We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey.
The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups!
Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi.
About the campground:
The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins.
There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊
The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

Or, just sit back and relax in tranquility, as the property sits at the end of a cul de sac just before entering national forest land. Be sure to leash your pets and keep a good eye, as there are wildcats, coyotes, and bears in the area.

Pull your RV or trailer onto this lot and take in the beautiful southwestern view of Mt. Jupiter ridge and a peek-a-boo view of the Dosewallips River! Listen closely, and you will hear the sounds of the river below. The lot is equipped with power and water hookups! Please be aware the water hookup is near the main gate entrance and the power is about 40 feet apart, so you may need a long hose (see pic). Enjoy the view from the large deck, firepit, or picnic table overlooking the river, valley, and mountains. This lot is truly a little slice of heaven!
Within a few minutes, find yourself at Rocky Brook falls (see pics) for a spectacular view and even a swim if you so please! Pleasant Harbor Marina (also shown in pics) also within 10 minutes! You will also find many hiking trails and parks nearby! There is weak cell service on the lot, so you may or may not be able to connect. I get 1-2 bars with Sprint.
While this property is not very far off the Dosewallips road (35 mph), it is generally very quiet and peaceful. You may hear cars and motorcycles from time to time, but very faintly. The lot is at about 350 ft. elevation, so you may get noise traveling up the valley from the residential community below (to which I belong), such as dogs, people using chainsaws, etc. There is hunting allowed in the national forest, so you could potentially hear guns in the distance during the day, but that is rare.
There are a few close neighbors, so please be respectful and quiet, especially in the evening. Please bring your own firewood when campfires are allowed and please do not forage for firewood on or around the property. Lastly, while the sightings have been few and rare, the neighbors have seen bears, cougars, coyotes, and bobcats near their homes and this property. So keep an eye on your children and pets, especially if off-leash (your pet of course!) The property also slopes a bit where the deck starts, so again, keep a close eye on the kiddos. You have a very good chance of seeing the local Roosevelt Elk that travel in huge herds around Brinnon (See pics). They sometimes lay down and hang out on the grass on the property! Make sure your pets have their flea and tick updates!

Welcome to our little slice of the Pacific Northwest! Nestled on 30 acres of lush rainforest, our property is a place we’ve fallen deeply in love with, and we’re excited to begin sharing it with others who appreciate nature as much as we do.
A beautiful river winds its way through the property, creating what we think is the best swimming hole around—a perfect place to cool off on a warm summer day, relax by the water, or simply enjoy the peaceful sounds of the forest.
Our campsites are intentionally simple. This is basic tent camping designed for people who want to unplug and experience nature, not a crowded campground filled with pavement and perfectly level pads. We created each campsite by working with the land instead of against it. Rather than clearing large areas or removing healthy trees, each site follows the natural topography of the forest. Because of that, every campsite is unique in its size, shape, and character.
We’re also at the very beginning of an exciting journey. This property is a labor of love, and it’s constantly evolving. You’ll likely see us working on new projects during your stay as we continue to improve the land and add thoughtful amenities over time. Our dream is to eventually build treehouses, cabins, and other unique places to stay while preserving the natural beauty that makes this property so special.
By staying with us now, you’re becoming part of that journey. We appreciate your patience as we continue to grow, and we hope you’ll return over the years to see how this little campground evolves.
While we do offer glamping sites that are quite special, and allow people to pick up and come here without the need to bring any gear at all, if you’re looking for luxury camping, we may not be the right fit… yet, as we have great plans in the works. But if you’re looking for towering evergreens, fresh mountain air, a crystal-clear river, peaceful nights under the stars, and a place that feels wild, authentic, and full of possibility—we’d love to welcome you.
We currently offer 22 tent camping sites ranging in sizes small, medium and large, and 4 glamping sites that are all first come, first serve within each size level.
Please note that our property is currently 18+ only. Because the campground is still a developing, natural property with uneven terrain, river access, ongoing projects, and limited infrastructure, we are not set up to safely accommodate children at this time. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope to expand our options in the future as the property continues to grow and evolve.

We have noticed an influx of owners that do not let us know and show up with dogs as we need to go over additional information. There is no additional fee but since we have livestock roaming freely around the property, to ensure their safety, long leads are highly encouraged especially if dogs do not have exceptional training and recall. AMENITIES/THINGS TO DO:
-There is a communal bunkhouse on property available to guests with a flushable toilet and a hot water shower. It also includes a kitchenette and we welcome you to use any of the kitchen/cookware and appliances. Our 2 Frenchies also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them!
-There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on.
-You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast.
-Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending from Enumclaw to Puyallup.
-Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. We have a moveable metal one which we can transport to your camp spot if preferred. We sell a large milkcrate full of wood for $10 if needed.

Island Transit bus stop right across the street (dial a ride) and biking/hiking trails surrounding the site in case you’d rather not drive.
Aside from its natural beauty and beaches, the island has many great restaurants, farms and wineries to enjoy while visiting.

The Sauna:
A traditional outdoor 8' x 8' electric steam/dry sauna is available for guests to enjoy, along with an outdoor shower and two outdoor tubs (hot and cold). The sauna is a new high quality bespoke build with room for a couple people to fully stretch out, or for six or so people to sit comfortably. It features a Finnish Iki heater with seven boxes of rocks that delivers deep heat. Five adjustable air vents and the ability to control the heater provide precise heat, good air flow, and an exceptional user experience.
Thermometer, hygrometer, sand timers, essential oils, mood lighting, and spa towels are provided.
The Waters:
We offer a complete thermal circuit to complement the camping and sauna experience with contrast therapy.
The outdoor shower has hot and cold water and great pressure!
The two outdoor tubs can be filled hot or cold and each fit two people comfortably. Also, they are deep enough to cold plunge in.
Relax, unwind, socialize, and restore:
Guests also have access to a communal use pavilion with large farm table and benches, fire pit, sundeck, and garden area with lounge furniture and hammock stand for a relaxing getaway.
Enjoy our outdoor wellness retreat with private forest camping in a peaceful field surrounded by native landscape. There are three short walk-in campsites for tents, and one site (Cedar Camp) for car camping, or teardrop campers. The property is not suitable for large RVs. Relax in a quiet setting with minimal road noise all while being in a great location only a short drive to Gig Harbor (one of the best small towns in Washington).
The property is home to plenty of birds and deer, and you may even spot an owl during your stay.
Located just minutes from Gig Harbor and Puget Sound, this is a great base for beach days, kayaking on Olalla Bay, or exploring the charming waterfront community of Gig Harbor.
The property offers easy access from Highway 16 and is about 45 minutes from the Hood Canal Bridge, making it a convenient stop on your way to or from the Olympic Peninsula.
Tacoma is just a 30-minute drive away, and Seattle is easily reached by driving or by taking the ferry from Southworth to downtown Seattle or West Seattle. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) is approximately a 40-minute drive away.

There is a 3/4 mile trail walk on the outer parameter of the property. Please enjoy and pick up after your pets. Please keep on leash at all times.
If you need any forgotten items or snacks we may have it stocked in our “vending fridge” at the farm stand. Venmo and cash box.

I have really enjoyed staying here! The hosts are a really wonderful family who work really hard to keep everything running at the site. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and their diligence to keep it so is above and beyond. They seem to be available much more than their hours suggest. They are regularly dealing with camper issues during off hours. Very kind and thoughtful people. Jefferson county fairgrounds really lucked out! And consequently so did I! Thank you Zoe and Robert!

Nice quiet spot to kick back. Close to town. Nice to have full hookups and the bathrooms were kept pretty clean (ecxcept for the very outdated showers.) It was rainy, so we didn’t get to meet the hosts; maybe next time.

I loved staying at Jefferson Co. Fairgrounds. The camp hosts were wonderful! The bathrooms were clean and overall the campground was quiet. There were a few people leaving early in the morning so there was a little noise but very quiet and peaceful at night. Great trails nearby and close to downtown! Would definitely stay again!

A great, simple little spot. My only "complaint" is that I wish the ground was a little bit more level and some sort of signage on the road because you can easily miss your turn. If you have an RV, skoolie, bus, you should bring some leveling blocks. It's not anything too crazy, but it would definitely help. Vans or tent camping, you should be fine. I will be using this place often!

This is a big field at the county fairgrounds, land was pretty level. Electrical worked great as did the water. It had a pretty territorial view of the mountains and was very quiet. A great stop.

15 ft pop-up camper
Only one site. Nice to enjoy the beauty, trees, stream and owl. Didn’t see hosts, few cars drove by, we waved assuming it was the host. No sign or last name on mailbox, glad we did not arrive in the dark. We called and the wife soon called back to phone guide us in. We have front wheel drive ford escape pulling 12’ pop up. Little Leary of field as it rained night before, we pulled up the small hill, didn’t stop or slow down, made big U-turn to be heading out in case of predicted light rain. PLENTY of room for any size trailer. No amenities. Water across road , used our pail to fill our small water holding tank.

Site and campground were decent. Sites have some pretty uneven ground so I would recommend bringimg some blocks to level out your vehicle or trailer. Bathrooms were relatively clean and didnt smell. Had a little bit of an issue with the campground being overbooked and shuffling people around to different sites. Just some miscommunication.

Bathrooms are surprisingly clean. Campground host is friendly to all and seemingly available if you need to ask a question. I normally wouldn't choose to camp in a fairgrounds, but this was in a nice location and well kept to where I would gladly return for a stay if travelling to this area again. The roads to and from the fairgrounds are bike-friendly (but hilly) and very pleasant to ride if you are wanting to travel down to the waterfront. Port Townsend is a great place!
