Learn more about this land: This is a beautiful 44 acre land with a water stream running through it making it a serene and relaxing hidden gem. The camp site is on a 12 acre open field with complete privacy from the main road with Sheep living on the property. There are two small mountain ridges that are great for hiking while being able to enjoy the scenic panoramic views.  There is also a 9 acres of land across the main camp site that is surrounded by water on 3 sides, which is excellent for fishing. We are located just a few miles from the West Virginia boarder.  TIPS: -PLEASE KEEP ALL FOOD IN THE CAR when going to sleep or when you are away from the site. - The area has wild animals (snakes, bears, coyotes, etc.) so make sure you stay safe and keep your food in a secure place. *pro-tip: animals are typically more scared of you, however be cautious and watch your step. - During the Spring and Summer, there are all kind of bugs around so make sure bug spray is a priority!! - There are two natural spring waters locations near by. - If your planning to go into the water make sure to put on WATER SHOES! and enter at your own risk.

5 nights at Ridge Rider Campground

I just loved this place. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I just bought a 23ft travel trailer and this was my first stop on a 3 week trip. Its November so the place only had a couple campers that weren't seasonal residents campers. I had my 4 dogs so the campground put me away from anyone else which was great. My site backed the woods so it was a beautiful view out back. The staff helped me back my new camper in, and the spot I got was very big. I love little orleans, and the surrounding areas. Bills place never dissapoints and is a 5 min drive from the campground. I will definitely be back

This spot was private and had great access to a creek. I have a dog that doesn’t do well with strangers and it was so nice being able to let him run around and play in the water off leash. The host checked in via text to see if we needed anything while we were there. We did bring a 21 foot camper and had no issues getting in or out.

Wonderful experience on Craig's land! The whole time was as close to perfect as possible - perfect weather, cool evenings/mornings that caused a beautiful fog resting on the water, that dissipated as you finished your morning coffee. Nice sized lot that can accommodate larger groups but just as perfect for a solo camper like me! Loved having the trains so close (they can be quite loud but I absolutely loved it) and the clear water right there for fishing, kayaking. My favorite so far, I can't wait to go back! PS (this is not a complaint, just an FYI) - T-mobile service is not really existent at the site, but Verizon is good. Just FYI.

This place is perfect! Craig is so easy to get ahold of with any questions and quick to respond. We loved our stay at his amazing campsite and plan to come back and stay again for sure! The site is right next to the river, has plenty of space for multiple tents and dogs. The fire pit comes ready with a grate on it. He has wood available at the site. We tried our hand at fishing, but didnt catch anything. Either way, it was a very amazing river campsite. There is a train that passes by occasionally on the other side of the river, but that was no bother to us. We cant wait to go back!

The place was just what we were looking for. On the site there was a lot of flat space to put our tent or walk, the fire pit had a variety of grills you could use for easy cooking, and there was a perfect view of the water which was relaxing. It was a great place to bring our dogs. Picnic tables were also definitely handy. The site was down far enough from road to be quiet and private, and the train tracks across the river didn't bother us at all. The porta-john was very clean and stocked with toilet paper. And it was really nice to be able to buy firewood there and pay with Venmo (when our cell reception worked). The owner was great with communication. Highly recommend staying there, we will be back.

Great site that feels very private and secluded yet it is still close to many local activities and necessities if wanted. Only downside is the occasional train going by at night so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to be next to the water & you could easily launch a canoe from this site. We did fish from the shore but recommend bringing waders. We did see a lot of people on the water fishing & canoeing - so you can people watch. There was a lot of train activity but it could have been a busy schedule weekend so not the norm. Overall enjoyed our stay & will book again.

The river was absolutely beautiful, seen many eagles and hawks, and seeing them diving for fish was awesome to see. Loved the train being right across the river too! Definitely will be back. 😊

This is the perfect campground for a quiet getaway. The staff are friendly, the campground os clean. They have these nifty "camper cabins" which are just a marvel of ingenuity. They have cool activities and some really cool ducks that frequent the pond. Stayed 3 nights. Will definitely return.
