Our 28 acres are located in between maple falls and glacier, Wa, directly on Mt Baker Hwy on the way to Beautiful Mt Baker. Ben and I run a chemical free farm, on which we raise 7 and 1/2 acres of veggie and flower. 15 acres of pastureland on which we raise pasture raised chicken, as well as biannual lamb and beef. The remainder of our land is breathtaking pacific northwest forest that is boarded by the Bay to Baker trail. Our campsites range between walk in wooded sites, and car camping sites that are open field sites next to the tree line. We provide wagons in our cart corral area to make it more convenient for the very short walk in. ( no more then a 200 foot walk in) We have a beautiful cedar grove to enjoy for lounging and picnics. The Bay to Baker trail borders our property, so it is just steps away and includes a 45 min round walk to a quaint little waterfall (maple falls). As well as a nature loop trail. You can also walk the other direction on the trail over a boardwalk. This direction walks along the back of the farm and allows you to see the veggie fields from a distance. Yofu can continue on the bay to baker trail for a nice walk. There is a conservation area, just a quarter mile drive down the road. With access to the Nooksack river, that includes several nice swimming spots and a couple nice walking trials. Silver Lake is just 3.8 miles away. It has a great recreation area, fun for the whole family. Just a heads up , you will probably lose service on your drive up here. But you will get service back when you are here. We suggest putting the map in your phone before you leave. Google maps will take you just past the farm, and apple maps will stop you too soon. So you are looking for the large kragnes family farms sign in the driveway. pull in and follo the camping signs to the back.

Site 4 we have made possible for a single person site so that if you are camping alone you don't have to spend as much. It is tucked back in the woods surrounded by moss covered maples and ferns. This site can fit up to 2 tents. It has a fire pit and a bench but no picnic table, this site is a smaller site to accommodate a lower price. This is a very short walk in site, and we have a cart corral area were we provided wagons for transportation. all of our walk in site are less then 200 ft from the parking area. We have a beautiful cedar grove to enjoy that is a communal area. Also have a large fire pit area for big bonfires as a communal space. It is about a 2-3 minute walk to the Bay to Baker trail. Which brings you to the falls of maple falls and nature loop. We also have disc golf baskets that can be played depending on how many camp sites are filled.

Site 3 is a beautiful fern covered nook with a lush cedar tree that creates a nice natural canopy. this site fits 2 tents comfortably, or 3 small tents. Site 3 has a picnic table and a fire pit. It is also right next our little bit of history stump. Back in the day loggers would cut a notch in the giant trees and place a board in the notch. Then two men would stand on each end of the board and cut higher up where it starts to narrow, making it less sawing time. this is a very short walk in site, wheelbarrow provided of transportation. It is about a 4-5 minute walk to the Bay to Baker trail. Which brings you to the falls of maple falls and nature loop. This is a very short about 1-2 minute walk in site. All of our walk in sites are no more then 200 feet from the parking area. we provide wheelbarrows for transportation. We also have disc golf baskets that can be played depending on how many camp sites are filled.

Site 2 is in a meadow surrounded by lush forest, and a view of bald mountain. It gets great sun. You can fit up to 5 tents in this site. If you have a larger party you can rent site 1 as well and combine them. Site 2 comes with a fire pit and picnic table. It is close to the bathroom, large communal fire pit, and communal cedar grove. It is a walk in site so about a 1-2 minute walk from the parking area. We have a cart corral area with wagons to make it easy walk in for camping. It is about a 4-5 minute walk to the Bay to Baker trail. Which brings you to the falls of maple falls and nature loop. This is a very short about 1-2 minute walk in site. All of our walk in sites are no more then 200 feet from the parking area. we provide wheelbarrows for transportation. Site 1 is a medium - large campsites in the wooded area, fitting up to 4 tents. It is a nice flat open space that is surrounded by lush trees. For larger groups more then 10 you can rent site 2 as well, which is next to site 1, and can easily be connected. This is the closest campsite to the bathroom, parking, large communal fire pit, and the communal cedar grove. Site 1 has a fire pit and picnic table. It is about a 4-5 minute walk to the Bay to Baker trail. Which brings you to the falls of maple falls and nature loop. This is a very short about 1-2 minute walk in site. Site 6 is an open field sites, You can fit a larger group in our open field car camping sites. Site 6 is tucked back agents the tree line and can fit up to 7 tents. to give you an idea for size site 6 is 90' by 60". it has a fire pit but no picnic table at this time. If you have a very large group or event please contact tyne or ben directly. You can car camp in the field camp site. Campervans and car camping are permitted at this site. no campers at this site unless they are an insert camper. There are no hook ups or dumping. You are welcome to bring pop up tents, pop up tables.... max vehicles can be changed. it all depends on the situation. For example, if everyone is car camping, is different then everyone driving separately and tent camping. The Bay to Baker tail access is a about a 5 minute walk , which can bring you to the falls at maple falls, and a nature loop. We also have disc golf baskets that can be played depending on how many camp sites are filled. We have a beautiful cedar grove to enjoy that is a communal area. Site 7 is an open field sites This is our largest campsite it is 90' by 130". You can fit up to 15 tents in site 7. Campervans and car camping are permitted at this site. For very large groups you can rent site 7 and 8 and combine them as they are right next to each other. If you have a large group or event please contact tyne or ben directly. You can car camp in the field camp sites. We do allow campers in site 7 for an additional $20 fee depending on the camper. Our stay was short but absolutely perfect! We arrived in the dark and were able to easily find our site thanks to the fantastic directions provided and map of the camping area in the parking lot. The site was very well maintained and we were able to purchase wood on site at night to make a fire, which was very convenient! It was clear how much time and thought was put into the camp sites. We would definitely stay again.

Such a cute little campground! Site 3 was very private and well shaded. The walk in was pretty short and the carts made it pretty easy. The composting toilet is the cleanest I've seen. There were some bugs but not too bad!

Good quick stopover on Mt Baker hwy

This site worked well for us for a quick stopover on the Mt. Baker hwy. It is very basic with mowed field or grass parking area with clean outhouse and hand washing sink nearby. The grass sites have fire pits as well. Tyne is a responsive and helpful host. There is a bit of road noise from the highway, which is a trade-off for the convenient location.

Nice little camping area on a cute farm. Perfect staging area for day trips into the mountains. The road noise is a bit loud, but it quieted down the time we went to bed.

Our family of five stayed in Site #1 in the woods and had a very relaxing time! We loved the signage, composting toilet, and sink with water! The trails were well cared for and we could tell the owners take great care of their property. We met Tyne briefly and she was warm and welcoming. Thanks for sharing your beautiful space with us!

This was my first time using Hipcamp and it was a great experience. Tyne was a responsive and friendly host. Site 4 was spacious and a convenient place to stay as a base camp for 2 days of hiking. Unfortunately we didn’t have time for a campfire but that was a nice option. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

The setup at Kragnes Farm is really wonderful - you can tell they have put alot of thought and love into developing this little campground, and they care for it very well! We were in site 3 and it was the most private. A super short walk from the car. We would absolutely stay here again!

Kragnes Farm is a beautiful and welcoming place to camp. The sites are spacious, clean, and well cared for, with peaceful trails, open fields, and sparkling facilities. It’s also the perfect launch pad for hikes up in Mt. Baker, offering both convenience and natural beauty. A true gem in the Pacific Northwest—I can’t recommend it enough!

Camp here! Site 3 was perfect for my husband and I who had planned a quick trip to explore Baker National Forest. The farm and campsite are great/well maintained, and had a nice composting toilet. Site 3 was perfect because it felt secluded from the other sites while still being close to the parking area and toilet. Tyne was responsive and a great host.

This is such a wonderful place! It's the second time I've camped there over two years and it's clear that the owners continue to put lots of love and effort into their land. The sites are thoughtful with nice separation and privacy; lots of nice trails to wander around on-site. The composting toilet is kept tidy and the pump sink nearby is great for hand washing. Scenery is gorgeous. There are carts for rolling in your stuff from the parking field to your site. The farm stand has great seasonal produce. I'll definitely be back here again!

This was by far the sweetest solo camping experience I’ve had. Tyne messaged that morning when it was pouring rain and offered to let me camp closer to my car so all my stuff wouldn’t get wet. When I arrived, she gave me a hug and offered an umbrella from her car. After I unpacked at the loveliest spot beneath a big cedar tree, I had the most peaceful and relaxing time. The trail that runs behind the property all the way to maple falls was lined with berries to eat and such beautiful views. They even sent a hand drawn map of how to get to a private swimming spot on the river. I had total privacy and was able to unplug and reconnect with nature. Thank you!!

The whole experience was a breeze. Easy booking, extra directions from host, signs to follow, etc. The site was cozy, and great location on the way to Baker. Access to hiking trail and nearby park. Excellent campfire safety. Very decent outhouse as those go. Highly recommend, just note you can't park directly at your campsite.

We loved site 2! It was so spacious, fit 3 tents easily. Lots of shade and grassy areas. One of the big grassy areas is a bit sloped though which can make pitching a tent a little less ideal but totally still doable as long as you orient yourself the right way! It’s also the perfect distance between the car park and the community composting toilet. You could hear highway sounds but couldn’t see the highway from the campsite so it still felt private and secluded. This site would be great to combine with site #1 if you had a super big group since they’re just across the way from each other. We would totally stay again!

We had a very nice experience camping at the farm! The location was very convenient to glacier and mount baker ski area. Tyne was lovely and very responsive to my messages leading up to our stay. The outhouse was super clean even with all of the camp sites full.

Meadow Camping for a Large Group

We camped the weekend of August 1st (check in) to August 3rd (check out). The weather was a toasty 80° Friday and Saturday, but Sunday morning was refreshingly overcast. If camping in the meadow sites during the Summer months, bring some sort of canopy or pop up tent! We were SO glad that we brought ours because we debated it back and forth during packing, but it ended up being absolute necessity. Around 7:30am the tents were warm from the sunrise. It woke us up at the perfect time! By around 5:00pm, the site cools down quite a bit. This is when we would start our campfire. There’s plenty of space to park! Collectively, we had 6 cars and parked them along the campsite dividers for privacy. Worked perfectly! :) Tyne, you are AMAZING as a host. Very communicative and friendly. You’re incredibly helpful and kind! We’re so happy that you were our first Hipcamp host. ❤️ Thank you for your input for local hikes, trails, and swimming! Once again, thank you and your family for hosting my large friend group. We were probably loud as a group of 13, but we hope we didn’t disturb our neighbors in the site next to ours. We would have kindly made any adjustments if asked, but no one said anything to us so I am hoping all was well for our neighbors! Half the group were first time campers, the other half were seasoned outdoorsmen. But the WHOLE group enjoyed our time!

Well maintained and beautiful campgrounds! The host was very communicative. We were in tent site #1, which ended up being a little too close to the toilet and entrance to the sites where people came in at night loudly. I would book campsite 3 or 4 next time.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kragnes Family Farm Mt Baker Camp! Site 6 was more than enough room for our 3 tents and 2 vehicles with plenty to spare. Tyne and family we amazing host, Tyne stop by on our second day to check in, introduce herself and gave us some great recommendations of local restaurants, hikes and places/things to see which we greatly appreciated. We will definitely be booking at Kragnes Family Farms again in the future!

Large site for our group of 6 people with multiple vehicles and multiple camping modes. Nice composting toilet and beautiful property. Convenient location close to Maple Falls and lots of other activities. Hosts went out of their way to accommodate our group’s needs! Awesome hosts and would definitely stay next time we’re in the area.
