A small, shed cottage turned into a room with a full-sized bed and mini fridge with a microwave, toaster, and coffee machine, a table with chairs to eat at. Ac for the summer and a heater for the cooler days. I am still adding on and bringing new things to the cottage. I will have complimentary drinks and snacks on your arrival.

We are a Nature Retreat bordering Nature Conservancy land along a tributary and up and down the Rappahannock River. You can hike along the stream down to the river and up and down the river. You can fish and float the river. There are no trails so a moderate level of fitness and comfort in the forest is needed.
You can follow the water ways but it is wilderness. Camping there is primitive but available or you can camp or glamp at Earthwalk Ways Retreat. We are also adjacent to a 50 acre farm on the other side of the creek that is available for hiking. There is a reservoir nearby as well.
We are in the midst of the suburbs not far from Fredericksburg, which has some great historic and community places of interest.

Sitting atop our charming grassy bowl, the Little Farmhouse invites you to unwind on its beautiful wraparound porch, complete with rocking chairs perfect for sipping your morning coffee as the sun rises over the hills. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, a queen bed upstairs, a twin trundle downstairs, and a cozy living room—offering all the comforts of home.
Our private 6-acre lake, fondly named Ursula’s Underwater Universe, is home to a variety of fish, including largemouth bass. A swimming platform floating over the deep area is perfect for resting or diving. Kayaks are available for free, and toilets and showers are conveniently located next to the lake.
By the lake and its small sandy beach, the Cabana is a serene escape. Comfortable patio furniture invites midday snoozes, cozy reading time, or family gatherings. It's also a great spot to keep an eye on your family’s lake activities or watch farm residents like turtles and the many varieties of birds, including great blue herons.
Also by the lake is a screened patio, our “Lilly Pad”, featuring lounging and dining areas—all with breathtaking views of our picturesque lake.

The house was so cute a cozy. It is a real house with electricity, internet, TV, dvd player, and Netflix, a full kitchen, and the bathroom is right beside the upstairs bedroom. The view from the bed in the morning was a beautiful huge tree in the field. Down the hill is a very large pond. I can see a float and canoes that would be great in the summer. There is a huge pavilion beside the lake with couches, a long table, chairs, a grill, and a refrigerator. There are two outside RV toilet stalls at the lake too. When I drove in I saw horses in a field and a little donkey running around, playing in a a pen. I stopped and watched. Close to the house they have goats in a pen and they wanted me to pat them. The owner, Maria, told me I could. She also has a pig and chickens. I enjoyed the solitude but this place would be wonderful for a family outing or corporate retreat. I forgot a few things, so Maria directed me to a nearby Walmart in Tappahannock. I highly recommend a stay at Maria's farm.

We absolutely loved our stay at this Hipcamp spot last week! It was the perfect retreat—so cute and cozy, and truly had all the amenities a weary traveler could possibly need.
I was especially impressed by how conscientious and thoughtful the host was throughout our stay. For instance, the space was efficiently designed with plenty of hooks for hanging items, which is essential in a small space. We were also very grateful that she provided snacks and small bites to eat after our long drive, and she was incredibly communicative and fast at responding to any questions we had.
As a pet owner, I was also appreciative that the space was pet-friendly, allowing my dog, Biscuit, to join us on the trip. I sincerely hope to stay again sometime soon, perhaps when the weather is a bit nicer! Highly recommend this wonderful spot.

This was such a cool skoolie! I surprised my son with an "adventure" on our way home from FL. This was a hit! Cozy. Nice land. I saw a family of 11 deer! And my little dog loved the nature walk. Nice warm bathroom at the house. Private, clean and warm.
I think we loved the little wood-burning stove the best! My son (22) slept in the bedroom which was like a quiet cocoon. I slept on the pullout couch which was way bigger than I expected and mostly comfortable. Everything was easy to use, especially with the handy "welcome" booklet. I would definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Creekside Cool Bus
it was a pleasure to camp at the creekside cool bus! the whole experience came with ease, starting with great communication from chloe, the skoolie provided everything we needed (& more) for a cozy retreat into nature. there was plenty to explore, a gnome lined walking trail along the creek and a short drive to the state park. the campsite is isolated enough to have your own privacy but close enough to access the full bathroom. it really was the perfect place for reconnection with each other and nature.

Great site, quiet and spacious, beautiful views of the mountains. Clean restroom/shower facilities conveniently located near tent. Tent setup was very comfortable with a bed, a/c, grill, table. Quiet, and loved having the horses nearby. Glad that there was a fridge to keep perishables, and other supplies like plates, etc. Ladies room was awesome.

This is a unique place to stay with lots to do all around it. The bus was well equipped with everything you need to enjoy a peaceful quiet vacation or long weekend. This is a beautiful farm. The setting was very peaceful. It was really cool having access to a full kitchen within just a few steps. The showers and restrooms were clean and convenient! As it ended up being near record breaking temps during our stay- our host Tina had the AC running in the tent, ahead of our arrival to help cool it down a bit. We look forward to visiting Wolftrap Farm during the fall season!

4 nights at Fire Tower Family Farm
I can't say enough about this wonderful experience in Sharon's Winnebago. It has been retired on their property on a quiet road with plenty of bird life in addition to the chickens and goats who live there. Their 5 dogs will greet you with furry smiles and try to pull you into their yard with them to cuddle. Sharon and Leland were super, super friendly and helpful. The "cabin" is very well appointed with all you need for cooking and relaxing. I was there with 2 adult friends and we all slept comfortably after busy days in Williamsburg and Jamestown, both about a half hour away. I will look for a reason to return!
