Elk Island We have a 22.6 acre island with 10 acre feet of water rights from the river that we are just clearing and creating the final design so come and be a part of making the future come to life by implementing things we found from the past.Thomas Owens Ferry site is about 6 acres under the bridges that was the site of the 1850s Deer Creek Settlement ferry operated by Thomas Owens family which has about 6 acres inclusive of half the overflow channel and it connects to about 10 acres of inner city lake on the South Umpqua River.
We recommend getting to the island early enough in the day to look around and pick the best area. The whole island is open to Hipcamp for campers to pick the area that suits them. The porta pots are in the northwest corner of the high portion o
