Come walk or bike our emerald aisles! We have five miles of groomed trails! Plus, we offer our exclusive access to state land! The Mud Hen Creek runs through this portion of land and there is a huge beaver lodge on the creek's bank. Trek along Silver Canyon Ridge, don't be surprised by the sudden flight of grouse along this trail. Visit Scout Hill, for a sunny afternoon picnic, the Ceder trees will lead you there. If you hear knocking, you will know that the woodpeckers are enjoying a picnic lunch also! Our campsites are nestled underneath a canopy of mixed wood forest. We have birch, poplar, variety of pine, maple, and more! Nearby you will find our newly finished outhouse, complete with a portable shower and natural light. Fire rings at every campsite. You will have access to parking near or next to your site. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy! Our property features beautiful emerald aisles, some might be covered in moss! Near the creek you will find " Grandfather" he is a very large pine that has been dried up for several year, but his beautiful and unique look is admirable. See if you can find the "Prince " this giant is hidden in the North trails. His beautiful branches tower over our trails and we have cleared a spot there to rest. His lovely "Princess" is near the back of the main house. She is surrounded by strong pines that stand guard through our long cold winters. Our property extends, via trail, to state land and the Mud Hen Creek. The views are breathtaking! Please come and bring your family, pet dog, and your bikes! We are so excited to share our secret forest with friends. Off site: We have Long Lake public access, 5.8 miles down our road. Mesabi trail, 15 minutes away and White face Reservoir within 30 minutes. The Range Cities are charming and you could visit several in one day! Some of our favorite places to eat in Virginia are at Kunnaris Market and cafe. They serve wonderful fresh salads, baked goods and more! The Sugar Shack specialize in wood fire pizza, pastries and coffee! Another amazing local store is F&D Meats! They make their own brats. Blueberry wild rice is my favorite! They also have wonderful cuts of meat and all sorts of grilling items. They also have wonderful organic and natural products and much, much more! Here at home we raise chickens, yes Sweet Davy J. named each one! Our Guinea Mama Gray, just hatched four keet! Cayuga Mama Luna, and Her Mr O'Mally, are first time parents to seven darling ducklings! Her nest was under the shelter of our giant Norway Pine next to our butter yellow cottage in the woods. This little plot on the Minnesota map has been our home for the last three years!

#1 One of a kind
Definitely one of a kind 😊
My pup and I loved our stay! As a solo female camper, it can be a little daunting staying certain places but we felt so cozy and safe while also feeling tucked away from others. We had everything we needed plus more. Patty greeted us when we arrived and showed us to our spot nestled away in the trees. She even left us a little goodie basket of treats for us both which was just above and beyond. We planned on adventuring elsewhere most of the time and just sleeping at the site but there were so many cool trails to explore within the campground that we ended up just staying put the first day. Would absolutely recommend!

#1 One of a kind
My family and I loved camping on Patty's land! We had plenty of space for a 8 person tent, table, lots of camp chairs and much more. Also lots of space for our Tahoe to park. Patty and her husband were such wonderful hosts. They communicated very well and were very attentive to our needs during our stay (provided multiple shower bladders, firewood and potable water). Also the outhouse was well kept and very spacious. The land provided many walking and hiking trails around our campsite. It was very beautiful with the leaves changing and the full moon that we experienced. The small touches (hand sanitizer, toliet paper, farm fresh eggs, zucchini bread and faries--which our toddler LOVED) made this a truly enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back. 5 stars!!
