I read a bad review saying it was hard to find - this is completely false. The place was very easy to find from both Google maps and his instructions. Nice, peaceful setting with Joshua trees all around and windmills in the distance - they look close but they weren't close enough for us to hear them. The host was friendly, as was his dog, and he even gave us some fresh eggs from his chickens. We enjoyed the stay and found it well worth it.

Absolutely beautiful sunset and desert view, we especially loved the Joshua Trees and all the different cactus. Eric is very welcoming and super helpful, accommodating our schedule changes and giving directions. We also loved his very enthusiastic dog Una!

It’s a very quiet and chill campsite, close to Vegas, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon West Rim, etc. Good location and my phone has service which is very useful!

Beautiful sunsets and sunrises, Eric was very friendly, helpful and a great host. There is nothing else around there so, it’s a great place if you’re headed to or from Vegas and need a place for an overnight.

Unfortunately we couldn’t go to Eric because of the weather. He warned us and took care of our security. He did everything to give us our money back. The communication was great! We would have liked to spend the night at Eric’s place!

Unfortunately I never found the campground. I put the address in my google map, and also gave it to my children. I was directed to the site via GPS, and followed Eric’s directions on his website. I drove up and down the road behind my GPS , but no luck. So I camped in the desert at the address spot. No firewood, no bathroom etc
Eric was very really to my emails, but I would like a full refund

I am by no means a seasoned outdoors-person and none of this is the host's fault.
I'm simply writing to make people aware of certain things.
Pros:
• Sunsets are unobstructed and amazing.
• The night-sky viewing is fantastic. -Reason enough alone to spend the $20 to camp here.
• Site is very clean, and large enough to position your tent as wanted.
• Host leaves firewood for you, (if needed). Bring your own as there's not much free wood around.
• Stone circle fire area was ready with a metal grate, and 2 metal roasting sticks.
• No hassles, no unneeded interaction with the host. Pay, arrive, enjoy!
• Great price!!
• Close to main highway without having to hear it.
• If you need a place to stay for a night. This is 100% the place!
Meh:
• Site has a bucket for human waste. (see photo - not very private and basically in site #1).
• Coyotes(?) were barking almost all night (unless they were nearby pets, as houses are very close to the site - not host's fault).
• A rooster at the homestead across the street woke me at sunrise. (not host's fault)
• Beware the tiny spikes of nature!! AVOID bringing any debris into your tent, because even the twigs have spikes. (not host's fault).
Cons:
• No shade at site #2. None. Zero. (Yes, we knew this was desert in 103°F temps. We arrived at 2pm, and sat in AC car until 5pm; until there was enough shade from our tent to sit in. (Not really the host's fault and he has planted a tree at site #1.)
• The road (Hitching Post Dr.) you drive in from, off of White Hills Rd., required 10mph driving. It is bumpy as dirt roads usually are. That ribbed situation. Once in, I didn't want to leave again because it was rough on my Hyundai Sonata. (Again, not the hosts fault).
• I barely made it into the site as the runoff ditch is getting pretty deep. My front end dug into the far bank each time entering and exiting. Take it slow. No low clearance vehicles as mentioned in other reviews.
• There's really not much around the site. They're all empty real estate parcels with scrub brush and cactus. Nothing to explore in walking distance. (not host's fault).
Overall:
• The lack of shade was initially the biggest problem. Which was our own oversight. The site isn't very private, as it's on the edge of civilization in an undeveloped real estate parcel. However, the price was great, and it allowed me to finally going camping with my young daughter. I wish it had been a little more remote, but it wasn't 4 hours away from us, and didn't cost $100+ per night. I would certainly camp here again. Next time I'll just wait until after 5pm to arrive, or not come in summertime. Thank you Eric P. for creating the camp site. Even with my entire critique, I found it very enjoyable to be there and will remember it fondly.

Follow the GPS map directions provided in the link provided, then follow owners specific directions. I printed directions provided at registration, and one turn was missing. Not a big deal, just not a smooth as desired.
The "little wash" is fine for most ATVs and pickups, but we have a 5th wheel, and the tail dragged.
I did not see a size limitation on the advertised site either before we camped nor afterwards. RV size should be limited to, maybe, 30 feet overall length (tow vehicle + trailer OR single drivable RV). Think popup or Bulet trailers. The driveway is too narrow for large radius turns needed for larger towed or driven RVs.
Host = Awesome! He had a family emergency and still let us use his property, and he offered us free firewood. He is very communicative and he keeps the site clean.
This is a dirt site, so if you have pets, do not expect a clean camp. Despite that, we had a good time, the dogs loved their freedom to roam and sniff - everything - to their heart's desire, and it was very quiet.

The campsite itself was very calm, very quite, and clean. There was a fire pit ready to be used and plenty of space. I brought my girlfriend to this camp site because she has never seen a night sky filled with stars. This camp site was perfect! The night was very clear and we could see all the stars with no problem.
Eric is fast with responding with any questions you may have.
Highly recommend,

Very quiet. Unobstructed view to the South and West. Sunsets were as promised gorgeous.
Very large ant pile in the middle of the camp.
Could have used a rake to move some rocks and old dog doo Doo. The privy could be a little more private. Address sign very small, hard to see. Entrance a little challenging for low clearance, such as cars.
GPS took us right there. Yes we would use this camp site again.

For the price, this place really suited us. We were late, and Eric the host texted us to make sure we had good directions. When we arrived we skipped the driveway. Even though it was late, Eric helped us back our trailer up to the right spot. We appreciated the help. A fire was started for us as well as clean water. Eric was friendly, yet gave us privacy. Felt very safe and nice space for a family that just needed a safe place to sleep for the night before moving on. Definitely would recommend!

We missed the sunset because it was cloudy but we really enjoyed our stay at Eric’s! Eric was super nice and friendly. We cooked steaks and enjoyed campfire at night with the wood that Eric gave us. We made a lot good memories here. I would definitely camp here again. Thanks Eric!
