We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey.
The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups!
Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi.
About the campground:
The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins.
There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊
The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

A traditional outdoor 8' x 8' electric steam/dry sauna is available for guests to enjoy, along with an outdoor shower and two outdoor tubs (hot and cold). The sauna is a new high quality bespoke build with room for a couple people to fully stretch out, or for six or so people to sit comfortably. It features a Finnish Iki heater with seven boxes of rocks that delivers deep heat. Five adjustable air vents and the ability to control the heater provide precise heat, good air flow, and an exceptional user experience.
Thermometer, hygrometer, sand timers, essential oils, mood lighting, and spa towels are provided.

Enjoy our outdoor wellness retreat with private forest camping in a peaceful field surrounded by native landscape. There are three short walk-in campsites for tents, and one site (Cedar Camp) for car camping, or teardrop campers. The property is not suitable for large RVs. Relax in a quiet setting with minimal road noise all while being in a great location only a short drive to Gig Harbor (one of the best small towns in Washington).
The property is home to plenty of birds and deer, and you may even spot an owl during your stay.
Located just minutes from Gig Harbor and Puget Sound, this is a great base for beach days, kayaking on Olalla Bay, or exploring the charming waterfront community of Gig Harbor.
The property offers easy access from Highway 16 and is about 45 minutes from the Hood Canal Bridge, making it a convenient stop on your way to or from the Olympic Peninsula.
Tacoma is just a 30-minute drive away, and Seattle is easily reached by driving or by taking the ferry from Southworth to downtown Seattle or West Seattle. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) is approximately a 40-minute drive away.

I had the most lovely stay here. The hosts are incredibly kind and generous. As a woman traveling alone it meant a lot to me to be received with open arms. Loved this adults only oasis. It's a small grounds with only a handful of spots so it's perfect for those seeking solitude and respite, situated equidistant to two mid-size towns so convenience is never far away. Group of 4 elected strawberry camp, enjoyed its privacy. It's an uphill walk to the shared firepit, be advised may feel a bit steep. We enjoyed making fajitas and smores over the campfire and watching the stars peek out over the full moon. In the morning, listening to the sounds of nature and watching eagles soar overhead was amazing. Porta potty is in very clean condition, near pristine.
These folks put a lot of care and heart into their place and it shows. This was our first go at a car camp adventure and we all enjoyed it. The hosts are warm welcomers and happy to walk you through the site. If you need recommendations for the area, please do ask them! They recommended us a fantastic place to grab lunch.
Sauna was a terrific way to end our stay, alternating between the heat and the chilly fresh air outside was invigorating.
This place is such a gem, especially for solo and couple travelers. Would stay again.

Weekend Trip to Coffee Creek Community & Gardens
My sweetie and I had an amazing time staying here! We needed a quick, relaxing weekend away from Seattle and the Coffee Creek farm and hosts absolutely delivered. My favorite thing was the very cozy loft bed, watching the light pouring in the windows through the trees. It’s a working farm, so there was activity happening nearby, but the cabin felt very private and calm. It was well-stocked with everything we needed to make meals in the cabin, a very efficient wood stove to keep us warm, and full of charm. The nighttime hot tub was lovely, piping hot and surrounded by a chorus of owls, coyotes (at a far distance), and frogs. Mokey was an excellent host - communicative, generous, and welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Weekend Trip to Elfendahl Forest
Elfendahl forest was a magical, lovely, easy getaway from Seattle. The Wanderbus was well equipped and comfortable. The hot tub was a definite plus! Gary maintains the property so it is clean and has all the amenities you need. It’s hard to believe it is completely off-grid. We loved staying with our truck camper and doggos at Alison's place. Alison and her partner were very friendly and welcoming. Their camping space and sauna/spa facilities were beautifully curated, clean and very peaceful. We loved all of the wildlife and bird viewing! Their property felt quiet and remote despite being very conveniently located - grocery, sani dump, hardware and everything else you could need is a short drive away. We were commuting to downtown Tacoma each morning and it only took us about 30 minutes. We'd definitely love to come back and would recommend this space to anyone.

I stayed in the yurt. No cell service when I got here. Luckily ran into some other folks living on the land. They gave me the wifi password(which is also listed on the fridge, as well as some other helpful information). I didn't need much of a rundown from the host, although I think having a tour is something I might do in the future. As soon as I got the internet access I reached out to him and he promptly found me. Composting toilets are certifiably stink free. I was welcomed to the space with an altar, or how you prefer to name, with fruits of the season. There was a pumpkin on top. Rosemary for burning, and other bundles of joy. Shower was delectably roasty toasty. It took me a minute to navigate the kitchen. Drawers and pantries were labeled, but larger items were find it yourself. Sink sponges were clean, which was a big plus. There was also always something going on in the kitchen. Not to say that there was always people, but evidence of people. Someone made apple desserts. Another was brewing indigo dye. There was a place for trashes, various types of recycling and of course, compost, all in the kitchen. I had a great stay and plan on coming back. Time of year I went, it was a little drizzly and chilly in the morning and took full advantage of the stove in the yurt.

This place is a gem! Secluded from city life, but close enough to do what you want. We rented the deck site which was beyond fabulous. Our only concern was trying to get the rig level, as the gravel pad drops off to the side. We figured it out, though. They have a cute shed area with a couple bathrooms on the sides and a sink between. Our stay was wonderful and we hope to go back!

Delightful spot with the coziest ambiance. We love disc golf and it was a treat to watch a movie from the big king size bed. All the details feel very inviting and thought out.

Molly and Jake were very nice and helpful when we pulled in after dark. Woke up in a beautiful meadow truly a quiet lovely place to camp for night on our way up to Whistler. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Hosts were very attentive , welcoming, friendly and receptive to our needs. Listing was accurate and the property is extremely well kept. We even asked to switch campsites and they helped us move to a different site on the property with no problems. Over all great experience.

Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. The sauna was beautifully designed, and it was lovely to have a fire pit. The land was very calm, and we enjoyed staying there! The hosts also had great recommendations, so we found a few spots we loved that we wouldn't have otherwise. Thanks so much!

We really enjoyed staying here! The farm is expansive and there’s lots of areas to roam with the adjacent fields. There’s two clean bathrooms and Mitch and Michelle were more than accommodating. Full hookups at the site and there’s fire pits available that can be brought to your site. It’s easy to get to from the freeway and Millersylvania state park is a few miles away, with nice trails and a small outdoor spot that sells beer and wine and bites. It was very easy to get to from Portland and we’ll be adding this to our list of spots to visit again.

What a VERY pleasant surprise and total getaway! Molly and Jake were wonderful hosts assuring we were settled in and we appreciated so much their opening up their little hidden meadow paradise.
It was a great location for us. Close to our daughter in Olympia - she was able to join us and tent on the site with us. The husband enjoyed the proximity to hiking,biking and a soak in the small hot tub and I savored the quiet to recover from a nasty cold.
All in all it has risen to top our list of most favorite Hip Camps!

Weekend Trip to Under the Cedars - Glamping experience w/Hot Tub
The site was absolutely lovely! Isolated but still accessible if need be for emergencies.
My favorite parts were the ambience of the tent with the twinkle lights which was so relaxing and beautiful to relax in the king size bed. Omg the bed was awesome, making me think I need a new one for myself. 😀
The hot tub num! Lots of room for 4 people to share the tub and the overall site. I went by myself for some disconnect time and it definitely allowed me to disconnect and relax. I brought a small speaker but they provided one in the tent and I found silence was more my friend. Cooking was easy, but if you need a pot you might bring one. Otherwise all the basic needs were there. Great care was taken to create this glamping experience. Thank you!!

The Treehouse is unusual in a charming way. Roy told us about the TH history which causes you to appreciate how they modernized the house while keeping the homes history & spirit. We followed Roy’s & Rebecca’s directive and printed the directions to the Treehouse rather than use GPS which can lead you off course. Not good. We enjoyed the simpler lifestyle the few days we were there. Weather was really pleasant and we dined on the expansive deck. We did miss out on a soak in the hot tube though! Overall it was an adventure!

We had such a great stay! The campsite was super cute, clean, and had everything we needed. It was in a great location, close to Port Angeles and so many beautiful hikes. We also felt really safe staying here as two girls, which made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend staying here! 🤍

I had an amazing time at Fern Camp, the property views are beautiful and it is in a quiet area. I loved stargazing and appreciating the mountain views! Very comfortable as well, the bathroom was so nice to have and the hot tub is a must! I look forward to coming back :)
