We had a wonderful stay at Edelgran!! Super easy to find even in the dark! The layout of the campsite is beautiful! We fit our car and 6 person tent there with ample space. There was a fire ban while we were there so we did not get to use the fire pit, but it looked very nice and the seating was nice to have! We used the large tree stumps as tables to play games on. The toilet was very well constructed and so much better than most camp toilet we have previously experienced. We enjoyed the walking path with our dog and loved looking at all the plants and trees on the path around the campsite. The stars were beautiful on a clear night! We loved seeing and hearing the animals who live nearby. Like in other reviews we heard sounds from the fairgrounds but it was never loud enough to bother us. Our stay here was wonderful and we highly recommend this Hipcamp!!

Edelgran Forest Camp
Edelgran Forest camp has to have been in my top ten most peaceful and beautiful sites I've ever been! Site is incredibly well maintained and having the sites story posted makes each little bit feel even more special from the handmade table even to the handmade out house (which by the way is one of the cleanest out houses I've experienced). The host wasn't kidding either about wildlife being in every corner, on their maintained trail we saw all sorts of birds and chipmunks and in the morning tons and tons of deer it was truly special! Site was easy to get to thanks to Johnathan instructions and I would 100% recommend this site to anyone and already can't wait to make our next trip to edelgran!

Jonathan was a very responsive and helpful host. The camp felt very private, despite being pretty close to the road. The outhouse was very clean and smelled of cedar. Great location for the underutilized South side of Mt. St. Helens. However, the camp was not quiet. Donkeys, roosters, neighbors chatting until 10:45pm, and the announcer for local roping competition starting at 8am disturbed sense of privacy. Overall a great location, and we enjoyed our stay, but wouldn’t recommend if you want quiet.

Me and my girlfriend had a lovely time here, A small driveway up to the sight with a nice clearing, along with a little walking trail around the property.
We camped in what ended up being the middle of a heat wave but the trees kept it much cooler than expected! Plus there are plenty of mountain roads and sights nearby if you're up for a nice drive. Lovely fire pit area and great outhouse set up, greatful we got to stay here! Thank you very much!

I really loved this site. It's just off the road so it's great for folks with mobility issues/health issues who want to get away but can't hike far.
You can pull right into the lovely, private, space & set your camp up without lugging anything.
There is a nice picnic table, fire pit, log seats and an actual old-timey wood outhouse (a one seater) that is clean & low odor due to the wood they used.
There is also a little trail that leads to a really long (miles) trail. My Frenchie & I could only manage a little ways but it's lovely!
It was easy to find, clear directions, very clean & well laid out.
2 things of note tho - 1.bring your bug spray (mosquitoes) 2. The Cowlitz gun range is close enough you can hear it echo thru the little valley. It didn't bother me or my pup but I have friends who would be very bothered (vets, specifically). Otherwise, I 💯 recommend this site.

The site is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. It is very quiet and extremely private. So much better than a public campground. The outhouse is adorable and it was nice to have a place ‘to go’. The host Jonathan is very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is the several very large piles of dog poop around the perimeter. (Possibly from a previous guest.) They were hard to pick up because they were in spiny bushes and vines and the flies around the piles were horrendous.
Other than that, this might be the best place I’ve ever pitched a tent. 🏕️

The hosts were super communicative, provided clear instruction and answered our questions promptly! We loved the campsite, it's very private and well maintained. The campsite is about 30 minutes to Mt. St. Helens learning center and Coldwater Lake! Highly recommend everyone to visit if they're in the area! The lake has shallow part that is kids friendly. The water is clear and refreshing. Many were kayaking/paddling there. We had one of the best camping trips over the weekend!
Note: You MUST bring bug spray. Wear long sleeves and pants if you can, the mosquitoes here is no joke. We learned the hard way.

The campsite is spacious and super private. We setup 3 tents with room for 2 SUVs and still had plenty of room for Frisbee games and the picnic table/fire ring area.
The outhouse was very clean, though a bit of a squeeze for larger bodies and taller folx.
We saw deer, horses, a donkey, birds, and rabbits. The little store at Toutle Rd was amazing, too. So many fresh fruits/veggies.
Great campsite. Perfect for a retreat with a small group (we had 5 and a dog).

Really awesome site! My dog and I had a really peaceful few days out here. Wind through the trees, rain on the tent, perfectly clean outhouse. The firepit and log seats are awesome. Cute little short trail attached to the site. Would absolutely love to stay here again!

That outhouse may just be the nicest outhouse I've ever been in lol. The camp was easy to find and so quiet. We watched the stars and had a romantic couple of nights without kids. It was a good time, a good price, and a great site.

Look for the metal cable gating the entrance between the two addresses mentioned in the directions. The ground at the tent site is mostly soft moss . Plenty of space for tenting. Bring waders in case the trails puddle up. Peaceful site in the rain. Outhouse 5 ⭐️ If you need essentials there is a gas station up the road called R & D Liquor Store.

Gotta say I was not believing the comments about how nice the computing outhouse is, but for real it's immaculate and smells like a cedar spa hahah! Secluded spot. Clean outhouse and area. Ground was a bit un-level due to ruts from rain and people driving but nothing major and could be fixed in the fall or spring after the season is over. Donkey and roosters in the background was great. We stayed for 3 days and explored Mt. St. Helens area.

Great price, location, and non smelly clean outhouse. Occasional loud noise from neighbors driving by at night but for the most part pretty quiet. Horses and donkey sounds in the morning, which was fun. Decent amount of room for 2 cars and 3 tents. We loved that we were by ourselves. Definitely stay again!

Camping here was great. We were able to park two vehicles, had two tents, and still had plenty of room. The outhouse was fantastic and very clean. I would definitely recommend bringing an extra roll of TP to be safe. The view of the night sky was amazing as well! The stars were so visible and our second night I think we even caught some glimpse of the Northern Lights! Although we did not use the fire pit it was very nice and thoughtfully built. The host was quick to reply to messages and gave us our space while enjoying the campsite. The hiking trail was a great addition.
Do not forget your bug spray while camping here!

It's a really nice secluded spot. We were looking for a hipcamp with privacy and calm. Just for a weekend of eating, napping, reading etc. The outhouse is like brand new and clean. Could be a little clearer for using the combination lock. A little noisy from the raceway nearby, but quiet at night

This was an awesome space! Private little clearing in the woods with our own private driveway and bathroom. The bathroom is a nice cedar outhouse that is so clean. (One roll of TP provided so bring more if you’re needing it.) The fire pit was nice and they left us a good size stack of firewood which was much appreciated. We took our kayaks to Silver Lake about 6 miles down the road and launched off the public dock. Then we brought our stuff back and went to the Harry Gardener park, brought a picnic and swam at the river all day. I can’t wait to book this place again!

A charming campsite nestled in a small meadow with wild flowers that exceeded my expectations. The site featured a spotless composting toilet, ensuring a comfortable and eco-friendly experience. A beautiful short trail connected to the camp site provided a perfect escape into nature, offering scenic views and a peaceful ambiance. The highlight was the wonderful fire pit, which made evenings cozy and enjoyable. Adding to the adventure, we even spotted a coyote during our stay. Located in a secluded neighborhood with large plots of land, the campsite offered great privacy. While there were minor sounds from the occasional tires going down a driveway (which actually comforted my city girl tendencies), it generally felt like we were in the middle of the forest (b/c we were 🙂). This campsite is ideal for anyone seeking a serene and well-maintained outdoor retreat.

We enjoyed 2 nights tent camping here. Much more private than camping at one of the parks nearby, and super clean outhouse. Close to Mt St Helens, and the nature walk right off the campsite is beautiful.

Campsite was perfect for us and our timid dog. It felt secluded with plenty of firewood provided, a nice picnic table and composting toilet. Every now and then we would hear a neighbor's dogs or horses, but none ever came by the site. I believe the only time we saw anyone was when we accidently went down Jonathan's driveway versus the one leading to the campsite. The 1/2 mile trail was a nice path to take our dog out on, well maintained. We didn't venture out into the area, but would definitely book again especially as a base camp to explore around Mt. St. Helens.

the campsite was sooo pretty. great location with a cute outhouse and trails with deer in and out of the site. only complaint is that we kept hearing gunshots that sounded closer and closer to the site, but if you’re not bothered by some noise i would recommend :)

The most peaceful one might getaway. It was like a mystical fall wonderland. We loved having a 1/2 mile trail to walk the dogs and the outhouse was a great touch. Deer graced our presence while walking the trail. It is so kind to provide the firewood. We wished we had booked more than one night!
