We had a wonderful time at the barn! It is beautiful, clean, cozy, and inviting. We came in the winter but we used the fire place outside and also the stand up heater an we were super warm! It has all the necessities that you would need- kitchen ware, sink, stove, pitchers, etc. Makes it super convenient because it’s less stuff the guests have to pack from home! We would love to come back again for a group camping trip.

The Barn at Whiskey Hill
We had a group of about 20 and we all really enjoyed the Whiskey barn! We enjoyed the camp fire, loud speaker, and disco ball on the first night. Even with the rain the next day, we were all able to hang out comfortably inside the barn and cook, play games, and watch TV. The kitchen had just about everything we needed and we were able to utilize the charcoal grills as well. We enjoyed having the showers and bathrooms as well. We all love tent camping, but this was a nice step up that provided us extra conveniences with a large, private barn and outdoor area to enjoy. We would definitely like to come back again some time!

The converted barn was a great communal space with a fridge, burners for cooking and a full bathroom.
There is some flat ground around the barn, but much of the grounds have a slight slope to it so if you have a lot of people with tents and have to spread out, many of the tents will have a some uneven ground to deal with.

Dawn was very welcoming and responsive. The site is spacious and private. The outdoor shower worked great. There is some street noise but it quiets down at night. We had plenty of space for our very large tent and pick up truck. Given that this is in the Santa Cruz area, it's a fantastic option.

The Barn at Whiskey Hill
We came to Whiskey Hill Barn for my 40th birthday and it was perfect! Super cute spot. We really enjoyed all the amenities and proximity to Manresa Beach. 10/10 would recommend!

A great gathering place with lots of helpful items in the kitchen! Surprisingly, with around 25 women we never ran out of toilet paper & were able to easily share the one bathroom, outside shower, and portapotty. Much of the soft land is on a hill so unless you camp on the gravel, you will likely be on an incline. Dogs, coyotes, roosters, and vehicles can be heard during quiet hours, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Plenty of seating for our whole group on picnic tables and plastic and wooden Adirondack chairs. Responsive hosts helped us prepare for a great weekend.

The Barn at Whiskey Hill
We had an amazing time at Whiskey Hill! The hosts were great and the barn was perfect for our group to cook and hang out in. There were plenty of pots and pans and utensils for our group of 19. There was also plenty of seating outside and we enjoyed being able to have s’mores by the campfire. The property is just a short drive to beautiful beaches which was also great. I would definitely come back to Whiskey Hill!

Wow. This is a charming site. This is designed to please and meet the needs of campers. There is ample space that is level and clean to set up camp with a fire pit, huge picnic table (probably sits 16), lighting, fire pit, wireless, a WARM outdoor shower (my first) which easy to use, and a ping pong table (with paddles and balls).
Dawn was friendly, available and answered questions.
It was just the two of us. I couldn’t help but imagine how much fun this place would be for a family gathering or group of friends!

I loved the location and the setting; However, the campsite was next to the road, so it was not so quiet. It is on a private road, but the Neighbors play the drums and the dogs at that house bark what feels like all night long.

My friend and I stayed at Whiskey Hill 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! Dawn greeted us warmly and was happy to answer questions and share about the property. We were very comfortable with plenty of space to move about. We had our tents on a heavy thickness tarp as the substrate was pea gravel. It was great having plenty of space for our cooler and kitchen items next to the barn. There was a comfortable tall table with chairs where we sat for meals. There are plenty of places to sit and eat or play games on the property. Dawn has a sweet and friendly dog, Luna, who may come by to meet you. The site is between Whiskey Hill Road and Buena Vista (as was stated in the description) and there is expected road noise except in the late evening and early morning hours.

In a five week roadtrip from NJ to California, this had to be one of my favorite sites. The outdoor shower was heavenly. It felt private but not so remote that I’d worry about finding help. You can hear cars on the road pass by and you can hear coyotes, but I overall wasn’t bothered by other. There is also a super sweet dog who will greet you and ask for belly rubs. I would happily stay again.

We loved the location, close enough to the beach that we headed over daily to enjoy walks along the shore. We also popped over to the local u-pick and enjoyed fresh strawberries and raspberries.
The placement of the hookups was a little tricky, but we managed by driving forward into the spot and then working our truck back out between the barn and the trailer.
Since there are a few tent spaces here as well as a really nice common area, I think this spot would really shine if you reserved all of the spaces for a group camp with 2-3 other families. It would be like having your own totally private campground.

What a great spot just a couple miles to the beach. Love the tall trees ! I added a second night! Stayed with my husky in our truck camper and loved the outdoor shower. We pass through this area and will likely stay again ( one note is that a dog barks now and then — folks might be bothered but we’re a dog troop so no biggy for us.)

It was my first time using Hipcamp so I was excited to go to this location with my travel trailer and stay the night. When I arrived to the campsite it was a very narrow and steep decline to get into the campsite (which was not posted) and I struggled getting down the dirt ramp/driveway with my 15ft travel trailer which I haul with a 4x4 GMC truck and there was lots of gravel which made it very slippery and a treacherous. We almost didn’t stay due to the issue with the entryway but I convinced my partner to stay since we had already paid for our booking and we’re already there. The site is cute and is a nice location but there were issues: the WiFi did not connect even when I used the correct password and contacted the owner about it, the outside shower did not work when we tried to use it and the propane tank for the hot water was empty and the owner Dawn advised me that I should have notified her of this during my stay however, she is not prompt at responding to Hipcamp messages, and I couldn't contact her about these issues since the service was faulty and no WiFi was available. Lastly, our power also turned off in the morning around 7am and we woke up in our camper with no air/AC. I was told by the owner there was a power outage around 9am in the morning which caused the power to go out at the camp site but with everything considered, I don’t feel that this booking is worth $120 per night and am seeking a refund for the inconveniences we experienced during our stay.

This was one of our favorite camping sites while traveling the coast. The site was spacious with a comfortable heated outdoor shower and clean portable potty. There’s a very sweet dog who hangs out and protects the site from outdoor critters. There’s site provided camping chairs, a fire pit with a cooking rack, picnic bench, and potable water, we would definitely recommend coming staying here!

We really enjoyed the simple accommodations at Whiskey Hill. Just a little disappointed in having a creek side site when the creek was not accessible as pictured on the site but we found other things to entertain the kiddos.
Dawn was quick to answer questions and we had a great time.

This site was incredible and Dawn was incredibly responsive and helpful. We hosted a large group (19 people, 6 kids, and 6 dogs) at the site and everyone was more than comfortable. We loved having a kitchen with pots, pans, plates, etc. - far more than enough for our party. Felt like all the details and more were thought of for this location. Would highly recommend and will definitely rebook if we every need a site in the area again.

Very nice barn vibe. It’s in a rural area where there are lots of others barns and wildlife. Heard coyotes howling in the distance, didn’t bother us though. Very sweet doggy can in to check in on us. 3 campsites: creekside, tent site near barn, and tv site near barn. Restroom shower was cute with warm water. I’m porta potty was clean also. The tent site was beautiful with ping pong and corn hole and nice fireplaces and nice chairs. The smores as a welcome gift were also cherry on top. Loved it.

The Barn at Whiskey Hill
This spot was perfect for our combined Bachelor/ette camping weekend! We had 26 people there and the space was perfect.
The barn was stocked with so many great cooking & serving dishes/utensils, so we were able to make a great buffet for every meal. And the indoor bathroom and shower was really nice as an addition to the porta potty for such a big group.
There was plenty of space on site for our cars and tents and even an RV. I feel we could've spread out even more! We also hosted an "Olympics" and had plenty of space for volleyball and a huge team relay.
There are so many thoughtful details, like great lighting at night, the huge banquet picnic table for family meals, tons of Adirondacks and fire pits for hanging out at, cute decor throughout the barn.
As some other commenters mentioned, you can hear the cars on the road nearby, but this really didn't bother us. It wasn't that loud and it was worth the convenience of being so close to the road and to nearby shops (groceries, ice, gas, etc).
We loved our stay here and are already hoping to host another event here in the future.

Spent a great 2 nights at The Barn. Hookups for our pop-up camper, and room for multiple tents. Dawn was super responsive and extra-sweet with her S'mores and wine surprise! Our puppy played the entire time with property's dog. 5 out 5, would recommend and stay again!
