We are located on a greenbelt off a dead end street. Enjoy the view of the city lights right outside your van or say hi to our two friendly goats. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, this IS a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, but don’t bop your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows. Everything is washed with free and clear detergent for sensitivities.
We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove, coffee supplies (keurig pods,pour over coffee with creamer/sugar), wine opener, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors.
One block away is Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. A mile north, explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. 2 blocks south is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has breweries, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, and plenty of coffee shops/restaurants.

There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am.

The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

Tuck into your private campsite amongst the trees with sweeping field and farm views. Sites are spaced apart from eachother, nestled along a forested tree line. These tent sites are about a 300ft walk from the parking lot, and vehicles can not access the sites. Each site offers a picnic table and fire pit.
*Please pay attention to the fact that these are walk-in sites, and you'll be hauling your camping items from the parking area over uneven ground. We provide a cart to help tote your items, if needed. Pack accordingly*
There is a communal central deck for camper's use, with a sink, propane stove, some cooking utensils, power outlet and a hose bib. A communal port-a-potty is available to campers.
The working farm fields are not open to campers, but can be admired as a backdrop. Wave hi to any farmers you see out there working! A You-Pick flower patch and farm stand at the entrance of the property are open for frolicking, picture-taking and flower-picking seasonally.
You'll see bald eagles, hear owls and watch deer pass through your camp. But you are only about a 5-10 min walk from town! This does mean you'll often hear music from events on weekend evenings, and plane traffic does fly overhead. Vashon is quiet and full of nature, but you're not out in the middle of nowhere! We hope you enjoy all that there is to do here, and create some great stories :)

Bike, kayak or hike into this spectacular park on Maury Island, where your tent campsite near the beach awaits. You can not drive a car to your site, pack accordingly.
Mount Rainier peaks out on sunny days, madrona trees branch overhead, while otters and bald eagles put on a show.
*please read carefully* There is a 3/4 mile walk down a gravel service road from the parking lot, with an average grade of 8%. Pack accordingly, you’ll be walking in! Or plan to bike or paddle in for closer access.
Camping is open May through October.
Please pack-in and pack-out. Fire is prohibited. Amenities include use of the picnic shelter, port-a-potty bathrooms, picnic tables near the campsites and a kayak/paddleboard storage rack off of the beach trail. This campground is located within Maury Island Marine Park, on the east side of Maury Island, a peninsula of Vashon Island. One of the largest undeveloped properties located directly on Puget Sound with more than 1 mile of shoreline, the park provides stunning views of the East Passage, Mount Rainier and the Cascade Mountains. The site had significance for early Native Americans and is referenced in a legend about Snake People who arrived from the mainland as part of war party.
The park contains rare stands of Pacific Madrone, a salt marsh, eelgrass beds and significant fish and wildlife habitat for such species as great blue herons, bald eagles, kingfishers, chinook salmon, orca, and bull trout.
Trail length within the park: 3 miles (plus .75 mile gravel maintenance road to the shoreline accessible to non-motorized vehicles only).

Manchester State Park features a beach, sand dunes, and flat grasslands, with nearly 18,000 feet of ocean frontage. The beach line curves gently to form a "catch basin" for sea debris, which accounts for the volume of driftwood found here. Five miles of gentle, sandy beach stretches southward towards the Point Arena Lighthouse.
One of the main attractions is the excellent steelhead fishing in the park’s two streams, Brush Creek and Alder Creek. Parking is conveniently situated a couple of blocks away, and the site is accessible via a walk-in/walk-out path connected to the East Lake Sammamish Trail.
The terrain boasts a slightly sloped, rocky shoreline, providing direct no-bank access to the water for activities such as swimming, paddle-boarding, boating, fishing, and sunbathing. Please be aware that the site does not have utilities or hook-ups, embracing a rustic getaway experience.
It can accommodate two tents and up 4 adults or up to 6 people with children comfortably.
On-site amenities include a firepit, picnic table, trash can, sun umbrellas, camp chairs, Adirondack chairs, and floaties for your enjoyment. Additionally, a honeybucket is available in the parking lot for your convenience.
Please note that the boat lift and on-site cabana are not available for camper use. There is no electricity so please be prepared to bring your own lighting. (There is a set of string party lights at the site that utilize solar power and click on at dusk automatically). Various chairs, paddle boards, tents and other items shown in images may belong to guests and are not all included in the rental. Please inquire if you have any questions regarding specifics of what is included.
No parties, group events or gatherings. Bookings are limited to small groups and single family camping trips. The maximum guest count for the site is 6 people including children or 4 adults. All guests (day or night) must be included in the reservation headcount.
Parking is conveniently located along East Lake Sammamish Pkwy in the Inglewood Hill Parking Lot, and the site is accessed a couple of blocks away via a staircase along the E Lk Sammamish Pkwy Trail.
We recommend bringing a cart or folding wagon to haul gear from the lot to the site if you’re not packing light.
**The structure in the image is a cabana currently being used for storage of personal family belongings. No one will be accessing or staying in the structure during your stay.
There is a security camera installed on site. This camera is not monitored during guest stays but is used to monitor the property for security purposes when there are no current or active reservations.
There is a family that keeps their boat on the lift out in front of the property, who may access their boat from time to time, and uses the South end of the site for access. This should be minimally disruptive, if at all, as they only use a small portion of the site for ingress/egress to their boat.
Please note that Lake Sammamish is located in an urban area. This is not a remote lake or location, and as such, there are frequent boaters on the lake, active recreation on the water, and neighboring properties that occasionally have occupants, as well as the potential associated noise that comes with these things. Unfortunately, we cannot predict or control these things. That said, the vast majority of mornings at the site are very quiet and peaceful.
You may notice small pieces of glass on the beach. These are beach glass— hundreds of them wash up every winter. We pick up the ones we spot but they’re hard to see a lot of times. Either way they’re almost always dull as they’ve been worn down by the water and years of being washed against the rocks. **

My neighbor has two outdoor dogs, so if you have pets it’s important to manage them to keep barking to a minimum.
I work as a metal artist out of my garage studio. Welding is not noisy but, grinding and cutting can be. I limit it to 9-8pm, but can easily shift to other quiet tasks if you ask.

I loved tent camping on Tara’s land. It was conveniently located to restaurants and shops. We came in on bikes and Vashon is very hilly island! It was nice that campus the tent platform, water spigot, and porter potty. Also enjoyed the family of deer grazing next to camp.

A great spot in Vashon! So close to town! The barn and bathrooms here are wonderful and a friendly host! Unfortunately we had loud neighbors and barking dogs that were parked so close but we’d come again and try to park farther away next time.

Steven was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. His talent as a metal artist is evident throughout the property, with unique pieces that add so much character and make the space feel truly one of a kind.
The full hookups were convenient, the site was easy to find, and was peaceful and quiet overnight. Being near the water meant there was a wonderful breeze, making for a comfortable night's sleep in the van.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxing, unique place to stay!

Totally positive experience with our host and his property. Clean, excellent water and electric, covered in case of rain, centrally located with easy access to ferry, downtown and Mount Rainier. Quiet neighborhood surrounded by park, beach and stores. We had a broken appliance in our camper that needed a quick replacement part via mail order and Patrick graciously let us take delivery at the site. Highly recommended!

The camp spot was very close and convenient to town in a quiet neighborhood. The port-o-potty was spotless! And I loved the baby dear.
There was a lot of nice trees and because the camp spot was down in a little nook there was adequate privacy from the neighborhood.

What a beautiful, convenient but secluded spot! Incredible, giant trees, and several perfectly kept campsites. We did the steep little hike down to the creek and had fun with the kids. This was a perfect weekend spot for us.

Absolutely adorable place. Perfect for a quick getaway, the directions were clear and it was a super private feeling. It was our first time taking our kids and dog camping and it was perfect. Highly recommend!
There is a short walk to the campsite but it’s 30 seconds really, nothing crazy at all.
