Rural, quiet and peaceful. It is right off a road, however, there is not much traffic. We brought our truck camper and enjoyed spending time outdoors listening to the birds and reading at the picnic table. It was easy to get to and if we are ever in that area again we would stay here.

This is a hidden gem- near the beaches but away from the crowds. Even at night it is easy to find. Not much road traffic, other than a few logging trucks on a weeknight. It is evident Eric and Talley have put a lot of work into the property. The sites are clean and well cared for. Even the porta potties have a wide selection of sanitizers and others supplies. Along the beaches there are abundant opportunities to top off a water supply, so with a little planning ahead it wasn't a problem. Talley was generous in sharing her local knowledge of the area and I'm looking forward to going back to check out more of her recommendations.

The campground was very clean and organized. There was a clean restroom and firewood available. The site was a good size. We loved it being so close to all the area activities like Ruby beach and the Hoh rainforest. Liked that it was small campground and fairly quiet area. Hosts were great! We would definitely go back!

We had a great stay at Eric & Talley’s camp. We had both tent sites and the set up was perfect for our group of 8 with 3 vans and 2 tents. Everything was clean and neat and comfortable with elk viewings, a river dip and the best port-a-potty’s. We would stay again!

Three flat, generous RV spots with lots of room in between. Trees provide shade. Sturdy picnic tables. Clean porta-potty. Make sure to bring water as none is available. Electric hookups are on the correct side. Walking distance to a creek.

This was pur first experience with Hipcamp, we were pleasantly surprised with this great spot. Eric and Tally stopped by and we had a nice visit.
The RV spots are spacious and have plenty of privacy. The two tent sites are near each other bit still with enough space for privacy. It is just off the road so some road noise and I would think it would be more noisy in a tent. I will share pictures and try to label them but honestly I am sure they won't really show how beautiful it is. One night the place was full, however even full that is only 5 sets of campers.
The Hurst park is a nice walk and a pretty creek that looks like a place you could swim, the ocean beaches and Lake Quinault are very close too.
Hope to come back again and enjoy this place with some family.

This was a great experience overall. Centrally located to several parts of the peninsula and close to several beaches, we were able to visit the two rainforests, three beaches, and made a day trip to Port Angeles. The site was well maintained and the sand pad for your tent was very comfy to sleep on. The port-a-potty was clean and had air fresheners(!) making it feel a little luxurious for camping, and creating a more welcoming environment for our kids who are not used to using those kinds of facilities on the regular.
Two things to note if you are considering this site:
1. The Tent 2 site we stayed at is fairly close to the road. There is *very* little traffic, but when cars do go by it can be loud, especially at night.
2. My wife and I are T-Mobile customers and we did not have signal at the camp ground (she’s Android, I’m iPhone). This was not a problem for us, but I would recommend downloading offline maps just in case. If you are a digital nomad working off of a hotspot, you will have to go into town about 30mins to get signal. Starlink seems to work, from what I can tell.

Camp Clearwater was easy to find and conveniently located to see the sights on the southeast corner or west coast of Olympic NP. We had the campground to ourselves and it was very peaceful.

We loved Camp Clearwater, perfect location peaceful setting and just down the road from Kalaloch Beach. Eric and Talley are wonderful hosts. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.

The tent site was very convenient and thought out. The sand floor for the tent site has ruined us for all other camping because it was so soft under the tent. The area was very quiet and relaxing. Tent site 2 is closer to the road but shaded more with the trees. The road noise was manageable because there wasn't a lot of traffic. The lack of potable water was the only downside.

The spots were level, the landscaping was nice, and it was quiet and dark, but the price felt really high for a place with no potable water, dump sight, or shower house. There were electrical hook-ups and the porta potty was very clean, but the mosquitos and flies were vicious. For $20-$30 we'd definitely consider going back but for $65 a night for an RV sight it simply was not worth it.

Tent 1 was great for the weekend! About a 15 minute drive to all the beaches, an hour and a half to the Hall of Mosses in Olympic national park. The campsites were very well maintained and we had such a great time.

I can't say enough good things about this camp site. We have a larger RV and we had plenty of space. It was beautiful, quiet, and very well maintained. The port a potty was the cleanest, nicest one I have ever seen. The fire pits and picnic tables were great! We did see elk almost every night in the field across the road. Will definitely stay again :)

We loved staying at Clearwater! RV2 is a part of a sort of culdesac with about 4-5 total sites. The area was beautiful and well maintained. Close to the main road but it wasn’t very busy and we hardly noticed any traffic noise. Eric and Talley were friendly and welcoming. There’s a port-a-potty available and a whole shelter full of free firewood. The hosts set out coffee, tea, and donuts each morning for campers! Would absolutely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Camp Clearwater. You can really see the intention and care Eric and Talley have put into their place. It is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed. The atmosphere is so calm and comforting. This was far and away our favorite campsite during our tour of the Olympic Peninsula. I cannot recommend it enough.

We stumbled upon this HipCamp site after missing the lotteries for the campgrounds we originally had our hearts set on in the area, and honestly? It turned out to be a happy accident we'll never forget.
As first-time HipCamp users, we weren't sure what to expect — we half-joked we'd be parked in someone's backyard! But we were completely blown away. This has quickly become one of our favorite spots we've ever stayed at.
The setting is intimate and cozy, with very little road noise or traffic. The hosts went above and beyond — free firewood, plus coffee, donuts, and hot water waiting for us in the morning. They even accommodated a one-night stay when their usual minimum is two nights, which was so generous and flexible of them.
The hosts are warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. And fair warning: the photos don't do this place justice. You just have to experience it for yourself. We can't wait to come back!

Eric and Talley are some of the best hosts we’ve met on Hipcamp. They were incredibly friendly, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great stay.
When I accidentally booked a tent site instead of an electric site for my Tesla, they went above and beyond by moving us to an available RV site. That level of kindness and hospitality is rare and very much appreciated.
The campground was peaceful, clean, and well-maintained. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings, plenty of firewood, and a relaxing camping experience. Communication was excellent throughout our stay, and they even kept us informed about other campers and activity around the property.
You can tell they truly care about their guests and take pride in hosting. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning in the future.
Highly recommend Camp Clearwater to anyone looking for a peaceful camping getaway with exceptional hosts.
