Lots of hiking nearby, motorcycle track, drag strip and drift car track. Or just relax with the birds, deer, eagles, ducks, geese, rabbits, neighboring cows, beavers and otters that pass through now and then.

Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R&R, as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep the campground as a single site, larger groups are given preference. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm in a quaint community, there is something of interest for everyone.
In camp, you will find a rustic kitchen with a sink, three picnic tables, and a fire pit. Bring water containers for hand and dish washing - a five-gallon jug fits above the sink nicely for ease of use.
The resource area for campers is at the second gate. It has an electrical outlet, and it is safe to leave items charging here, as well as a water hose for filling up your containers. Bundled firewood, including kindling, are available for purchase as long as supplies last.
Birdsong comes early here, and crickets and frogs light up the evenings. There aren't any city lights, so stargazing is a real delight. We don't have goats anymore, but the chickens and ducks are lovely to watch, so take a moment and say hello to them.

15 minutes from Interstate 5. We are one hour from Mt Rainer and one hour and fifteen minutes from Mt Saint Helens. The camping area is an old christmas tree farm. We maintain two spots for camping. We have one porta-potty shared between campsites. Each campsite has one picnic table, fire-ring and access to a porta-potty. The area is quiet and secluded. Black-tailed Columbian deer are regular visitors, while the barn owls will serenade you in the evening. You will be able to see ALL the stars!
The road is suitable for small RVs, campervans, truck camping, small school buses, and cars (as long as the cars have some ground clearance). Not suitable for Class A RVs. It is an old logging road made of compacted rock. Cell service is spotty but it does work. Upload/download speeds might be slow.

We have a 1/2 acre property on the Cowlitz River in the middle of Cooks Ferry Park in Castle Rock WA. We bought the property to relax in a beautiful setting close to home. We only live 15 minutes away.
The property is made up of dredge spoils from when Mt. Saint Helens blew and is inside of a park where people can go to fish and enjoy the river. There are only 8 lots privately owned and we are the first lot that you come to.
There is plenty of room for an RV. Guests can also tent camp or stay in our shack that has a sleeper sofa. There are snacks, a sign in book, an axe, briquets, a fire extinguisher, and other items the shack. There is a picnic table, fire pit, BBQ, and wood stove. There is a porta potty on the property.
We value your privacy. We do have cameras on the property that are on when no one is there. Once a Hipcamper arrives at the property, they are turned off. We also keep our travel trailer there to enjoy when we can. We will never be there camping when you are there. In the summer, we sometimes kayak. We put in upriver and get out at the property. If it is booked at that time, we will always check first to see if it is okay for us to get out there.
If you continue going past our property, there are some nice rock beaches with pretty views. People fish there and wade in the water in the summer.
Castle Rock is a cute little town with some nice shops, restaurants and bars. I recommend checking it out!
We are not picky about check in/check out time. It would only matter if someone else was checking in the day you are checking out. Please ask if you expect to arrive earlier or want to check out later.

This campsite is right at the end of the paved county road with only 5 neighbors past it. Any vehicle can access it. There is parking for an RV and 2 vehicles.
Located about 10-15 minutes from Mayfield Lake. 20 minutes from Mossyrock. There are several nearby logging roads for exploring.
This site is very quiet except for a few cars that drive by each day.
There is a picnic table and fire pit with grill (except during burn bans, usually July-September). There is also some firewood available for use. Update: sorry but the fire pit is no longer available due to a guest burning car parts in it. But you are welcome to bring your own.
Site has full hookups: 50 amp (240v) electrical service (adapter available to 30 amp, 120v), sewer, and water (not tested for drinking). Please don't unplug the cord in the 20 amp plug. It is for a sewer pump. Thank you.

This property is currently in development. It offers tranquility, with occasional visits from deer. River access is just a short distance away, providing opportunities for fishing, sunbathing, or floating along the Cowlitz River. Just follow the pink flagging from our "Black Tail River Trail" sign at the south end of the grounds along the mowed path into the woods to the river. Approx 750' from the sign.
Conveniently located near the towns of Kelso and Longview, and only 2.7 miles from Castle Rock.
Two full hookups are available, two water/power sites, along with ample dry camping areas. We have a porta potty as well.
Horses are welcome on the property, as are leashed/penned and friendly pets. Dogs can be off leash at the river, but be courteous and aware of other dogs. Please clean up after your animals!
Cell phone coverage is good here, we do not have wifi available.
We offer firewood for sale (cash) and allow propane fire pits. We also have a community fire pit for our campers, called the Lave Pit, directly across from our dry camp area. We follow the Cowlitz County burn ban, July 15-Sept 30.
Motorized off-road vehicles are allowed ONLY for transport of gear to/from the river or for those with mobile disabilities. We ask that you are respectful of the trails and drive slowly.
Please note: we will no longer refund due to poor weather. Hipcamp offers insurance for this.

This is a beautiful and charming property to camp on! We loved the peaceful river and the shaded area along the creek. Our kids explored all over and invented magical land names for each part of the property. We had a serene campfire and even saw a pair of bald eagles across the river.
Note that the parking area requires significant leveling for RVs, and as others have noted, train and traffic noise may bother some campers (especially in tents). The property is quite close to the road, but there wasn’t a ton of traffic going by. We would happily camp here again, hopefully when it’s warm enough to swim!

We had a wonderful time on Tyler’s land! The hosts were very welcoming and always there to help . Tammy responded to messages super fast and Greg stopped by twice to make sure we had everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The campsite was quiet and beautiful, very well maintained. Our dogs had a blast exploring the trails and playing on the beach. We will definitely be back!

We had such a wonderful stay at Kearney Creek. Even though it rained a lot during our trip, it didn’t dampen our spirits at all—in fact, it made the whole experience feel even more cozy and magical. Booking the Spa Patio extra is an absolute must! We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the spa amenities, which were perfect for the rainy weather. We loved hearing the eagles up in their nest, spotting deer wandering nearby, and falling asleep to the sound of the creek. Our host was fantastic and accommodating, allowing us a late check-out so we could stretch out our relaxing weekend just a little bit longer in the sunshine. We cannot recommend this spot enough and can't wait to come back!

Words can’t fully describe how tranquil and serene this place was. When you arrive, you’ll come to a black gate with a code—take the first right and follow the white signs with red arrows. The first campsite is Site A, which is where I stayed.
This was easily one of the most beautiful campsites I’ve visited in a long time. The river was incredibly pure and crystal clear, with the most beautiful hint of green. Waking up to the sound of running water while watching eagles soar overhead made the experience feel so peaceful and unforgettable.
I truly can’t recommend this place enough—especially for my first visit. I will absolutely be back. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

We liked this spot a lot. It’s super private and the bathroom was honestly one of the cleanest we’ve had at a campsite.
A couple things to be aware of: there’s a huge ant hill on the property (around 2–3 feet tall), so just watch where you set up. We also had a large off leash dog wander into our site at one point, which wasn’t great since our Great Pyrenees is dog reactive. Not the host’s fault, but something other dog owners might want to know.
And just a heads‑up; the donkey across the road is pretty vocal. You’ll hear it throughout the day and later into the night/early morning.
Overall, it’s a solid, private place to stay with really clean amenities; just a few quirks depending on your setup.

Really great spot! Plenty of space for multiple tents. Perfect place to relax, fish, and just hang out at the water. Absolutely gorgeous views to wake up to.
It is right off the road, but the little hill makes it feel more secluded. You can definitely hear the train passing by, but it didn’t bother us.
The best part was listening to the creek and the frogs at bedtime.

The land was lovely, filled with trees, and the campsites were super private. Bathroom was clean. We could hear the road and the train but it wasn’t as loud as some of the reviews made us think. Our site was on a cliff above the river, so we didn’t spend much time there (though you can walk to a spot with river access). Site was a bit rustic but very spacious and Ed was a kind and helpful host.
