IMPORTANT INFO Please don't mind our farm junk/tools as you enterGate 1! We are slowly working on clean up and relocation of materials from the entry road and away from view. This is located past the mineral baths. It's the furthest one to reach, and accessible by foot. We were so thankful for wonderful host's and a tranquil beautiful setting. They even gave us fresh farm eggs and made our stay so comfortable. Will definitely recommend strawberry fields.

This is a great spot to access La Selva Beach, a long, gorgeous beach. We went to a nearby grocery store and got snacks, and hung at the beach on a warm, beautiful day until sunset. The closeness and access cannot be beaten. Robin is a welcoming host - with eggs! The place is clean and they left wood for us for a fire. It is exactly as described - overlooking a big expansive field. There are picnic tables, cornhole and games for kids. The porta potty was clean and well maintained. Great spot for hanging on a beach in the Santa Cruz area!

2 nights at Saddle Mountain Carmel

Nice campground close to Carmel-by-the-Sea. We were greeted by the friendly hosts and they were very helpful. Beautiful pool, gazebo and walking trails. We found the Saddle Mountain RV park convenient to downtown. It was typically about a 15 minute Uber to Carmel by the sea. Highly recommend eating at Hogs Breath and Mission Ranch (both once and currently owned by Clint Eastwood)- excellent food!! We also took the 17 Mile Dr e-bike tour from the Big Sur Bikes - OUTSTANDING WAY TO SEE PEBBLE BEACH. If you go, ask for Suzy!

Robin and Ray were absolutely wonderful hosts and made our stay at Strawberry Fields so welcoming and comfortable. The property was peaceful, beautiful, and a perfect place to relax near the coast. They went above and beyond during our stay. They provided us with fresh eggs and firewood, and having hookups and toilets available made camping so convenient. What I appreciated most was how helpful and kind they were when I was having several issues with my rental RV. They personally helped me with the hookups and tried to troubleshoot the leaks and hot-water problems I was experiencing with the RV. Their willingness to step in and help really meant a lot, especially when I was dealing with problems that had nothing to do with their property. Robin and Ray were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared that we were comfortable. Their hospitality made such a difference in our trip. I would happily stay at Strawberry Fields again and highly recommend it to other Hipcampers looking for a peaceful stay with truly wonderful hosts. ❤️

Weekend Trip to Saddle Mountain Carmel

Saddle Mountain was great! Awesome pool, sauna and grounds. Well kept, friendly folks running it, nice (steep) hike. Site 11 itself wasn't great. It's small and up against the office. When we arrived they happily suggested we choose another open spot. We took 23, and it was perfect.

This place is awesome! Location is great and the site is flat and easy to get into and out of. The beach is gorgeous and right across the street. The hosts were wonderful and we especially enjoyed the fresh eggs. We will definitely be camping here again.
