With its various arms and nooks and crannies, the lake has 1,100 miles (1,770km) of coastline, which is more than the state of California. It’s no wonder it’s such a popular spot for boating and watersports, with so many places to dock and so much water to explore. The lakes and rivers of the Ozarks are rich with fish, particularly several species of bass and catfish, as well as trout, crappie and carp, all of which attract many recreational fishing boats. There are also more unexpected water creatures like small freshwater jellyfish, which are not believed to be native to North America but do periodically appear in the Lake of the Ozarks, particularly in late summer and early autumn. Site 2 - Lake of the Ozarks, Camping

BEWARE: DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Where to start on such a horrible experience. First of all this place is NOT meant for an RV but we’ll get to that in a minute. We arrived at night to find that the site was littered with garbage. It has vehicles parked on it, piles of trash, a pile of tile, a grill, a deep freezer, a shack made up of pallets, swing sets, and more. So we paid $83 to sit around a fire looking at someone’s junk. When we went to leave the next morning we got stuck at the top of the hill because the road was never meant for any sort of Rv. It’s incredibly steep and theres not enough gravel, so we sunk in the clay and had to wait 3 hours for a special type of tow truck to get us out. When I called Shawn he said “it’s not my responsibility that you drove down there” even though this spot is literally listed as an RV spot. The tow ended up costing us hundreds of dollars. He did not even offer to refund us our money. Do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else.

Nice location!

Once this location is fully done, Shawn will have a great location! Close enough to the water, that you can take a nice walk down. However, the ticks were pretty prominent in this area- which is par for the course in MO.
