A very special place to spend a night. It was easy accessing this campsite. It felt private and secluded while still being generally near civilization. The site was clean and extremely well maintained. It was very quiet.
Once we started cooking a bunch of yellow jackets did appear all of a sudden so I would definitely recommend a fly swatter or some other way of defending your feast. The owner does have a yellow jacket trap but sometimes outdoors is just outdoors.

Great little spot to relax. Had a few wasps, but was happy to find a can off wasp spray. Well worth it!
This was the absolute best spot to bring my 8-year-old son for his first real taste of the outdoors. Honestly, like another review mentioned, it’s basically glamping. You get incredible, peaceful views alongside awesome perks: clean water, a standard 120V outlet, a grill, a hot tub, and plenty of cooking gear.
The main catch? No bathroom. We brought a privacy tent for a camp toilet and used our Costco RinseKit for hot showers, which made it a complete non-issue for us.
A couple of quick heads-up on privacy and bugs:
Yellow-jackets: Woke up every morning to them buzzing around. They were everywhere, but they left us alone and didn’t sting once.
Flies: Took over in the afternoons, which actually turned into peak entertainment. My son had a total blast hunting them with his Bug-A-Salt gun—10/10 recommend bringing one (even if you don't have kids)!
Privacy: The site is a bit exposed, so I parked my truck parallel to the main gate to block the line of sight from the road.
By 10:10 PM, it was complete lights out and dead quiet. My son literally called it "the best experience ever" on the drive home, which made every penny worth it. So grateful I stumbled across this Hipcamp listing—we’ll definitely be back!

Very Private. Single Site Location. The Hot Tub was awesome. Clean and Hot...ready to use.
Was disappointed that there was no bathroom, but we were able to use our portable toilet on the camper van. The listing clearly stated "No Bathroom", so this wasn't a surprise.
Electric and Water on site was great. There was also a fire pit, grill with propane, and grilling utensils. We didn't use the grill, but it was a very nice set up.
Enjoyed the Hot Tub again in the morning before departing.
This was a single site location which was private and an awesome getaway.

The hot tub and fire accomodations were a happy surprise for our first night on the road.
Finding the specific site was a little tricky, but we figured it out after a little backtracking.
Beautiful site, quiet and many thoughtful enhancements. The absolute highlight was the hot tub, super clean, just filled and hot and ready to go. Nice fire pit, fresh water and more. Daniel was super responsive, even when it was likely apparent to him that I didn’t fully read the email(s). I’ve been vanning for a few years throughout the west and this is one I’ll be back to. It’s almost too good to share

Great spot to land my Sprinter Van .Nice fire pit .It was also a surprise that there was a BBQ and a hot tub on site.If you ride a motorcycle the roads are nice and twisty .Highly recommend .Daniel was very accommodating.

Overall, I would recommend this site. We didnt use the hot tub so I have no comment on that. The site is shaded, the fire pit and chairs are nice, as are the lights. Its reasonably flat and can by private if you park your car across the entrance. But the site is pretty small and if you want to explore there is nowhere to go other than the site or a road that is a bit dangerous to walk on. We also had a ton of flies and yellow jackets at our site. We bought a trap and hung it, but the owner said he hadnt received complaints about this issue before. Once we got the yellow jacket situation under control it was more enjoyable.

What a lovely spot to camp! I stayed here one night while traveling down the coast and it was well worth it. It was private without being super secluded. And to have a hot tub was amazing! Definitely keeping this place in mind for future travels.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The campsite was peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful o trees with incredible views of the rolling Carmel hills. It felt like the perfect place to unwind after exploring the area.
We absolutely loved soaking in the hot tub while we relaxed at camp, and we appreciated how quiet and well-kept everything was. The site had plenty of space for our trailer, and it was easy to settle in and enjoy the scenery. Waking up to the beautiful landscape and ending the day under the trees made this one of our favorite stops on our California road trip.
If you’re looking for a quiet getaway that’s close enough to enjoy Carmel and the coast while still feeling tucked away in nature, this is an excellent choice. We’d happily stay here again!
Amazing place super quiet The only thing I could say is there’s a lot of bugs so bring bug spray. The roads to get up there are pretty tough to get through.
The owners have put a lot of work into making this a sweet spot. But, it is a very small footprint, nestled into a hill side that is steep, shaded (which can be good) and the drive to get there left us completely stressed out. Very scary road. The good news, is that there is a second way to get there, which we took on the way out. So study google maps and choose THE LONG WAY, because it is not that much longer and it is a lot safer.

Fantastic decked out campsite. Everything was well maintained, it was awesome. Hot tub was clean and wonderful; along with a hose, string lights, a clean grill, an outlet and starlink all being provided, it was just a step under full on glamping! We had an amazing time.
Things to watch out for - poison oak on site along the slope and surprise rain. Wasn’t captured in the weather forecast, not even while it was actively raining! Luckily it was a soft rain and the lovely tree canopy provided a good bit of shelter, but the site (and our tent) definitely got soaked after a full night. (Of course this was the one time we chose not to bring an ez up or any rain gear in general in order to pack light 😅) Also, it feels very private for the most part, until a car drives down the bend in the road and lights up the whole campsite that is. Seemed like the bit of road just above the campsite was a well-used parking spot, and with the gradient it felt like they had a substantial view over the fence of the site below…
Regardless, Daniel was responsive and super generous - our car battery died while we were packing up, and he came and helped us jump the car! Super grateful for his generosity and would 1000% stay again.
We had such a great time at our spot on Daniel’s land. We brought our animal, had a gorgeous view, hot tub every night and the wifi starlink was great. Perfect trip!
I loved tent camping! The lights were so beautiful and not having to bring our own chairs was perfect. The skewers were perfect, we brought our own firewood and made s’mores under the stars and finished the night hot tubing before we camped under the stars. Overall it was a perfect experience and we couldn’t have been happier!

Awesome stay!! Tons of privacy, strong Starlink and the hot tub is private. The road is super windy and steep. It’s a very pretty drive just make sure you rig is good for that.

It was a decent place, but lack of attention to details. I did a screenshot the address and lockbox, but didn't screenshot the entire email. That's on me I suppose, but knowing there is no phone or internet service, it would be a Simple Fix to post the pertinent info at the site so that guests could fill the water tank that was empty, and have the internet connection to let my family know I arrived safely. Also, no baby goats as advertised. Overall, not worth the price

We had a lovely weekend at Hidden Waters! WiFi was excellent and we didn’t have a single problem with it. The secluded nature of the campsite made it really easy to unwind and relax after daily living in the city.
Just a note for finding the location - don’t use the “get directions” link given by HipCamp. Instead, just type the address directly into your Maps and it will lead you right to the location. Hot tub and stove were very clean and refreshed for usage and the string lights were a great addition to the spot.
In the warmer months, be sure to bring bug spray or one of those citronella candles. Lots of mosquitos during dawn and dusk, but somehow we managed not to get bit using natural bug spray.
The host was also great and timely with communication. Truly a 10/10 spot and hope to make it back out that way in the near future.

Awesome stay, it’s a steep drive up but the spot is fantastic plenty of room to pull in and out. We had a great trip.
This is the sort of tucked-away spot you'd hope to find when you're boondocking somewhere. Totally quiet, just you and the trees.
Great communication from host and directions to the site were right on the money.
We camped there in our 25' RV - I sure wouldn't take anything bigger up that road and driveway. It is winding and barely wide enough to pass in many spots.
No cell service and Starlink wasn't stable because of the heavy canopy.
