Forests in Minnesota are a dime a dozen, but Finland State Forest really is a dime. With 311,970 acres on which to lose yourself and find Mother Nature, this area has enough explorable corners to occupy you for a lifetime.
We don’t need to tell you that fall is the best time of year to see the forest, but we can’t help but mention how insanely pretty it is here during the season of all seasons. And the most amazing part about the leaves beginning to change is that it means cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are just around the corner. But when spring rolls around, oh! The budding flowers are simply gorgeous. And then it’s summer, and you’re swimming in Finland’s abundant warm-water lakes. Wait, which season was the best again?
