Great lil overnight getaway for me n the pup not far from Richmond. Was able to book day of for some last minute peace. The property was beautiful and quiet both during sunset and sunrise. Evie and her partner helped lead me into the site and offered to be around if need be. My dog loved the attention and love they gave her upon meeting! Definitely would recommend!

Stuart's Corner was great for our needs! We have 3 larger dogs and it can be challenging to wrangle them on leashes for potty breaks. The large fenced-in yard was wonderful! We were in town for a wedding and it was a quick trip, so we didn't have much time to enjoy the site, but it would be great for stargazing! Mary was super responsive and helpful. It's on my list to return if we're headed that way again!

This was my second visit and. It has been very pleasant. The place is isolated but as all the amenities described. The site is clean. The site is spacious, there is a trail to get to the site and. I saw deer and wildlife. The check in was done at night and the host was very responsive. A phone call quickly put me on the right location. The place is secluded, if you want to see the sky this is one of the best places in the area if you’re in the 757. I wanted to see the stars but it was cloudy. I still had a great time. Highly recommend

You have a beautiful view of a wide-open field surrounded by trees from the comfort of a shaded campsite in the woods. Easily accessible by 2WD with a turnaround loop and an additional exit. On site features a brand-new full size picnic table with trash bin nearby. Take a walk by the open field for exercise and then retreat to the campsite for rest. I just enjoyed a solo trip there and camped out in my tent. It was a very hot day and the shelter of the trees kept me cool. Nice place, would recommend.

This was my second stay at Cornerstone. The hosts are always so nice and accommodating. They always make sure you have everything you need and then allow you to enjoy their beautiful property in peace. My first stay was a little over a year ago at camp Redfish. This time was at one of their new sites, Camp Crowsnest. Crowsnest is in a different field so you have the whole field to yourself, which is nice. They’ve also added another new site since the last time I stayed there, Camp Flounder, which is a nice spot carved into the woods. They are in the process of building a little cabin at Camp Redfish. That will be a nice option for people once it is completed. I always really enjoy my time here. It’s hard to beat the quiet and seclusion. I would definitely recommend any of their sites if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to relax and connect with nature.

Dwayne was great! Very kind and accommodating. He offered me herbs from his garden, and even eggs from his chickens for breakfast! The site was great for hammocking, and he had a large tent already setup that I used to stash gear for the night. For access to RVA this is a great spot!

Nice quiet, clean, spacious spot on the edge of one of their farm fields. Picnic table and fire pit set up there for campers to use. It was absolutely perfect for someone like me driving down south needing a last minute spot to pitch a tent for the night, in order to catch some shut eye before hitting the toad again at 6am.

We had a great stay at Stewart's Corner. This was a convenient, easy to find place with a great spot near the garage to plug in our fifth-wheel and run water with our hose and one we borrowed from our host, Mary. She left us treats for a campfire which we appreciate. The dogs absolutely loved the dog run (very large, securely fenced in yard). A great stay!

I brought bug spray, but they were too bad. Except, I did find a tick on me. So be careful. Nothing can be done about that. I WILL be back to the fabulous spot. Our facilities are private and we only rent to one or 2 guests at a time. You can glamp in a trailer, or car camp in a nice campground with power and water or you can go primitive and pack in. All spaces include access to our classical 11 circuit labyrinth and backyard gardens where you can enjoy zen rock garden and other contemplative nature crafts. There are some great extra's here as well including an outdoor jacuzzi and indoor infrared sauna and massage chair. These spa features are another great way to get your zen on here. I offer Forest Bathing and individual retreat support sessions, an quarterly sweat lodge and also vision quest support if people would like to experience a solo nature immersion feast.

Accessible by car or canoe, East End at Seven Islands provides endless fun for the whole family, including your well behaved off-leash dogs. When you arrive take a cooling dip in a quiet “river pool”, relax on your private beach, or see if the fish are biting. Let your kids experience the best the river has to offer by exploring the shallows for crayfish, chasing minnows, or watching for Bald Eagles patrolling the river. Your site is approximately 2 acres, so you will have your choice of where to pitch a tent or place your camper or trailer. Spend your nights stargazing, enjoying a campfire (remember to bring s’mores ingredients), or fishing for catfish. This is an ideal family-oriented campsite about an hour NW of Richmond. If you are coming into Richmond for a Brown's Island event we are a five minute Uber to an access point using the Potterfield walking bridge (it's a beautiful walk across the James River to the island). Each campsite includes 3 level spots to pitch tents (see dimensions below), and a connected space to park one car, van or small trailer. The large parking space can be used as a fourth tent footprint if needed. There are additional parking spaces. Each site has a fire pit (with firewood on site), a grate to grill over the fire, a picnic table, and a hammock. There is a shared outbuilding with a composting toilet, hand washing sink, outdoor shower (solar warmed), and space to change privately.  Campsite W ~  Tent footprints: 1) 10' x 12' 2) 10' x 13' 3) 9' x 10' Campsite E ~ Tent footprints: 1) 15'x16' 2) 10' x 15' 3) 9' x 10' **Pricing is based on groups of up to four adults or two adults with children. For groups of five to seven adults there is an additional charge of $10 person per day. For groups of eight or more we suggest you reserve both sites and have the entire camp to yourselves. Campsites W and E are about 80' apart. Both are around 100' to the creek. The spots can accommodate a total length (towing vehicle plus trailer) of up to 35 ft. There is an outdoor spigot with potable water and hoses for clean up. The woodlands and creek adjacent to the campsites have trails that are accessible to the public. You and your furry friends are welcome to use these paths, but know that others may be using them too. Richmond has so much to offer and we are just a hop, skip, and a jump to many wonderful attractions - kayak or sunbathe on the James River, walk or bike on trails around the city, rock climb, dine, imbibe.
