Welcome to ELKS Beach, a charming recreation lot nestled along the shores of Lake Sammamish. Though not one acre in size (please note that the HipCamp app requires a minimum selection of 1 acre), our cozy spot offers a unique lakeside experience. Parking is conveniently situated a couple of blocks away, and the site is accessible via a walk-in/walk-out path connected to the East Lake Sammamish Trail.
The terrain boasts a slightly sloped, rocky shoreline, providing direct no-bank access to the water for activities such as swimming, paddle-boarding, boating, fishing, and sunbathing. Please be aware that the site does not have utilities or hook-ups, embracing a rustic getaway experience. It can accommodate two tents and up 4 adults or up to 6 people with children comfortably.
On-site amenities include a firepit, picnic table, trash can, sun umbrellas, camp chairs, Adirondack chairs, and floaties for your enjoyment. Additionally, a honeybucket is available in the parking lot for your convenience. Please note that the boat lift and on-site cabana are not available for camper use. There is no electricity so please be prepared to bring your own lighting. (There is a set of string party lights at the site that utilize solar power and click on at dusk automatically). Various chairs, paddle boards, tents and other items shown in images may belong to guests and are not all included in the rental. Please inquire if you have any questions regarding specifics of what is included.

Manchester State Park features a beach, sand dunes, and flat grasslands, with nearly 18,000 feet of ocean frontage. The beach line curves gently to form a "catch basin" for sea debris, which accounts for the volume of driftwood found here. Five miles of gentle, sandy beach stretches southward towards the Point Arena Lighthouse.
One of the main attractions is the excellent steelhead fishing in the park’s two streams, Brush Creek and Alder Creek. The park features a variety of coastal wildflowers, including sea pinks, poppies, lupines, baby blue eyes and blue irises. The park provides habitat for tundra swans. The San Andreas Fault runs into the sea at the park.

This is a stand alone structure that is separate from our main house. There is no shower in this dry space, but there is a camping sink that functions like a normal kitchen sink with hot water capacity. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, “Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite” is a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, so don’t bob your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities.
We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors.
You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. Lawnacres is a 20 acre farm that focuses on enhancing wellbeing through the presence of horses and nature. The Bunky itself is a converted horse stall in one of the barns on the property.
The glamping space is approximately 10x12, with a queen size log bed and wide rustic cedar plank flooring. The “stall” to the north houses an outdoor shower and sauna. It’s about a 30 foot walk to the outhouse.
The stalls to the south are usually used by horses during the day, but they sleep in a different barn at night.
Guests are free to amble about the acreage, which has a stream, a wooded path and some wide open meadow.

There is no where in Seattle in the city to stay if you have an RV and want go to any of the games (Seahawks, Storm, etc) or check out all that the city has to offer.
So finding Patricks little Garden Spot was Perfect for us and the dogs.
Great place to stay.
Very quiet and secure. Felt very safe to leave all our belongings and dogs when we went to the game.
The RV spot is covered by a large metal structure which was great. Keep the heat or rain out.
Patrick was friendly, informative and accommodating and the instruction of how to get there were clear and it’s easy to find, park and turn around. Our RV is 20ft long, but the area could easily park something bigger.
We will definitely be staying there again.

Bunky Barn was a pleasant surprise! Alison was a kind and generous host who provided everything we needed to be comfortable in the barn. My partner and I rode our bikes there and felt very safe. The fire pit and sauna were a treat and a perfect way to relax after our journey from Seattle. The horses and the property made it feel like an adventure in nature with all the creature comforts in mind. Thanks for sharing your space with us!

Our family of four (kids ages 7 and 11) had a wonderful 3-night stay on Alexia's farm. The highlight of the trip was meeting all of the farm animals and watching Alexia milk the goats each morning. The goats were definitely my kids' favorite! Alexia was incredibly warm, welcoming, and full of information about the animals. We appreciated how freely she allowed us to explore the property.
The camping area is located in acres of beautiful woods with trails, a creek, and tall canopy trees overhead. We were able to choose our own campsite, and once in the woods, it hardly felt like we were only 10 minutes from Seattle. The setup was great, with an outhouse, plenty of firewood, and lots of space to spread out. Our kids also loved the rope swing near the farm while waiting for goat-milking time.
A few things future campers may want to know: the camping area is across a small road from the farm, and depending on where you camp, you may be able to see neighboring houses. While the woods feel secluded, you can still hear some traffic at night. The outhouse is in the woods, while the shower and dishwashing sink are located behind the farmhouse.
Overall, we loved our stay. Watching the daily work that goes into caring for the animals and maintaining the farm was inspiring, and we left feeling grateful for the experience. It was a peaceful, wholesome family getaway, and we're thankful we got to meet such wonderful people.

2 nights at The Bunky in The Barn
My stay at Alison’s was serene, peaceful, and exactly what I needed. I was looking for a place to decompress, find inspiration, and get some work done, and this exceeded my expectations.
As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the smell of freshly cut grass, hay, and the farm. Two adorable miniature donkeys welcomed me, and I quickly found myself captivated by the beautiful horses grazing nearby. The setting felt calming and restorative from the moment I arrived.
The barn room was unique, private, and full of character. It was the perfect place to work and create. Sitting at the desk while watching horses graze just outside was such a special experience. The showers were wonderful, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
I was a little concerned it might get chilly at night since part of one wall is screened to the outdoors, but the comforter was so thick and cozy that I slept soundly. It was also surprisingly quiet at night.
The only thing to note is that there is no sink in the room, though it wasn’t an issue for me as I simply washed my hands in the shower. There is also an outhouse around the corner. As someone who is a bit of a germaphobe, I would have preferred an indoor bathroom, but that was really my only minor drawback.
Overall, I loved this getaway and would absolutely stay here again. It’s a wonderful retreat for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy a unique farm experience.

The water was clean & our 5 and 9 year olds had a blast and have already asked to go back. Haha. It truly felt like a mini vacation close to home. Weekend Trip to Fern Gully Retreat
We really enjoyed our time at fern gully. There's a nice little hiking trail on the property with open areas to relax and just enjoy the peace and quiet. Staying in the Airstream was great and is convenient to lots of wilderness areas to hike in. Brad was very responsive and attentive to our needs. Thanks for a great stay.

Weekend Trip to Ms Pacman's Glampsite *no shower*
I enjoyed having a private, secure spot to hunker down after a day in the big city. I slept so well. I also enjoyed the things that earned its name and more! So nice to learn about local spots to check out. Playing the Pacman games was a fun way to unwind and I learned from checking out the queer library. What a great spot! Will be returning in the future!

Very peaceful, lovely place to camp right by the main part of town. The communal space is very well equipped and checking in was very easy. If you’re looking for a calm, lovely place to camp on the island, check out this lovely farm!

19 ft truck camper
This family-run farm is just what I was hoping for - close enough to Seattle (we’re visiting UW) but far enough out that it feels peaceful and definitely not urban. The path behind the farm is flanked by flower farms and nurseries and connects to a paved bike trail, along a river, that you can ride to wineries, breweries, parks, and more. Jana and Pedro are very welcoming.

Because it's next to a nature preserve, Patrick's site is quiet and private. He's provided a lot of thoughtful improvements like a power extension cord and a long hose for topping off your RV fresh water tanks. His home is close to just about anything you would want to do in the Seattle area.
