It is very rewarding to be entering our 7th season of Shangri La Push. We have grown from a few meadow tent sites in 2018 to a full service campground in 2024.
Shangri La Push is a private property we want to share with like-minded travelers who enjoy the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. Traffic noise is evident from La Push Rd during peak season. Check out our 2 listings.
We offer 7 individual tent sites and 5 RV sites all within the beautiful 5 acres of Alder Groves. Enjoy sparkling meadows of tall grasses and majestic fir trees. The ground is level packed dirt and light gravel for tents.
Campsites/RV sites each has its own picnic table and fire ring. We have 2 hot showers, one flush toilet and 2 porta potties.
We are located in the great northwest, near Forks WA, 8 miles off Highway 101 on State Highway 110 (La Push Road) 5 miles from La Push. 9 miles from Forks.
Forks (made famous by author Stephanie Meyer's setting here, her internationally known vampire love-story series; Twilight.)
Forks is a small, yet full-service town with banks, restaurants, post office, outfitters, guide services, hardware, hospital, pharmacy and grocery stores.
Just 5 miles from the Native-American Quileute Village of La Push and their amazing beaches:
First, Second, Third Beach and also nearby; Rialto Beach.
Second Beach is alleged to be in the top 5 most beautiful beaches in the world. Surfing, hiking, kayaking and bird-watching are some of the many activities to enjoy in the area.

Olympic Adventure Campground

Olympic Adventure Campground is available to Both RV's & Tent Dry Camping.
The Camp Address is: 192602 US-101, Forks, WA 98331, USA.
Our Camp is situated on a little more than 5 acres out of our 18 acres of Dense Enormous Evergreen Forest in the Olympic temperate rain forest region. It is next to the road on Highway 101 but still offers our guests the wilderness experience and semi-privacy with tall trees surrounding the camp. We recommend that our guests use GPS to find Forks, WA, First. Once you find Forks, you will be able to find our camp.
Helpful Hints: If you are traveling from the South side of town: We are only about Half a Mile from the Northbound Edge of town on the Right. If you are traveling from the North side: Watch for milepost number 193. This means you are very close. Our camp will be on the left.
Our Sites were planned out and spaced to offer our guests plenty of "Elbow Room". Whether your travel plans are for using a Tent or parking an RV, we can help you with that. Each site has its own Details and Pricing for Booking your Reservations. Please check-in at the main office building from 1pm-7pm. The store business hours are: Daily between the hours of 7am - 7pm. After business hours guests may call or send a text message up to 9pm to check-in. If a guest decides that they are dissatisfied with their original choice of camping space, they can make a request to change it (depending on availability), through the booking platform that we use called Hipcamp. But do keep in mind that there will be a fee applied for making a modification on a reservation. Otherwise let us know how we may help you during your stay.
We very kindly ask our guests to be patient and adaptable if ever they encounter a booking issue at our camp. Surprisingly it does happen sometimes with the online booking websites. We experienced this problem over our busiest summer season in 2023. So this is why it can be stressful on both our guests and our hosts. We simply ask our guests to have some mercy on us as we work very hard to accommodate you even if something goes wrong. However, if someone out there is not willing to consider and accept a change in their booking site as a result of a rare but possible booking issue, then they may need to look elsewhere to camp.
Regarding Electric Vehicles: The Fee for Charging an Electric Vehicle Overnight is a Flat Rate of $8.00. Please send us a message or call ahead if you are planning to bring one to our camp. The fee would be handled at our office.
Here at Olympic Adventure Campground we work hard to ensure that our guests are content with their camp space and the surroundings. Most of our guests expect to have a quiet, peaceful stay. With this in mind, we have a strict rule in place: Our camp Speed Limit is 5 mph. No Excessively Loud & Fast Operation of Vehicles are allowed to cruise on our camp roads. Some examples are: ATV (Example: Polaris), Dirt Racing Motorcycles, Race Cars.
We also kindly ask our guests to use the nearest large dumpster as needed for their trash. Please do not hang bags of food or trash up in the tree branches; do not leave them on the ground anywhere as it does attract the ravens and crows to make a big mess with it.
RV Black Waste Water Holding Tanks:
We Kindly Ask our Guests the Following: Please arrive at our camp with an empty waste water holding tank. There are a few dumping options available here, just ask us more about it. There is another place called Bogachiel State Park that has a dump station available for RV's at the flat rate of $8.00. It is located about 5 miles south of Forks, WA. There are also some rest areas along the I-5 freeway that have free dump stations. Please be mindful to not burden our septic system by arriving here with a full tank of waste water that was accumulated elsewhere.
Among the amenities here at our camp, we do have 3 restroom stand alone units with running water for hot showers available for $5.00 per person on a schedule between the hours of 7am-7pm daily. The reason we charge for it is the following: When we first started this business, the showers were free. However, people would line up behind all the restrooms waiting to take a free shower and others waited in line just to use the commode. Later we received negative feedback about all that. So we humbly ask our guests to be considerate for others and for us. With regard to that: Please coordinate and supervise kids appropriately for using the facilities that are available here. We have some portable units set up at our camp also to accommodate guests especially when the camp is fully booked.
We recommend that our guests bring along a raincoat and a warm layer of clothing because rain showers and temperature changes are random and it can happen in any season. Some popular activities in this region include; hiking, fishing, kayaking, rafting trips. Lake Pleasant, as its name implies, located only 8 miles North of Forks is a lovely spot for swimming, boating. Please read the details of our camp listing as appropriate for your travel plans and for more information on our camp amenities and rules.

We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play.
Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca.
Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US!
We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21.

The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing.

Also for those looking for For those looking to see bioluminescent algae, there is a great place that only the locals know about just down the road from us. It's loaded with glowing beautiful algae. You can kayak or wade in the water or boat. Movement makes it glow. The water is super calm there so it's the best place to see it. The waves are tiny which is perfect for seeing glowing waves. It really is Beautiful.
This unique destination at 62 Howard Road Port Angeles WA 98363 is a short two miles west of joyce WA. And only one mile east of Reynolds rd. Beach access. another quarter miles is lyre river state park. Half a miles more you will find Murdoch beach, and following that is Sadie crk. O.R.V. park as well as the Discovery trail just a few min away. Non stop fishing action along the accessible waterfront. Freshwater fun at lake Cresent as well as lake Sutherland.. Hiking, Kyaking, Bicycling, Bird watching, local legendary Elk herd can be seen passing between campsites. Fire pits and tables on site , easy access driveway and enuff room to park boats , trailers , etc. Pet friendly... must clean up after animal, and must be on leash at all times. Host or hostess is available in the afternoon as well as fpirewood by bundle onsite. Social style camping be ready to meet new fun people.

Bathrooms are a port-a-potty. Unfortunately, we do not have showers or Wifi at this time. However, showers are available at the local gym for a $10 day pass. Bring your own towel and soap.
Rules:
1. Quiet time is from 10pm to 7am

4. Do not trespass on neighboring property or cow field
5. Drive slow on the road leading up to the campground (10 mph). The owner's cats are often on the road near the entrance so keep an eye out when driving.

We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do, it is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, quiet place.
All of our sites have full hook-ups (water, sewer, and power). The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets.
Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. There is two nearby boat launches - one off of Elk River just 2 miles away and the other off of Johns River launch just 6 miles away.
We are located in the middle of an outdoor paradise and want others to enjoy all it has to offer.
