Hello! We are family farm mainly focused on Nigerian Dwarf and Mini-Nubian goats, Kunekune pigs, and silkie chickens! We also have a couple cows, peacocks, alpaca, ducks, quail, pigeons, sheep, mini equine, and rabbits. We can offer as much or as little farm experience as you’d like! Lend us a hand or book baby goat cuddling and sit in the pasture in a sea of friendly goats!! Baby goat cuddling and farm tours can be added on for an extra fee, check our extras! We usually get up early and do our farm chores, and depending on the time of year we could be bottle feeding baby goats or calves, delivering baby goats, or working on outdoor farm projects. Our home was built in 1864 and our barn is original! Our property is not far from Montpelier, the home of our 4th president, and about an hour from Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. We love wine tasting in Charlottesville, and taking day trips to Shenandoah National Park. We are 45 minutes from Fredericksburg, 28 minutes from Culpeper, and 20 minutes from Lake Anna. Send us a message and learn more about all we have to offer!

We had so much fun staying here on the farm! I expected some pigs/goats but we met so many animals and got to wander around during our stay and meet baby cows, the sweetest barn cat, lots of ducks and chickens. The tent spot was nice and as pictured/described, as was the outhouse. So cool sleeping next to the animals and waking up with them right by the tent!

Incredible experience on the farm!
The bus was so fun to stay in, very cozy. There was a fire pit right outside and Laura provided firewood for no charge. The stay was nice, but the farm was absolutely incredible! At night, fireflies lit up across the entire field we were next to, and the starry night sky is crystal clear. Laura also let us help in feeding her baby goats as well as her baby calf. We got to help out in other ways as well, and even got to see a piglet be born! (hey buster!). Everyone we met on the farm was very welcoming and kind. We absolutely loved our stay, and look forward to staying there again.

A fun farm stay!
We loved our stay at Laura’s gorgeous farm! The goat cuddling was absolutely incredible. Still on cloud nine from those sweet angels! Laura and her fiancé Jacob were both friendly and kind too! Love that they provided wood for a fire too. We had such a lovely stay!

Great for families with kids
We had a great time tent camping at Laura's farm with our two young kids. In addition to all of the farm animals, our kids also had a great time playing on the play equipment. The area is far enough away from the road and is open enough that we were able to let the kids free range play while we got all the camping stuff set up. The day we stayed was exceptionally windy and we had a difficult time pitching our tent, but finally found the area behind the garage to be the most protected area. The goats that shared the area beside where we were staying were friendly and came up to visit often. If you feel something pawing at your feet in the middle of the night, don't worry, it's just a very friendly the barn cat. The outhouse was awesome, very clean and no smell. We had a tour of the farm the next morning and our kids got to brush a mini pony and pet baby lambs. Although we didn't stay in the converted bus, I did take a look at it, and it was really cool! Would have been a relaxing place to stay on a rainy day. We opted to go out to get our morning latte fix instead of brewing something at the campsite--highly recommend The Witches Brew which is about 15 minutes away from the property.

Skoolie on the Farm
A must stay! This is the cutest little bus camping experience. The hosts are very pleasant and have created a wonderful place on their farm. We got to walk around and meet many different animals and had a lovely evening with a fire and some star gazing. Even in the winter we were able to keep warm and comfortable in the skoolie. I would absolutely come back here!

Best farm experience
One of the best stays I have ever had! It's so peaceful and interacting with animals was great! I was lucky enough to feed a baby cow!! 😃 Laura is absolutely amazing! Friendly, accommodating and very knowledge! She took me on a hands on tour in the farm per my request She also allowed me to taste some of the farm products like cheese and milk Definitely going back! One thing to note, the Skoolie doesn't have a fridge so if you are bringing food that needs to be refrigerated, bring an ice box with you

Beautiful small farm surrounded by land. Quiet enough. Cool animals, but beware of the roosters early in the AM! Perfect area for a short trip out of Nova and Laura was so kind and generous! Come visit!

Laura’s renovated bus was PERFECT for a campers “get away.” She provided water for us and even brought us some of their own personal firewood as it had rained that day! She was super attentive and we enjoyed holding baby goats and exploring the farm!

Don't forget to see the baby goats!
My 10YO son and I had so much fun staying on Laura's farm over Father's Day weekend. The Skoolie was cute and the bed was comfy for 2. I didn't see any screens on the bus windows but it was no big deal because it was too cool overnight to leave the windows open anyway. There's electricity in the bus and it was parked right outside the very clean latrine. There was everything inside to make breakfast if we had needed it, (we brought a cooler of food and ate outside at a picnic table) but we got some farm fresh eggs to go. My son and I spent an hour or so wandering around the farm to see all the different animals and chatting with Laura while we held the cutest baby goats. We would 100% stay there again.

My friends and I all loved camping on Laura’s farm! Just what the doctor ordered, wish we could’ve stayed another night. We had a wonderful time meeting the baby goats and pigs, the ground was flat, and the fire drum worked great. Our hosts were incredibly kind. Oh and the outhouse was very clean, not smelly at all, and even quite cute. 10/10

We had such a wonderful time visiting Laura’s farm and staying in the Skoolie. We were able to spend lots of time with the animals, including 2 sweet calves, lots of baby goats, chickens, ducks and pigs. Laura was an incredibly welcoming host and made sure that everything was ready for us upon arrival. The Skoolie was very private and comfortable and was just what we needed to relax and unplug. My teenager was ready to move in! We would highly recommend a visit to this unique Hipcamp.

Stars and Skoolies
Had a great time staying at the Skoolie, it was really nice to get a taste of bus life for a weekend. The stars were out and very clear, the goats we’re friendly and the mountains were only a short drive away. Laura was a very accommodating host she left out kindling and fire wood to help us get our fire started.

The perfect getaway!
Skoolie was absolutely perfect! My partner and I stayed on the farm for a night after a day of hiking in Shenandoah. Skoolie was cute and very comfortable. Equipped with anything you needed (hot plate, dishware, outlets, lights, space heater). Laura was such a lovely host! She gave us a private tour of the farm. We got to hold baby goats, a pig and pet the cows! Don't miss out on the farm fresh eggs. 10/10 recommend.

Unique and Charming!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Skoolie on the Farm after attending my sister’s wedding and it was the perfect way to end a hectic weekend! The bus is so cute and cozy! It was a bit chilly, but the heater helped and we brought extra blankets. After we got settled in we were able to get an amazing view of the stars, I’ve never seen so many at once before! Laura was a great host, she has the Skoolie set up with everything you need and was so friendly! We especially appreciated the little basket of bottled water! Exploring the farm in the morning and getting to hold and pet a sweet baby goat was the highlight of our weekend! Thank you for helping make our weekend away together one we will never forget!
