Camping at Ross Lake gives new meaning to “getting off the grid”. Tucked deep in the North Cascades of Washington, this reservoir isn’t accessible by car (on the U.S. side, anyway). You can hike in —or, paddle from Diablo Lake up Riprap Creek and portage your boat overland to Ross Lake.

It takes some effort to get in, but the work is well worth the reward. Wake up to views of snow-capped summits at your lakeside campsite. Fish from the shore, or paddle out into the brilliant blue water.

Bring your outdoor spirit and we will provide the scenery. The area is noted for the large population of bald eagles so bring binoculars because there is almost always something to see on the river. Waders are recommended if fishing at our site. Water depth can very greatly depending on time of year. The Skagit River along with Baker Lake and Shannon Lake (just to the north) are great places for fishing so check the WDFW guide to see what is open. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Dispersed camping in "The Field" can be booked through HipCamp, all other sites within the campground must be booked through our direct website. Please note the following about The Field: The Field is exactly that - a large, open, grassy field. There are no shade trees so it is recommended that you bring your own shade, if you desire any. The Field does not have any lighting - it is recommended that you do not arrive after dark. The Silverline Resort is a no generator park, however we do allow generators to be used in The Field, but they must be turned off during quiet hours (10pm - 8am). All external noise devices must also be turned off during these hours. Fires are allowed until Washington State or Okanogan County issue their annual summer burn ban. It is a different date each season, feel free to email the day before your stay to check if one has been issued for your dates. Please book 1 site per tent or trailer. If you have more than one tent or trailer please book additional sites. These sites are dispersed and are first come first served. Assigned tent/RV sites within our campground must be booked through our direct website - they can not be booked through HipCamp. Each site can accommodate up to 4 adults in the same tent/trailer, and up to 4 children in the same tent/trailer. Additional adults or tents/trailers need to book an additional site. There is a port-a-potty located in the field, the bathhouse and showers are located inside the campground. Our showers are quarter operated with a cost of $1.50/five minutes. Please plan ahead and bring quarters or stop by our store before we close and we can make change for you. Our resort has a well-stocked general store where you can pick up camping essentials, including fishing tackle and supplies, RV supplies, soda and snacks, firewood, and ice. After picking up supplies, you can enjoy a family picnic at one of our large grass common areas. If you'd prefer someone else do you cooking, stop by the Wagon Wheel Kitchen, our onsite restaurant offering unlimited pancakes most Saturday and Sunday mornings. If you want to get out on the lake but don't have a boat, we offer a wide variety of watercraft for rent. This is a beautiful little piece of heaven located not far from amenities but far enough to feel like a great getaway from the hustle and bustle. While staying here you can enjoy an afternoon fishing or just enjoying the sound of water and the outdoors on the beach of the private river access. You'll be very near great hiking and backpacking trails. In the spring and summer you can enjoy fishing, hiking, boating, backpacking, and much more. We had an awesome stay at Zach’s! Epic location. No problems plugging in my Tesla for some car camping before hiking to see the larches on Heather Maple Pass! We walked to the tavern down the road for dinner and met a cool local girl and made friends with the bartender Lori! The shower was such a nice treat after a long hike. Bathrooms were clean and the area was quiet. Trash cans available on site. Would highly recommend this spot!

40 miles NW of the camp site is Baker Lake and it's excellent for kayaking, swimming and boating.

Big campsite with great views and lots of tables and fire pits. I was under the impression it was just a big field that was a free for all, but it was in fact an actual campground with all the things you need. We camped here for a night after all the first come first serve campsites near Maple Loop Trail were taken up. It was about 45 min away. I would love to come back in summer and actually hang in the lake and stay at the campsite longer to explore the area.

Adam & Kira’s land is a slice of heaven and a fisherman’s paradise! The site itself is set up to be very comfortable and accommodating with plenty of space to stretch out and relax. There was great fishing on the river a few steps away from camp and a nice sandy beach around the bend where our dog loved running around and swimming. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets while grilling up some fresh caught fish and the view of Mt. Baker was incredible! We stayed 3 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. We felt very safe in the area and you can tell there’s a lot of love and good times that have been had there. We hope to return soon - thanks Adam & Kira for sharing your land!

3 nights at Cascade River Retreat

We had the whole place to our place during our stay which was fantastic! Host was great to give us privacy. Awesome base-camp for North Cascade adventures. My pup and I enjoyed the river, easily spent our time there after our hikes. We had a visit from an offleash husky on 2nd day morning (not sure if it’s the owners). He was quite friendly and got along with my pup well (something to keep in mind if your dog does well with other dog). 3rd day- he came back early morning-we were still asleep, but saw peeping his head through the mesh opening. Again, we didn’t mind-but he also urinated on all corners of our tent-which left us with heavy urine smell-I did manage to wash it off afterwards, but smell did linger on our tent. Other than that incident-place was quiet & peaceful (again we were the only one there). Site 7 is the most private, 8-10 is next 1-6 is more open.

Really nice. Secluded/private, nice riverbed to explore, awesome view and the constant sound of the river to fall asleep to is top notch. Solar lights add a nice touch but the hot tub took the cake. As advertised, plenty of cookware provided, gas AND charcoal plus fire pit. You don't need to bring a tent or kitchen. This is glamping!
