Basecamp At Sunset Hideaway
Great place to unplug!
The views are absolutely amazing in the daytime. At night the city twinkles in the distance and there is atmospheric string lighting in the small campground. The isolation, beauty and privacy of this location are a dream and is just 30 minutes from Temecula wineries. We loved waking up to the noises of livestock and the free range llama. Be prepared for higher elevations and steep driving to get there but it’s absolutely worth it! We parked our van literally feet from the the edge of cliff with no obstructed views and had the whole camp to ourselves. This site is dog friendly and we had access to cellular data with AT&T for streaming services.

Epic Camping Spot!
This was my first camping trip since moving to SoCal. I have done a lot of camping in Oregon and was not sure about how things would be down here. I also wanted to check out Temecula and some wine country and the area. Staying at Sunset Hideaway was perfect! All the animals were a lot of fun wandering around. The donkeys were cool and friendly. Shirley the Llama was just doing her own thing and keeping an eye on the property. The two pups were sweet and chill. The chickens were in a coop and just doing chicken things. The bathroom was clean (porta potty) and the shower and wash areas were all great. The view from our campsite was incredible and very relaxing! Overall, this was a great experience and Jared was cool and the story behind what Kerri and Jared are doing is great and just adds to the experience! Thank you for sharing your awesome property. We will be back! Hope you all enjoyed your trip and that it was fruitful! I will bring you some Elk from Oregon the next time I come!

Unique and Magical!
My wife and I had such an amazing first hipcamp experience at the Avion stay. We were able to meet Jared who was very friendly and hospitable. You should definitely get some fresh eggs during your stay, the value is unbeatable (large and quality eggs), they we’re kind enough to give us extra eggs too. We originally had plans to visit a winery during our stay but felt their property was more than enough to stay put. The views are incredible and the atmosphere makes you feel you are already in such a unique and magical place. We appreciate the careful and thoughtful planning they put into their property, very aesthetic. From being greeted by all their animals. The Llama is just so cool see. Overall very satisfied with the Avion.

A hidden gem
This is a hidden gem! Our second year staying here in our camping van so we could be close to the Fox Raceway to watch our son at the MX Nationals. The views are incredible. It’s quiet, peaceful and relaxing! I love that they keep adding little things on to it like a casita for those that don’t want to camp. Love that it has a clean outhouse and warm shower and sink for doing dishes! Will be back for sure!
