I am going to be in early this year because of the lack of snow. I am going in March 22nd. I have taken the block off of the Gers and the camp sites.
8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers.
The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26.
Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now.
I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts.
Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice?
No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ.
What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”.
Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen.
I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven.
Then there is the silence.

'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene.
All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock.
Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask!
UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024.
The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry.
Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower.
There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos.
The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away.

Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters.
Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village.

We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close.
Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods.
Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall.
Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake.
Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you.
The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary.
The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge.
Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. You may also spot the prolific wild hazelnuts. As Forest Stewards, we are committed to maintaining a well balanced and diverse forest ecosystem.

This 200 acre property is located within the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, a land bridge where two mountain ranges meet, creating immense biodiversity and natural beauty. Soda Spring is a bourgeoning community tended land located on the unceded territories of the Shasta, Takilma, Latgawa and Klamath peoples, just 10 minutes from the south end of Ashland, Oregon. The property is primarily oak savannah and pastureland, with adjacent fir/pine and madrone/manzanita forests and hillsides. The land sits in a valley where both Soda Creek and Carter Creek enter in to Emigrant Creek as it flows onward to Emigrant Lake, just a mile away. The land is being stewarded by a small group of humans and large community of wildlife and insects. Together we are slowly creating something special... including community event and classroom spaces, gardens, orchards, holistically managed ranch lands, campgrounds and wild places.
Please note that we are a working farm with sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, pigeons and bees. We ask that you are considerate to all the life happening on the land, observing animals at a distance (except the cats, who will not allow for that) and being aware of electric fences. If you bring dogs to the land, (an option only with RV sites) do so at your own risk. Dogs will need to be leashed at all times and cleaned up after meticulously. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe and the land well cared for.

If you are traveling through or base camping in the area for a bit, my lower gravel driveway is set up as an easy -access private parking area with string lights, tables and chairs, and space for your outdoor kitchen. Enjoy fresh mint, grapes from the grapevines, plums, west- facing sunsets, chickens nearby (no rooster, no worries), and wonderful afternoon shade.
It's a perfect spot for a van or two, a small to mid-sized bumper pull, or small RV. Tents are also welcome in the back field.
The property is about 10 minutes from the Britt Music Festival and the Forest Park off-leash trail system, as well as dozens of local wineries. It's also about a one-mile walk to downtown Phoenix via either the railroad tracks or the Greenway.
The site is just two blocks from the Greenway bike path. Cross the hwy and follow East Glenwood rd down the lane until it intersects with the bike path. It's a safe, peaceful space to spread out, dry your gear after a wet adventure, relax, listen to the birds, and enjoy a sunset without having close neighbors. Basically a convenient beautiful spot along your journey.
There is an outdoor shower and outdoor toilet.
I also host a Sniffspot on a separate section of the property, which can be added to your reservation through their app. Their motto is ‘like Air Bnb for dogs by the hour”. There, your dog can run free in a fully fenced and landscaped private dog park that they don’t have to share with any other dogs nor people.
In summary, Orange Dog Acres is a dog friendly parking spot for the night with the option to reserve a fully fenced Sniffspot to let your pup tire themselves out. Farm stand, dog pool and plenty of toys available . Beautiful property close to Crater Lake National Park. The Wood River runs through it. The 28 acres is mostly undeveloped, but there are a few houses and a restroom outbuilding. Bring your kids, bring your dogs; enjoy the beautiful setting. We have a few kayaks, or there are rental kayaks available nearby.
NOTE: Please be aware that the mosquitos can be very bad here at times.
Power has recently been going out more frequently due to the Pacific Power's "advanced safety settings". When the power is out the well pump is out, so there is no water. I am happy to provide buckets of river water for "flushing toilets" and pay for showers at the Klamoya Travel Center. I will not be giving refunds for a situation over which I have no control.

One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility. Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek.
When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance.
Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive.
Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided.
Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with potable drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.

We are super close to all that Central Oregon has to offer. Right now we just have space for you to park your rig and crash for the night. Bathroom available for you with a shower. We have a nice hot tub that you can use for $10 per person for your entire stay. We have friendly dogs that roam our property but we can put them inside if you would like. We love meeting new people and sharing travel stories :)

We had a wonderful experience at Myrtle’s RV. Beautiful setting and super clean. We went canoeing on The Wood River and saw a spectacular sunset. We would highly recommend this spot!

We pulled in late and our host still came to welcome us and make sure we were situated and knew where everything was. So beautiful to wake up to hear the creek and frogs across the street. Got to have nice hot showers a great breakfast with a view. The teeter totter was such a hoot for my daughter and I to play on . Then a beautiful walk over to! He stream.

We had a wonderful stay at the RV site! The area was incredibly well maintained. The bathrooms/showers were thoughtfully designed and very clean. And the location was perfect. Only about 25 minutes or so from Crater Lake, as well as tons of other things to explore in the area. Tracy was also very quick to respond with any questions we had. I would definitely recommend bringing bug spray since the bugs can be bad (bug spray worked fine and they left us alone), and make sure to screenshot the directions she sends. My GPS wasn’t routing to the correct place, but she sent me very easy to follow directions. Would absolutely stay here again.

What a gem in the remote Umpqua forest! Our site was easy to back our 19’ camper into with lots of extra space. Close walk to bathroom hot showers. The vegetation is beautiful. We had grapes and apples by our site. The hot springs up the road were a highlight of our week long trip. We wouldn’t have known about them if it wasn’t for staying at the Last Resort

This was a great stay. Bathrooms were really convenient and well maintained. RV site as well as the others stayed shaded until noon, which was nice. Apparently there are kayaks and river access, but there wasn’t clear signage, so we didn’t know until we ran into the site cleaner right before we left. The mosquitoes are brutal for sure, so bring plenty of bug spray. It was totally fine with the spray.

Google Maps was accurate coming up from the south. Do keep instructions handy just in case. They are well written. The site itself has been the best on our trip so far. Our site was fully equipped with hose for fire pit, fire pit with wood and kindling, picnic table, hookups, and and incredibly clean bathhouse (shared with all sites). See pics.

We loved tent camping at Myrtle's. The bathrooms were very nice. The river was beautiful. It was peaceful and quiet and we would stay there again. It felt secluded by was close enough to Crater Lake and Klamath Falls to enjoy it all.

I loved this place! Welcoming with full hookups for our camper. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful grounds. And don't miss stopping at the Dry Creek store, just like the campground, an oasis in the middle of nowhere. Not very good Internet which actually was a blessing. And definitely check out the creek pool a refreshing dip in this eden!

This RV park was beautifully maintained and the sites were perfect. All had their own little fire rings with picnic tables and surrounded by gorgeous trees. The location was incredible, with many outdoor hikes, waterfalls, and scenic areas to explore. Would happily stay here again, and hope we get the chance to!
