Awesome oasis in the city! Loved staying here and having a view of the neighbor's horses. Jared was a great host and super helpful—you won't go wrong here! I drove a 16' vintage travel trailer in, and there's plenty of room to turn around if you don't have great backing-up skills. Tons of amenities within minutes from the place.

Weekend Trip to Palo Verde Retreat

Palo Verde Retreat was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. The site was thoughtfully set up with a table and seating area, making it easy to settle in and feel comfortable right away. The host even had lights strung up around the space, which I’m sure looked lovely at night… although I have to admit, I fell asleep before dark and didn’t get to enjoy them! Overall, it was a wonderful place to unwind and disconnect. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a calm, restful stay.

Weekend Trip to Weary Traveler Haven

Camping here was amazing. There are two platforms but no one was booked when we were so we had it all to ourselves- very private. Everything was beautiful- we stared at the stars for hours. Great price too!

This place was absolutely beautiful! Clean restrooms and nice and warm/hot shower. Taylor was friendly and easy to communicate with, Getting here was a breeze. I will say if you want a completely quiet stay or if you’re a light sleeper this place might not be for you since you can hear cars as they’re driving by. But 10/10 recommend!!!

I’ve stayed here twice, both times a great experience. Proximity to boththe city and to nature. Flush toilet, sink, and shower are huge bonuses. It’s such a unique and picturesque spot. I felt lucky to find it on HipCamp. Niko is very responsive as well.

1 night at Mountain Vista Retreat

What a perfect location! With views of the mountains, forests and horse farms it is hard to believe you are just a few minutes from Phoenix. Cheryl and Jeff were very accommodating, despite my arriving past my own bedtime, let alone theirs. The spot is next to an attached garage at their home, but it felt like my own slice of heaven. Hook ups and the dump station were close by and easy to get to. I arrived after dark and was a bit surprised when I heard animal sounds, but quickly realized it was the neighbor’s horses. That was a treat that doesn’t happen where I live. It was exceptionally quiet and peaceful and I will return when I have time to enjoy the scenery and explore the nearby attractions like hiking and restaurants. I was in town for a medical appointment and made it my launch pad to northern AZ. Thank you to both Cheryl and Jeff! See you soon..

Nice enough place. Nothing fancy here. Just a big backyard with some shade and grass. The flowers and shade do make it comfortable. A few vehicles stored here and there. It meets the need for a decent place to stay for a couple of nights and the people are very friendly and accommodating. I can't give it a rave review but I don't really have anything bad to say either. It gets the job done and I would stay again if needed.
