This property and farm has been in our family for 3 generations. In 1964 my grandfather started the campground due to limited camping at New Germany. My father tells stories of it being filled with guests all summer long! Over the years there was few upgrades and now it's in need of a facelift. Landscaping, electric upgrades and bathhouse remodels were completed Spring 2021. We will continue to renovate in phases it's been a labor of love, but you can still see the beauty of this rural location and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Lots of trees, shade and nature. It's located near New Germany State Park, 1.5 miles by car, less than a mile by foot. The state park has a lake and hiking trails. Garrett County has so much to offer, waterfalls, lakes, hiking, skiing, Amish gifts, history, fresh air, beautiful scenery. The campground was first started in 1964 by my grandparents, we are currently completing renovations in phases.

- Hunting is prohibited at the campsite and the surrounding 10 acres, however hunters may be present in other areas of the mountain during the fall. Always be aware of your surroundings.
- Wifi is not available, however there is adequate cell phone reception for all common carriers.

My friends and I have stayed here twice in the last 4 years. Both times we really enjoyed it! The host is friendly and stopped by to say hi! There is a nice bathroom, the site is right by the river, and has some nice tree cover! You are pretty close to your neighbors but with the tree cover and river sounds it’s not too noisy. All in all 100% recommend!

We had a decent size group (16 people). We also had 3 dogs. This site was a great size. Plenty of room; even if we had more people in our group. Easy access to the river. Shallow to get in, and deeper as you go out.
The only thing that caught us off guard was the "private bath house". We just didn't realize it was "one bathroom" (one toilet, one shower). But it worked for us, and wasn't bad!
It was nice to have the little convenience store with food available.
10/10 our whole group said we would stay here again!

The place was beautiful! The cabin had everything we needed… games, cooking and cleaning supplies, wifi, tv with plenty of watching options, there was even a telescope for star gazing! Loved the peace and quiet. I loved that although there were other cabins, they each had a more than adequate amount of personal space so that it still felt like a romantic secluded getaway for you and your spouse/partner. This is a lovely setup and I would highly recommend. I definitely look forward to coming back! Thank you Rae!

We had a great time here. Between the river, the playground, and the creek, the kids and adults really enjoyed the stay.
The Bridge site was good for us. It was close to the playground, bathrooms, and store.
The site is big, but there weren't a lot of flat places on the site. We l but we did get two tents up in fairly level ground.
There was lots of natural spots and everyone loved seeing all the animals. We saw lots of fish, a frog, a turtle, a salamander, lots of lizards, and one water snake. It was great for the kids to see it all and the adults loved it, too.
The biggest con was that the river was low, making the tubing trip kind of a bust (not the camp grounds fault, but something to consider). The rooster made us a bit crazy cause it went off all day.

We stayed for a long weekend at the “Rocks” site. Plenty of space for 6 tents to accommodate our group- with space left over for our cooking supplies. The cooking grate swung over the firepit, which was convenient when we needed more space for firewood. The river was easily accessible for all ages- make sure you bring water shoes with non-slip bottoms. The host was pleasant and accommodating, and allowed us our privacy. There was plenty of wooded space between our site and the others. The shower house was convenient and accessible. We brought our own camping toilets and privacy tents- highly recommend for the comfort of the ladies in the group. We utilized those in the evening/night especially. We explored the Paw Paw tunnel and Berkeley Springs during the day and returned for lunch and swimming in the afternoon. Overall it was an enjoyable experience!

Hidden Gem! The site we were at was so pretty, lots of room while also being secluded. The scenery was gorgeous and had easy access down to the river which was also a site to see! Would stay again in the future. The store also had the most amazing italian sub we've ever eaten, and lots of essentials if you needed it!

First let me say that our hosts Amber and Larry went above an beyond to help make pur trip amazing. They are really great. The property is rather expansive, and although it rained most of our trip, we were able to explore a little, see the waterfall site near the bever dam site, and use the beautiful pond on the property to do some swimming. The highlight for my kids was the water trampoline and seeing some of the farm animals. The beaver dam site is very private, possibly the most private due to how set back it is. There was ample space and multiple tables around the site. Im sure during good weather nighttime stargazing is amazing there. We will definitely make a return trip!

Beautiful site right on the creek. Great for bird watching - had a bald eagle visiting us all weekend.
Plenty of space for parking and tents.
Firering with a grill, plus two picnic tables, is nice for cooking dinner.
The private bathrooms with showers are a nice touch and make it comfortable.
Overall, a great campsite and would definitely like to return in the future!

We loved glamping here! The site and the outhouse were clean! Amber checked on us twice. They had milk and cheese for sale, unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to rush out the last morni g and did not get to purchase any! The water was blue and refreshing! The kids had an absolute blast in the water, even with the storms rolling through occasionally

24 ft travel trailer

The site was level and easy to back in. Hook ups were great. Used our 50amp to 30amp converter, since that site is 50amp only. On Parkersburg Rd, there is a one lane bridge with 40ft limit for vehicle and trailer. If too long, plan to use easy alternate routes to site. It is worth it! The reason is sharp turn appears to make it unlikely to make if longer. We turned left onto Parkersburg Rd when leaving with the travel trailer to Frostburg. The view of the hills across the valley were great. Easy and short walk up hill from site to GAP trail. Quiet as well. Our dog had a blast. Frostburg was minutes away and Cumberland was a simple 20 minute ride. We would stay again.

We hammock camped at The Pointe at Riffle Farms and it was a great experience from start to finish. We had the site entirely to ourselves, which made it feel wonderfully private and secluded. Being so close to the bison was the highlight — it’s not every day you get to fall asleep and wake up with a herd grazing nearby, and the farm tour gave us a great look at how the operation runs. The portapotty was a bit of a walk from the site, but it was still a welcome upgrade over no bathroom at all or a composting toilet. Would definitely book again and recommend it to anyone wanting a unique, laid-back camping spot with a wildlife twist.

2 nights at The Oasis at Bear Run Farms
If you are debating booking this site, do it. We just spent two days at the waterfront cabin and this has been the most memorable trip. My son and I hail from Chicago and decided to make a detour to this spot on the way to see family in Baltimore. We had such an incredible time on the water and experiencing the beauty of this family’s farm. They were so helpful and accommodating, even lending us fans because we forgot ours at home. I got to spend a lot of time talking to Amber’s husband about their farm and their garden, and they even sent us home with some fresh veggies. Don’t skip out on the farm stand - we bought a lot of creams that Amber made as well as fresh milk and eggs. Waking up to cows at our window was a bonus. Thank you again for a trip my son will never forget!!

Jim is a wonderful host and the campsite is just as advertised. Jim ensured all needs were met, had plenty of firewood at the campsite, and the RV with a flush toilet was clean and comfortable.
This campsite is easy to get to and very secluded. Many beautiful trees create great canopy and aesthetic. The site felt safe and comfortable and was able to enjoy my clothes free camp without worry or concern.
