This was a great spot for us as van campers with 2 friendly dogs! MUCH quieter than the surrounding State and National Park campgrounds with a lovely view of the Strait. We enjoyed the sauna after a day of playing on the beach in the cool PNW air.

Great private campsite with an awesome view. Would definitely stay there again. The short hike down to the beach is rather treacherous. Not for the faint of heart, but worth it.

Alder Perch

We loved everything about this site! We camped at the site at the top of the hill/property and had ample space to park our sedan, set up chairs, and a separate spot further down for our tent (I think the other sites had this design too but it was a really nice set up). Tons of bugs so prepare for that but deligent bug spray worked just fine! We loved having access to the private beach and seeing sea lions and seals (pretty far out but still visible) popping their heads and being curious about us on the beach. We seemed to have our own portapotty, which was cleaned right as we were setting up camp (we stayed Thursday-Saturday), so that was really nice as well. We will definitely be back to stay at the other campsites!

Eagle Landing

If you want a perfect getaway that is private, peaceful, with incredible views, then Eagle's Nest is your spot! Situated with three private tent spots, it is ideal for groups and family with older kiddos. I spent most my mornings sipping coffee watching the seals on the rocks and the pair of eagles visiting the trees around the camp. The spot itself is rustic and on multiple levels, so if you want your typical NP park flat campsite, this one isn't for you. But if you're up for a little terrain --then book this site--totally worth it. You are living with nature at this location, not taming it, so these sites may not be for everyone but if you want to get away from it all and truly be a part of the woods with a killer view and great beach combing access, I cannot recommend this hip camp enough!

Our campsite was very private and peaceful. It was nice to be out of the way from other campers. Listening to the sound of waves and birds singing was so relaxing. The campsite itself wasn’t very level but we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

End of the world.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at our campsite. Though it lacked a picnic table, more or less due to its limited size. it had a good high standing table. Falling asleep and Waking up to the waves was very much amazing. The camp grounds were clean and well kept. Jared, the host managing the grounds was a great guy. Showed us around and takes a moderate sense of pride in what he does and where he is at. He made sure we had a great stay. I can't express enough how beautiful the scenery is around these parts. It was a blessing.

Great little spot to camp. We stayded in the Beach House Coastal Cabion. It came with 2 chairs, a mattress, pillows and some bedding. I would still recommend bringing a sleeping bag. The site overlooks the beach, with great views of Vancouver Island, and has a fire ring. There is a ladder to make it down the beach. There was a bit of traffic around sunset but nothing crazy. Jared was on host duty and made us feel very welcome, he gave us a great tour of the site.

I liked the space when I arrived. The fire pit was well constructed and the space maintained well. I expected more room for the price ($75/night for a last minute Fri-Sun trip in July) and more privacy. My dog and I ended up enjoying our time regardless, and we didn't need much space for just us. The porta potty situation was as clean as one could imagine, but the Alder space was right next to it so you hear everyone who comes and goes from the toilet, at all hours. It was also really busy with people coming in very late to the camp Friday night, so sleep was minimal. The host is really nice and attentive to your needs. I prefer more privacy when I camp, but I know some people who will really appreciate the check ins. There is a general store about 36 minutes away if you forget anything while camping, and they have firewood for $5 a bundle if you need that. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and I really liked hearing the sounds of the waves.

We stayed two nights at the End of the World site. It’s was absolutely lovely! The whole PRSRV was perfect. Well maintained and beautiful views. We loved going to sleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to the sound of the birds. Just the right amount of tree cover. The bathrooms are portable toilets but were clean and well maintained. The host was great, nice and helpful. We will return for sure!

Sauna DAY Camp Sesh 12p-3p (no overnight)

Third year back and we just love this little piece of heaven on earth. Beach access, the waves crashing all night, and the wet sauna are just a few highlights. Very close to some of our favorite places, like Crescent Lake and Salt Creek Recreation Area.

We loved camping here! The view was amazing as well as the little walk to the beach. You can tell the owners put a lot of love into each of the sites. Justin, the host was very available and stopped to check on us multiple times while we were there. We managed to fit our giant six person tent on the tent pad even though it was a little uneven. Would definitely camp here again.

★★★★★ I stayed one night at PRSRV Strait Overlook, and I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. The campsite is tucked among mature trees and lush vegetation, giving it a wonderful sense of privacy without blocking the beautiful view of the water. I fell asleep listening to the waves gently hitting the shoreline and woke up to birds welcoming the morning. It was incredibly peaceful. The portable restrooms were spotless and much cleaner than I expected for a campground. When I arrived, Jared greeted me with a warm welcome, showed me around the property, and made sure I knew where everything was. Throughout my stay he checked in from time to time to see if I needed anything, which made the experience feel especially welcoming. I also tried the sauna, and it was fantastic. There’s something special about spending the day outdoors and then stepping into a hot sauna. I can only imagine how incredible that would be during the cooler months. I took the stairs down to the shoreline (there’s a short ladder at the very end), and the views were breathtaking. With so few people around, it felt like stepping back in time. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic place to disconnect and enjoy nature, I highly recommend PRSRV Strait Overlook. I’ll definitely be back—and next time, I’ll be staying longer.

We will absolutely be returning to this gorgeous site. It was quiet and peaceful with easy access to all the beauty of the far peninsula. Despite being 30 feet from another camp site we never heard anyone else. We woke up to the crash of the waves in the strait and the chirping of the birds. Definitely check out the tide flats your second morning there there were so many little critters waiting to say hi. The amenities were wonderful, my partner loved the sauna right by our campsite.

A beautiful site. What a view. And what a glorious secluded beach, especially at low tide. There was no one else camped at the other sites so our time there was very private. The road down to the site is very much as advertised… very very steep! About as challenging as I feel comfortable in our 22 foot van. But in the end very worth it. Drive boldly and enjoy

I loved my experience tent camping. I was able to disconnect and breathe, I had the best sleep hearing the sound of the waves in the background. I stayed at the Forest Den and it was perfect. I highly recommend getting the sauna. Thank you!

End of the world

The campsite is gorgeous! You really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. It looks like he's got a lot of new projects he is working on as well to add to the property. Some things to note is you have to haul your trash away, so be prepared for that. There are slugs everywhere, but they were pretty friendly, and the toilets are porta potties but that's expected with dry camping. The walk to the campsite was pretty steep on a tiny path it is not ada friendly, but very doable for the average person. The added walk also makes you feel like you're in your own world, fellow campers can be heard but not well. Overall it was a great experience and a relaxing place to reset in nature.
