Large yurt (24ft diameter) great for family glamping (no tent required), personal retreat or group event nestled in the forest on a 22 acre farm. Yurt has one queen bed (with quality linens), one single bed (with linens) two Japanese floor mats, a composting toilet, battery pack to charge phones or use simple appliances, drinking water and a hand washing station. There is also a kettle for heating water, tea and coffee, some dishes, lanterns, paper products, two coolers (ice can be provided at extra charge) and lots of candles. There is also a small portable heater. If you want to use the heater please bring a one pound propane canister. Deck, fire pit, bbq and room to roam. There are goats, chickens and ducks to feed and berries to puck in season. Manchester State Park features a beach, sand dunes, and flat grasslands, with nearly 18,000 feet of ocean frontage. The beach line curves gently to form a "catch basin" for sea debris, which accounts for the volume of driftwood found here. Five miles of gentle, sandy beach stretches southward towards the Point Arena Lighthouse.
One of the main attractions is the excellent steelhead fishing in the park’s two streams, Brush Creek and Alder Creek. The park features a variety of coastal wildflowers, including sea pinks, poppies, lupines, baby blue eyes and blue irises. The park provides habitat for tundra swans. The San Andreas Fault runs into the sea at the park.
The park takes its name from the village of Manchester, which is located in Mendocino County on Coast Highway 1 about seven miles north of Point Arena.
This is an area of rich grazing lands, flocks of sheep and herds of cattle which add a pastoral note to some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the world.

This cozy cottage is equipped with a queen size bed in a lovely sleeping loft, a small but useful kitchen, a large trex deck with patio furniture, a comfy couch and small dining table. The separate, but luxurious, bath house has a full sized shower, sink, and fully plumbed flushing toilet. There is even a small stacked washer and dryer available. Laundry soap available for purchase. Name brand (no dollar store stuff here) shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.
A cozy heater keeps the tiny house warm on cool days, but there is no air conditioning. The shady woods stay nice and cool, and there are lots of screened windows to let in the breeze. The sleeping loft also has two screened windows and a fan if the nights are warm.

The bed has 100% cotton sheets, pillow cases, and blanket. As well as a comfy coverlet. A feather alternative duvet is available for colder nights.
There is only one bed and it is not recommended for small children to sleep in the loft as there is no safety rail or gate up there. If a child is present it is recommended (almost required) that they sleep on the couch in the lower living space.

They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. Wholly Fig's campsite is a lovely spot set under some maple trees. It was private, quiet, and comfortable. Parking pad was perfectly level for our van. We enjoyed the sunset at the picnic table where the hosts had left some fresh-picked berries, herbs and a sprig of flowers. The hosts were wonderful. They welcomed us as we arrived and again when we departed. This was just what we were hoping for. And we were able to purchase a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers at their farm stand when we left. Thank you!

I loved tent camping on Tara’s land. It was conveniently located to restaurants and shops. We came in on bikes and Vashon is very hilly island! It was nice that campus the tent platform, water spigot, and porter potty. Also enjoyed the family of deer grazing next to camp.

Delightful private yurt! Tucked away about 500 feet into the woods from where you park. Virginia generously let our toddler feed her animals, that was a highlight. The yurt is well stocked with amenities including lanterns, battery back up, drinkable water etc. Plan for mosquitoes. Short driving distance to downtown and nearby parks/playgrounds.

Totally positive experience with our host and his property. Clean, excellent water and electric, covered in case of rain, centrally located with easy access to ferry, downtown and Mount Rainier. Quiet neighborhood surrounded by park, beach and stores. We had a broken appliance in our camper that needed a quick replacement part via mail order and Patrick graciously let us take delivery at the site. Highly recommended!

I loved having this adventure with my three kids! The yurt was so comfortable and well stocked. The air was fresh and it stayed cool even on a 90 degree day. The path from parking to the yurt was fairly long and gave my kids freedom to explore and ride their bikes up and down and I still always knew where they were even though they got to be independent and go on "nature walks." Virginia invited the kids to feed her goats with her, and they were SO TICKLED (literally) and got so much joy!

My family loved riding their bikes here. My two littles had a blast. It was nice to be able to sit and watch them and not have to worry about them getting lost. We fit two trailers here together. One fifth wheel and one travel trailer. My family can't wait to go again. For us, I would recommend trimming some trees for trailers that have solar, but that is about it.
