Tucked away in Virginia’s backcountry, our secluded 60-acre farm offers something for everyone: a private 6-acre lake, wooded trails, a friendly animal pen, screened-in patio and dining, and a full-sized performing stage. Please let us welcome you to the Little Farmhouse at Fox Moon Farm. Sitting atop our charming grassy bowl, the Little Farmhouse invites you to unwind on its beautiful wraparound porch, complete with rocking chairs perfect for sipping your morning coffee as the sun rises over the hills. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, a queen bed upstairs, a twin trundle downstairs, and a cozy living room—offering all the comforts of home. Our private 6-acre lake, fondly named Ursula’s Underwater Universe, is home to a variety of fish, including largemouth bass. A swimming platform floating over the deep area is perfect for resting or diving. Kayaks are available for free, and toilets and showers are conveniently located next to the lake. By the lake and its small sandy beach, the Cabana is a serene escape. Comfortable patio furniture invites midday snoozes, cozy reading time, or family gatherings. It's also a great spot to keep an eye on your family’s lake activities or watch farm residents like turtles and the many varieties of birds, including great blue herons. Also by the lake is a screened patio, our “Lilly Pad”, featuring lounging and dining areas—all with breathtaking views of our picturesque lake. Mom’s Stage is a magical hub where music, art, and community come alive. Nestled in the heart of our expansive grassy field, this full-sized performing stage is a sanctuary for expression, laughter, and connection. Interested in a larger group event? Please inquire! As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit for evening bonfires, warm conversations, laughter, and the joy of shared meals—whether it’s a simple dinner or a tasty marshmallow roast. Private lake with space for all

Little Farm House

We can't recommend the Farmhouse enough!!! A refreshing swimming lake and nature all to ourselves. Peaceful but with all the creature comforts of a soft bed, full kitchen, and WiFi :) The space is large enough that everyone could do what they wanted. We fed the goats, gathered some eggs, hiked the woods, paddled and swam in the lake, then we had drinks in the screened in patio. Bug free! We did not regret a second of our visit.

Great get away on a farm by a lake.

Little Farm House

The house was so cute a cozy. It is a real house with electricity, internet, TV, dvd player, and Netflix, a full kitchen, and the bathroom is right beside the upstairs bedroom. The view from the bed in the morning was a beautiful huge tree in the field. Down the hill is a very large pond. I can see a float and canoes that would be great in the summer. There is a huge pavilion beside the lake with couches, a long table, chairs, a grill, and a refrigerator. There are two outside RV toilet stalls at the lake too. When I drove in I saw horses in a field and a little donkey running around, playing in a a pen. I stopped and watched. Close to the house they have goats in a pen and they wanted me to pat them. The owner, Maria, told me I could. She also has a pig and chickens. I enjoyed the solitude but this place would be wonderful for a family outing or corporate retreat. I forgot a few things, so Maria directed me to a nearby Walmart in Tappahannock. I highly recommend a stay at Maria's farm.
