Edelgran (Fir) Forest Camp is a serene campsite situated on 20 acres of private property, just 35 miles away from Mount St. Helens Volcanic National Monument. Our spacious campsite offers a tranquil environment surrounded by beautiful fir trees. You can take a leisurely stroll along our 1/2 mile walking trail, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the property. Unwind and gather around the fire pit to enjoy cozy evenings under the starry sky. A picnic table is available for you to savor meals amidst the peaceful surroundings. For your convenience, we provide an outhouse facility on-site. While you're here, keep an eye out for the chance to spot deer roaming in the area, adding to the charm of your camping experience. At Edelgran Forest Camp, we aim to provide a serene and enjoyable setting for you to connect with nature. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, our campsite offers the perfect escape. Disclaimer: We do have surrounding neighbors with horses and other livestock (these are not ours), we just ask that you do not feed, touch or go near them. And because this is a residential country area, you may hear music, animals, etc in the morning and evening hours. Please make sure everyone in your party is aware before check in. Also, our site is spacious but we have a 2 car maximum due to the length of the driveway leading to the camp site. If you are camping in a camper or van, please let us know before booking as the site can be very wet in certain months and pulling into the grass can lead to damage at the site. We ask that if you pack it in, pack it out! Take your trash with you and please be respectful to our land and neighbors. While this is a private campsite, this is a residential neighborhood. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Exercise extreme caution with campfires!

We loved staying at Edelgran! It felt very private, had everything we needed, and was very kid friendly. We enjoyed walking on the path around the property, the composting toilet worked great, and the campsite is spacious and well maintained. It’s in a great location for exploring Mt. Saint Helens attractions. A little noise from the neighbors, but it didn’t bother us. Definitely would stay here again if we come back to this area!

Great camping spot that’s offers privacy without being too secluded. If you like having a campfire purchasing the wood bundle through them is so convenient, and a great deal compared to what you would grab from the store. Absolutely would come back.

The perfect spot for a weekend getaway with the fam to explore trails around Mount St. Helens. Site is well maintained and although there are homes nearby, it feels very secluded. Would stay here again!

We liked this spot a lot. It’s super private and the bathroom was honestly one of the cleanest we’ve had at a campsite. A couple things to be aware of: there’s a huge ant hill on the property (around 2–3 feet tall), so just watch where you set up. We also had a large off leash dog wander into our site at one point, which wasn’t great since our Great Pyrenees is dog reactive. Not the host’s fault, but something other dog owners might want to know. And just a heads‑up; the donkey across the road is pretty vocal. You’ll hear it throughout the day and later into the night/early morning. Overall, it’s a solid, private place to stay with really clean amenities; just a few quirks depending on your setup.

My partner and I had an amazing time tent camping at this beautiful little spot. While it's close to the road, there's not much traffic and it still feels very private. We could only hear the neighbors on a couple quick occasions, and otherwise it very much felt like being alone in nature. The site is well appointed with the handmade picnic table, outhouse and multifunctional stumps. Jonathan's instructions and communication were excellent and very helpful. Would absolutely love to get away here again.

Great camping spot for our group of (3) adults but could see this as an ideal spot for a couple. You’re close enough to civilization in case of an emergency but far enough to feel private aside from the occasional distant dog bark or donkey bray. Having a picturesque walking trail built-in was fantastic and offered a good opportunity to exercise and soak in some afternoon sun to warm during a very cold weekend.

We had a wonderful stay at Edelgran!! Super easy to find even in the dark! The layout of the campsite is beautiful! We fit our car and 6 person tent there with ample space. There was a fire ban while we were there so we did not get to use the fire pit, but it looked very nice and the seating was nice to have! We used the large tree stumps as tables to play games on. The toilet was very well constructed and so much better than most camp toilet we have previously experienced. We enjoyed the walking path with our dog and loved looking at all the plants and trees on the path around the campsite. The stars were beautiful on a clear night! We loved seeing and hearing the animals who live nearby. Like in other reviews we heard sounds from the fairgrounds but it was never loud enough to bother us. Our stay here was wonderful and we highly recommend this Hipcamp!!

Edelgran Forest camp has to have been in my top ten most peaceful and beautiful sites I've ever been! Site is incredibly well maintained and having the sites story posted makes each little bit feel even more special from the handmade table even to the handmade out house (which by the way is one of the cleanest out houses I've experienced). The host wasn't kidding either about wildlife being in every corner, on their maintained trail we saw all sorts of birds and chipmunks and in the morning tons and tons of deer it was truly special! Site was easy to get to thanks to Johnathan instructions and I would 100% recommend this site to anyone and already can't wait to make our next trip to edelgran!

Jonathan was a very responsive and helpful host. The camp felt very private, despite being pretty close to the road. The outhouse was very clean and smelled of cedar. Great location for the underutilized South side of Mt. St. Helens. However, the camp was not quiet. Donkeys, roosters, neighbors chatting until 10:45pm, and the announcer for local roping competition starting at 8am disturbed sense of privacy. Overall a great location, and we enjoyed our stay, but wouldn’t recommend if you want quiet.

Me and my girlfriend had a lovely time here, A small driveway up to the sight with a nice clearing, along with a little walking trail around the property. We camped in what ended up being the middle of a heat wave but the trees kept it much cooler than expected! Plus there are plenty of mountain roads and sights nearby if you're up for a nice drive. Lovely fire pit area and great outhouse set up, greatful we got to stay here! Thank you very much!

I really loved this site. It's just off the road so it's great for folks with mobility issues/health issues who want to get away but can't hike far. You can pull right into the lovely, private, space & set your camp up without lugging anything. There is a nice picnic table, fire pit, log seats and an actual old-timey wood outhouse (a one seater) that is clean & low odor due to the wood they used. There is also a little trail that leads to a really long (miles) trail. My Frenchie & I could only manage a little ways but it's lovely! It was easy to find, clear directions, very clean & well laid out. 2 things of note tho - 1.bring your bug spray (mosquitoes) 2. The Cowlitz gun range is close enough you can hear it echo thru the little valley. It didn't bother me or my pup but I have friends who would be very bothered (vets, specifically). Otherwise, I 💯 recommend this site.

The site is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. It is very quiet and extremely private. So much better than a public campground. The outhouse is adorable and it was nice to have a place ‘to go’. The host Jonathan is very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the several very large piles of dog poop around the perimeter. (Possibly from a previous guest.) They were hard to pick up because they were in spiny bushes and vines and the flies around the piles were horrendous. Other than that, this might be the best place I’ve ever pitched a tent. 🏕️

The hosts were super communicative, provided clear instruction and answered our questions promptly! We loved the campsite, it's very private and well maintained. The campsite is about 30 minutes to Mt. St. Helens learning center and Coldwater Lake! Highly recommend everyone to visit if they're in the area! The lake has shallow part that is kids friendly. The water is clear and refreshing. Many were kayaking/paddling there. We had one of the best camping trips over the weekend! Note: You MUST bring bug spray. Wear long sleeves and pants if you can, the mosquitoes here is no joke. We learned the hard way.

The campsite is spacious and super private. We setup 3 tents with room for 2 SUVs and still had plenty of room for Frisbee games and the picnic table/fire ring area. The outhouse was very clean, though a bit of a squeeze for larger bodies and taller folx. We saw deer, horses, a donkey, birds, and rabbits. The little store at Toutle Rd was amazing, too. So many fresh fruits/veggies. Great campsite. Perfect for a retreat with a small group (we had 5 and a dog).

Really awesome site! My dog and I had a really peaceful few days out here. Wind through the trees, rain on the tent, perfectly clean outhouse. The firepit and log seats are awesome. Cute little short trail attached to the site. Would absolutely love to stay here again!

That outhouse may just be the nicest outhouse I've ever been in lol. The camp was easy to find and so quiet. We watched the stars and had a romantic couple of nights without kids. It was a good time, a good price, and a great site.

Look for the metal cable gating the entrance between the two addresses mentioned in the directions. The ground at the tent site is mostly soft moss . Plenty of space for tenting. Bring waders in case the trails puddle up. Peaceful site in the rain. Outhouse 5 ⭐️ If you need essentials there is a gas station up the road called R & D Liquor Store.

Lovely little private camp site we enjoyed in our camper van two nights while exploring the Mt. St. Helen's area. Gotta say I was not believing the comments about how nice the computing outhouse is, but for real it's immaculate and smells like a cedar spa hahah! The loop trail on the property is a nice trek through meadows, forests and field,

Secluded spot. Clean outhouse and area. Ground was a bit un-level due to ruts from rain and people driving but nothing major and could be fixed in the fall or spring after the season is over. Donkey and roosters in the background was great. We stayed for 3 days and explored Mt. St. Helens area.

Great price, location, and non smelly clean outhouse. Occasional loud noise from neighbors driving by at night but for the most part pretty quiet. Horses and donkey sounds in the morning, which was fun. Decent amount of room for 2 cars and 3 tents. We loved that we were by ourselves. Definitely stay again!

Camping here was great. We were able to park two vehicles, had two tents, and still had plenty of room. The outhouse was fantastic and very clean. I would definitely recommend bringing an extra roll of TP to be safe. The view of the night sky was amazing as well! The stars were so visible and our second night I think we even caught some glimpse of the Northern Lights! Although we did not use the fire pit it was very nice and thoughtfully built. The host was quick to reply to messages and gave us our space while enjoying the campsite. The hiking trail was a great addition. Do not forget your bug spray while camping here!

It's a really nice secluded spot. We were looking for a hipcamp with privacy and calm. Just for a weekend of eating, napping, reading etc. The outhouse is like brand new and clean. Could be a little clearer for using the combination lock. A little noisy from the raceway nearby, but quiet at night
