Some say on a cold, moonlit night, they’ve seen his two old mules, pulling an old car frame past Camp Cedar Creek.

The Barn is located on a one acre lot, shared with the host's home. I give guests privacy while they are here, but I do come out to the barnyard twice a day to feed and tend the animals. Our property was a small family farm for several generations. Our family purchased the property about 18 years ago. Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. We decided to share the beautiful view and seclusion of our area with others. Our goal was to keep the cost of building down so that we could pass on the savings to you so that you would not have to be rich to enjoy our lovely area. This inspired the idea of a glamping cabin. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience. In 2023, when we began work on the glamping dome (stay tuned--coming soon!!), we decided to add electricity, running water, and a hot tub to the tiny house! We hope you enjoy the cabin (and, soon, the dome) and the stunning view from them as much as we enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with you! Note: The Charming Glamping Cabin is at a totally different property. That property also has a section that used to be farmed. Now a lot of it is forest. We purchased the property around 2000. This cabin was built approx. 10 years later. At that point, the cabin was a tiny economy cabin with a sofa bed. However, it seemed most folks preferred comfort over economy, so in 2020, we added a bump-out to the side of the cabin so there would be room for a queen bed. Guests have loved the improvement. Evergreen Grove Campsite was the first Hipcamp site I've stayed at and Kristen's space was exactly what the description and pictures implied. The Water Shed was convenient and had all the things I needed. There was even firewood for the fire pit. The space was close to Kristen's house, but still peaceful. Kristen was sweet and greeted me once I arrived. There were hikes within walkable distance. My only regret is that I'd stayed two nights instead of one!

We had an incredible stay during our family trip. We originally booked for two nights but ended up extending another day because we didn’t want to leave. We came as a family of four with two little kids, and this place exceeded all our expectations. The property is beautiful with incredible views and great amenities, you really don’t need to leave. Our kids especially loved the arcade, the pumpkin carving, and the zip line. The tiny home was spotless, well kept, and the welcome basket with snacks, wine, and s’mores kit was such a nice touch. We had the pleasure of the owners who were warm and hospitable. Their recommendation to visit the Farmers Daughter shop was spot-on, the burgers, sausages, and steak were fantastic. Quiet, relaxing, and perfect for families or couples. We’re already planning our next trip. Highly recommend, 5 stars!

Weekend Trip to Ferns in the Forest

Virgil & Pam really go above and beyond at The Fern House! The cabin was comfy and stocked with everything one could need for an extended weekend away. Our hosts were generous and gracious. They provide great communication and hospitality. We spent 3 nights and wish it could've been longer! Our pups loved the mile walk around the property each morning plus great hiking spots nearby. We took advantage of the fireplace, local eatery suggestions, and the loft was the perfect hideaway for resting and waking to beautiful wooded views. We cant wait to come back!

I just loved this place. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I just bought a 23ft travel trailer and this was my first stop on a 3 week trip. Its November so the place only had a couple campers that weren't seasonal residents campers. I had my 4 dogs so the campground put me away from anyone else which was great. My site backed the woods so it was a beautiful view out back. The staff helped me back my new camper in, and the spot I got was very big. I love little orleans, and the surrounding areas. Bills place never dissapoints and is a 5 min drive from the campground. I will definitely be back

Our group stayed at the Twisted Oaks Site! It was quite the view and a great get away. Our site was secluded and we didn’t get any traffic coming in and out. Totally recommend!! I loved the available benches provided by the fire.
