River Tent Site B
While the river sites were mostly peaceful, there was more road noise than expected, especially given that they are set back from the road. A map of the campground would be helpful when booking as sites B and C are much closer together than the other sites. Additionally, while the bathroom/shower facilities are nearby, it would have been nice to know ahead of time that they were across a somewhat busy road. We did enjoy our stay here and the proximity to North Cascades was nice. However, the price was steep for what this property is able to offer campers.

This was a great place to stay, we truly enjoyed it. The only thing missing was the bucket for the fire pit, but we got help with that and it wasn’t a problem. Thanks so much, we’ll be back!

We stayed in along the river in tent space D. The spot was nice and secluded, there is a boat ramp next to the site, but it wasn’t used more than a few times while we were there, it didn’t bother us. The space was large and had plenty of room for a big multiple person tent. The restroom/shower is about a 7 minute walk. My only complaint and it wasn’t even the fault of the campground is on the opposite side of the river is a house with a couple dogs that barked throughout the night, which did wake me up a couple times, they were very loud. The whole glacier peak area was very nice though, we loved it.

Glacier Peak is a bare bones woodsy campsite with a gorgeous spot to relax by the river. Unfortunately the hosts advertise that campfires are allowed, but neglect to mention when there is a burn ban in effect. During our stay there were dogs barking ALL NIGHT LONG across the river. We got zero sleep and decided to pack up and leave in the morning before dealing with that two nights in a row. While packing up we heard gunshots in close proximity (within ~200 feet) and we hurried up and got out of there. I looked up some reviews after leaving and noticed the site owners take the time to leave petty responses on almost every negative review across multiple platforms. I am convinced that the site owners know about the problems and the strict cancelation/refund policy is a "gotcha" because once you arrive and find out for yourself, it's too late to get your money back. It's a shame because this site is SO CLOSE to being a great spot to relax.

This really is a gem. Every spot is private. Electric and water. Easy-going host. 25 maybe 30 minutes west of glacier national Park welcome center. All good to go.

It was a pretty nice spot overall. The trees were lovely and the river was really close. The bathrooms were a 5 minute walk and were clean, there are just only 2 of them total for everyone so expect to wait a bit. I probably wouldn’t pick site B again as it was very close to site C, but I’m sure some of the others were a little more private. Overall we enjoyed it!

River Tent Site D
I absolutely loved staying at this site! The view of the river was spectacular, and the site itself was spacious and secluded. Being next to the boat ramp wasn't a problem at all—only two people launched their boats while we were there, and it was quick and quiet with no issues whatsoever.
The campground was very peaceful, with no road noise at our site, and since it’s so private, we didn’t have any close neighbors—just a spot across the boat launch. The camping beach was also a great bonus! We had a BBQ there and relaxed while soaking up some sun.
The showers were impressively clean, which was a big plus!
The only thing I missed was having a platform or surface to set the tent on, to avoid getting the bottom too dirty—but we managed by wiping it down when packing up.
Definitely planning to come back!

River Tent Site B
I camped at River Trail site B. It was a good size with a nice flat area for my tent. It was easy to find after reading the directions. It is a fully shaded site which I loved and a short walk to the river. It was beautiful and peaceful for the most part. My only complaint, which is completely outside the hosts control, is there was a dog across the River who barked A LOT in the middle of the night both nights I was there.

PROS: Price, location and full hookups!
CONS: Your site might be great, or it might suck. Site pictures and descriptions univerally suck. No site map online????
We stayed in FC02, and while it was a pull-through it was extremely narrow. The bushes throughout the property are largely un-maintained so I had to take a machete out to clear a path so folks could exit my truck!
Some of the sites are nicely secluded/private. Some feel like you are in a parking lot. The river path across hwy 20 leads straight to the Skagit river with a nice little beach/shoreline area great for wading and some sunbathing! The tent sites on that same path are fantastic rustic sites with great privacy and easy access to the river's edge.
Overall, I am happy with the stay, but I think the owners/managers of the property can do a better job of informing customers during the reservation process. The stuff below costs almost nothing to do!
1) Post site pictures that don't look like they were taken with a potato.
2) Include better descriptions of the sites. Length, width, amenities. Some sites had BBQ's, some had fire rings, some had shade, most (but not all) were relatively level.
2) Publish a site map with foliage markers, etc. Even the map the site host gave us was confusing, lacking markers.

Overall, this is a great pick if all of surrounding parks (those in North Cascades NP) are booked up and you want somewhere to pitch your tent so that you have access to day hikes in the national park. Its location is the strongest part. There are also hot showers and the bathrooms are super nice and homey and clean. However, there’s several things that could be improved. Our site was verrrry bare bones—just a grassy area nestled in the trees. No picnic table. No fire-pit (a real bummer because we could’ve had a fire, something not allowed in the national park due to a burn ban). The other thing that was super disappointing was the lack of potable water. While you could fill up water bottles from the bathroom sink, it was unclear as to another handy option like a water spigot typical in any other standard state or national park campground I’ve been to. Hipcamp advertised potable water for this site and we felt a little misled.
All in all, I’d probably stay again if I had to, but again, all of the other campgrounds in the national park are far superior for tent camping. If I came here again, I might try one of their cabins. Maybe that experience would be more optimal.

We reserved tent site A and did a day hike nearby. No river views/access from there. Only a short walk to main river access though. Short drive or medium walk across hwy 20 to showers/bathrooms/store.
Next time will continue further down to a spot by the river. Some can be reserved but seems like a bunch aren't listed yet?
Helpful service from office folks. They had charcoal grills you could borrow which was nice.

Check-in was a cluster. Gal wasn't pleasant, and it seemed like the "guests" were quite sketch. 3 men showed up at 4 am to launch a boat on the river right next tonus.. Scared the crap out of us

Can't get much closer to the Skagit than GVR! Sites B&C are basically conjoined, but.
B was vacant, so I felt like I had a double site all to myself! GVR was a phenomenal launch poing for my 20 mile paddle downstream. And would have been a perfect landing spot for an upper paddle (I dental emergency didn't force me to leave early). I will definitely be back again!

Much more isolated than expected. Fine camping experience, right next to the river which is beautiful! The “resort” is across the highway road from the campsites. That means the shower and bathrooms were far away, and there is a really old and run down porta potty near the campsites for you to use.
