Cactus Rose Ranch RV Sites

10 sites · RVs11 acres · Scottsdale, AZ
Cactus Rose Ranch is 11 acres in the north Scottsdale/ Rio Verde area of Arizona. This special area is surrounded by the Tonto National forest on the north & east, the McDowell Mountain park on the south, Fraisfield Preserve on the west. Several mountain trails nearby, of varied challenge. It is home to 360' awesome mountain views (sometimes purple, golden, or pink too), scenic desert vistas, and the best sunrises, sunsets, and starry nights in the world! Plenty of places nearby to hike, horseback ride, mountain bike, and explore Enjoy staying on our desert ranch located in rural North Scottsdale/ Rio Verde AZ! Several restaurants near, and 30-45 minutes into Scottsdale and all they have to offer! (NO on site BATHROOM FACILITIES...NO TENT CAMPERS unless you are self contained) The perfect retreat for those that like to see Arizona off the beaten path. Check out stellar mountain views, spectacular desert sunrises, sunsets, and star studded night skies! Wildlife and beautiful friendly birds. Listen to the quietness...and perhaps a night time coyote unique serenade. Located near some of the best hiking, biking, and horseback riding, in the state. Please note that we are down about 1/2 mile of dirt road which sometimes might be a bit challenging for XL 40 ft 5th wheels and other very low riding RVs. Most RVs have no issues. (Sometimes, the road might be too narrow for 2 vehicles... so someone will need to pull over in the plentiful wider areas... pls give the other vehicle a desert rural ranch friendly thank you "wave".) ENJOY! Get that "Way-Out-West" feeling. Wrap yourself in western fun. Take time for enjoying a morning cup of coffee and taking in the mountain views. Wi-Fi for computer and TV. Your comfort is important. This is a rural area and you will be serenaded by coyotes, mules, and roosters. There are no street lights so the stars are magnificent at night. There is about a mile of dirt road to get to the house, and it is reachable by most vehicles ( but maybe not a low-riding sports car). There are desert dirt pathways so bring appropriate footwear. We are nearby some awesome hiking, mountain biking, horse trail riding, world-class golf course, exceptional places to eat, unique shopping. Great fun! Want to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but be only 1 mile from town? Pitch your tent or park your camper among numerous towering Saguaro Cactus and stunning mountain views. Bring your camera or your horses! Perfect spot for relaxing, stargazing, and a fantastic view of the famous AZ sunsets! Please note we are located in a neighborhood so please respect the neighbors. There are hiking/horseback riding trails right off of my property that take you to the Spur Cross Conservation Area, or you can head 10 minutes north to the trailhead. The Black Mountain Hiking Trail is also awesome, you can see the whole valley from the top! Or, you can even ride your horses to the cowboy bars in town! Note: I have 2 spots available: 1 Campsite; 1 Glamping Trailer. I will try to block off campsites that are not in use after your booking in order to keep the site as private as possible. Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Tractor Supply and more are just a 10-minute drive. Want to explore a unique cowboy town? There will be no green grass in the summertime. Tag us on instagram! @margueritaranch Horse corral (50 ft roundpen) available to rent at extra cost. Message me!!

I’m Tammii, my husband Kevin (of 42 yrs. ) were missionaries for the past 17 yrs. And we felt it was time to get off the Fast lane and begin using the access road. In other words slow down a bit. While trying to figure out what the next season would look like we felt God encourage us that we weren’t finished yet just gonna do hospitality a bit differently then we had while working abroad in many different countries with many different cultures and people. So we made homebase Mesa AZ. And developed “The Field of Dreams”. After all If you build it they will come! Our Hipcamp site is new but very very nice. Camping near Scottsdale guide

Overview

Tucked between Phoenix and the Superstition Mountains, Scottsdale blends city and outdoor life. Start the day at a chic boutique, and end with a hike in the Arizona wilderness. With golfing, biking, horseback riding, and fishing, there’s always something to do. Local campgrounds and RV parks put you in the center of the action. Camp among the cacti at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. From your RV or tent camping site, hike and bike 40 miles of trails. Near Mesa, Usery Mountain Regional Park has 73 sites and a dump station. Nearby, fly model airplanes and ride horses in the hills. For cooler temperatures, RVers and tent campers can head into the Tonto National Forest. Tortilla Campground is popular with rock climbers, boaters, and anglers. From Burnt Corral, you can fish and swim in Apache Lake. Most Forest Service campgrounds have picnic tables and fire rings. About 35 miles from town, find year-round camping at Lost Dutchman State Park. Here, tent and RV camping sites sit next to massive red-rock cliffs. In the spring, you can hike or bike past fields of desert wildflowers.
