3 nights at Riverdale Farm

We had an incredible stay during our family trip. We originally booked for two nights but ended up extending another day because we didn’t want to leave. We came as a family of four with two little kids, and this place exceeded all our expectations. The property is beautiful with incredible views and great amenities, you really don’t need to leave. Our kids especially loved the arcade, the pumpkin carving, and the zip line. The tiny home was spotless, well kept, and the welcome basket with snacks, wine, and s’mores kit was such a nice touch. We had the pleasure of the owners who were warm and hospitable. Their recommendation to visit the Farmers Daughter shop was spot-on, the burgers, sausages, and steak were fantastic. Quiet, relaxing, and perfect for families or couples. We’re already planning our next trip. Highly recommend, 5 stars!

Weekend Trip to Our Farm in Strasburg, VA

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Full Moon dome. 2 adults and 3 large dogs had PLENTY of space both inside and outside to rest and relax. We LOED watching the sheep outside the large dome window while drinking coffee in the mornings (French press provided!). There was plenty of firewood for the firepit and a propane grill nearby - we had such a peaceful experience. Highly recommend ordering some popovers and banana nut w/ chocolate chip muffins! We ordered the night before and Remy had them made and packaged in a wonderful picnic basket by 08300 the next morning! And while you're there, pick up some fresh grass-fed steak for grilling bringing home. Directions: site navigation was very easy. Custom road, parking, and site signs made it very easy to find the dome at night, All linens for both bed and futon are provided so we didn't need to worry about packing bedding/pillows etc Traveled in early November and didn't have any issues with bugs like mosquitoes or ticks. Compost toilet in the dome was such a luxury and easy to use. Tips/tricks: bring a bucket or bowl for gray water. You'll need a way to wash plates/utensils, french press, hands etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kale’s Cottage. We found it clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen has all the basics which allowed us to eat all of our meals in the tiny house. We loved the Full Moon Tent at Remy’s Farm! The tent was spacious - which came in handy during a rainy evening. Bed was comfy, plenty of blankets and pillows to stay cozy for a lazy morning or cool evening. The views were lovely. We had fall colors, lots of open space, and a perfect getaway from the city. We’ll definitely be back!

We’d never been to Strasburg before but there’s a lot of amazing coffee and food downtown as well if you need something to do. Definitely will be coming back!

Hook's Hideaway is still our favorite weekend getaway. Waking up and drinking coffee with a river front view is amazing whether you're on the covered balcony or inside with the floor to ceiling windows in the living room. Just enough creature comforts inside for her and rustic enough outside around the fire pit for me. Richie and Rae are both great, responsive hosts that always make sure our stay is memorable. Love this place!

This place gets all the stars and all the rating points. The place itself is cute and cozy and also very comfortable. The host has thought of so many things to make it wonderful between the two different fire pit options, the hot tub, a telescope for star gazing, and snacks/treats for us to enjoy. It's so calm and peaceful out here. You're surrounded by trees that a trip at any time of year is awesome.

This is such a beautiful gem of a spot. Secluded but for the cows. Watching the mist above the water at sunrise is really beautiful. The fall leaves are just starting to change too. 1 night at Our Farm in Strasburg, VA

Beautiful spot that is secluded and private, yet plenty of space with a perfect view of the night sky. The dome was very cozy and homely and felt like you were staying inside something like a cabin or private home. It does get pretty warm inside during the day if the curtains are left open; there was a ventilation fan and also two flaps on the exterior to help move air and control the temperature. It was also chilly during the night (our visit was in early-September) but there were extra blankets for nights like that. It also gets very dark once the sun goes down but there were two lanterns that helped get around and also several small lights around the interior. If I were to give any suggestions for the host, it might be beneficial to look at setting up solar so there’s power to charge electronics and maybe even set up some hanging lights inside. The rechargeable lantern had plenty of battery for our stay since it was just for one night but would not have lasted for two. Overall, I highly recommend booking a stay here! The host was very friendly and communicative and the property was well maintained and furnished. The dome is secluded but has plenty of open space around you and has a beautiful view of the night sky! I also loved that firewood was already provided and whoever thought of including a wagon with your stay deserves a raise! Will be definitely be back soon!
