Our property is off of the beaten path on the outskirts of the delightful town of Belfair in Mason county. The neighborhood is low key and very "country life" oriented. Within a twelve mile radius of our property you will find the following: Belfair State Park Lake Devereux (great kayaking lake with excellent fishing) Twanoh State Park (clams and oyster beds) Mason Lake Benson Lake Allyn Waterfront (2 Margaritas - great Mexican food restaurant in Allyn) Hood Canal The distances from our driveway to the various communities in our area are as follows: Belfair - 10 miles or a 15 minute drive Bremerton - 13 miles or a 20 minute drive Shelton - 19 miles or a 26 minute drive Tacoma - 46 miles or a 60 minute drive Olympia - 41 miles or a 52 minute drive Belfair has two grocery stores, a handful of gas stations, wonderful restaurants and interesting shops. It's a relaxing drive to our place from downtown Belfair right along the beautiful Hood Canal. We are tucked away in a back neighborhood 379 feet above sea level. Very peaceful and quiet! You must have a fully self-contained RV to stay at our property as there are no public bathroom or shower facilities available. So come on out and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. We are here for you should you need a safe, quiet place to park for however long it takes to get your inner peace back. We truly look forward to hearing from you!

Can feel remote, it does get quite often, but on a dead air day, you"ll hear every little noise that humans with cars, dirt bikes, guns, planes, boats, sometimes dogs and/or people yapping, birds yelling. Other days just wind blown tree white noise. 🏕 Site Overview: (See the site map in photos) Valley Ridge Lookout – Largest, the upper site, w/TeePee, big views, outdoor sink; cold shower, with outhouse nearby. West Perch – Smaller site with water and power, tucked along the western edge, pull through parking. Closed for season/construction on going. Side Step – Message only/ I gotta move some shit out the way if you really want this flat dirt hill slot. Gully Vista – A hike-in, tent/hammock site, via a narrow trail down into the gully. Seen most guests tent camp or bring vans. If your trailering, and the trailer weighs more than your 2WD tow vehicle, this place isn’t the best match. ✅ What Makes This Place Special: Big night south skies—great for moon/stargazing. Backs up to 150+ acres of state timberlans. Hunters: check regulations. The new cut link trail connects the camp to the Howell Lake trail. Tight trails at first then opens up. We’ve got firewood— not perfectly dry but it burns. kindling needed in wet seasons. Trash-free land. Please keep it clean, you're welcome to burn paper products and I encourage you to buy more of them and please pack other waste out with you. ⚠️ A Few Notes: Steep drops —stay alert, especially at night. 1-mile dirt driveway is bumpy—take it slow. New 2022 Well, Fresh water, but I can't legally recommend drinking it since it is still a temporary water setup. Can fill tanks directly from the well if asked. You'll want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but I think that was the only things I noticed I'd want. They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. The place has been farmland since about 1926. It became a family horse property with three pastures and now is a small lavender and blackberry farm. While it is limited to two RV sites, there may be farm visitors walking around the area. Tall cedars and fir remain in the back of the property and provide for a forest experience. It is not a commercial campground. We are now turning it into a small lavender farm. About half of the original pasture is now covered in black ground mat and 3,000 newly planted lavender. Learn more about this land: One acre pasture for dry RV camping (no restroom facilities). There is a potable water/hose bib and an auxilliary 110 volt 15 amp AC connection via extension cord from barn. You should rely primarily on your own power. Walking trails are in cedar trees and on hill across 10 acres with flower fields and blackberry "farm". Free blackberry picking in season (August and Early September). Deer, racoons, foxes, bald eagles and occassional coyote on site. Keep food and trash secure. No toilet or sewer available. There is one portable "porta potty" type facility. Dry camping only, no camp fires allowed due to fire conditions. Pack out own trash/garbage. No Pets allowed. Only visible neighbors are three horses on neigboring 10 acre farm property. There is Wi-Fi. Beach access has been closed.

Please note, this is HASRSTINE ISLAND, NOT HERRON. I haven't gotten Hipcamp to fix this yet. There is a bridge to the island and the coordinates offered for site are correct. Also no bathroom set up at this time. Beautiful peaceful forest with trails, a great spot for elopements (elopement package separate) and a beautiful meadow with a small ringed fire pit for one site and a movable fir pit for another.. Maximum 2 sites in 5 acres. 70% of the Island is forestry but sound DOES carry a long way so it's not dead-quiet. Harstine Island has a BRIDGE, no ferry! One hammock is left up in the forest and there are places for your hammocks to be hung, as well. There is one spot on drive that is between two trees so you need to go slowly and be careful, 9 foot wide at wheel base only. Please take note of this. Easy for cars, a bit tricky for some trailer/RVs. Photo and video can be seen on webpage. Types of wildlife include barred owls, a nighthawk usually in summer can be seen at dusk, western alligator lizards, warblers, robins, crows, wrens, a bear has visited before (lucky me heard it 'woof' at me, bear didn't appreciate my singing), deer, others have seen red fox in the past but we have not been so lucky. Birder's paradise. one lovely review calls it a great place for forest bathing! Puget sound is SO clean here with a diverse salt water life. Orca and Humpback have been spotted nearby. You can track them at Orca Network or Puget Sound Whale Sightings on Facebook. Both '22 and '23 have seen orca making rounds with the incoming tide going under the bridge and circling the island! There is Jarrell Cove state park and a boat ramp at Latimer's Landing Boat Launch few miles way. There is a great local market at the community center Saturdays from 10-12 in the summer. No water view, this is heavy forest off a gravel drive into privacy. No power, no water, pack it in pack it out. Please be careful of deer when you are driving in and observe island speed limits. Familiarize yourself with the personal fire extinguisher at the site.

Beautiful spot!! Quiet/quaint and easy to get to. Loved access to fresh oysters and how pleasant our host was. We had firewood available and ready when it was needed. Beautiful walk down to the canal.

10/10! We had an amazing time camping at site #3. The area was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. It’s only about a 15-minute walk to the water, where you can collect shells, oysters, etc. Jim was a fantastic host. He provided us with firewood and even stopped by to check on us and see if we needed more. On top of that, there were fresh oysters for sale during our stay. I think we ended up eating around five dozen or so over the course of our stay there. We would absolutely come back!

Site #2 sits directly adjacent to Site #1 and their border is delineated by the cedar fence on the left. Site #3, on the right of Site #2 is not open for reservations.

Weekend Trip to Hood Canal Oyster Farm | Lilliwaup

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Jim's Hood Canal Oyster Farm. We originally booked site #2 but Jim contacted us prior to our arrival and invited us to stay at site #1 which became available. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. All three sites are very well kept, peaceful, and private. The hookups worked perfectly, and our 21' class C RV had no issues with the short steep climb to the site. Site #1 is the largest and we loved the herb garden and table. I did notice that site #3 is more private and would have fit our RV with no issues. We hope to be back soon. We can't thank Jim enough for the absolutely delicious oysters from his farm.

This was our second time at this campsite in Lilliwaup! The location is great, it was quiet, the campsite & porta-potty were clean, and Jim was a great host. Since it was a wet weekend, he brought dry kindling to our site and made sure we were all set for the evening. We'll be back again!

We loved our weekend getaway! What a beautiful place. Lovely riverfront campsite with well maintained grounds. Good WiFi. We had such a good time. Even though the weather wasn’t super warm, we still splashed around in the river and enjoyed hammock time! Highly recommend!

We chose this spot for our very first camping trip with our 1955 trailer - and it was beautiful! Private (though we had family at the next door spot - which worked perfectly!). Loved all the cute seating spots the owner set up throughout the property. The river was fabulous and we even took out the tubes (a bit cold on a 70 degree day, but so much fun!). 🤩

The view and sounds of the river on this campsite were even better than we expected! It was clean, well-manicured and softly lit at night if you turn on the string lights above the site. It is pretty private, with just one set of neighbors who were also quiet. The river access is tricky from this site, and only for those who are very able to navigate a steep climb.

Site #3 was perfect for our first time camping using our sleeping platform in the back of our Forester with a Kelty caboose. There was plenty of space! There was a big wooden spool we could use as a table. Although we didn’t tent camp in the additional open clearing, we did sit there to enjoy our coffee the next morning. It was very quiet except for the chipping of birds and sound of a nearby stream. The porta potty was very clean! Jim was very responsive. We will definitely be back.
