I live on the land where there is 3 acers and some woods to burn fire also a nice big swimming pool and goats and chickens to pet and feed. A small, shed cottage turned into a room with a full-sized bed and mini fridge with a microwave, toaster, and coffee machine, a table with chairs to eat at. Ac for the summer and a heater for the cooler days. I am still adding on and bringing new things to the cottage. I will have complimentary drinks and snacks on your arrival. Portions of the historic Three Chopt Trail, a Native American trail, run through a large portion of the county. The trail was marked by three hatchet chops in trees to show the way. The modern-day U.S. Route 250 roughly follows this route from Richmond to Charlottesville. Learn more about this land: In the heartland of Goochland where you can see deer from far and wide. Come pitch a tent in this gorgeous three acres of lush green Forestry surrounded and nature. Start your day listening to birds chirping, with the smell of fresh Virginia Air. Not too far at the shops from Short Pump Mall, we're dining and Cinema is superb. Only 30 minutes away from Charlottesville world's famous Carter's Mountain orchard, and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello mansion. Theres also a 15 min away grocery store Food Lion, Chinese restaurant a Subway or Hardee's a gas station. Hi, I have 3 acres of land I do live on my land. I have a goats and chickens you can walk up and see. Along the woods are blackberries in the months of June and July your more than welcome to pick. There's also a park down the road 8 mins called Leakes Mill Park it's 176 acres for bike trails with a playground and soccer field. And if you're looking for a park with playground and a dog run and a baseball field and walking trails that one is about 15 minutes down the road and it's called Hidden Rock Park.In the heartland of Goochland where you can see deer and foxes from far and wide. There's also a park down the road 8 mins called Leakes Mill Park it's 176 acres for bike trails with a playground and soccer field. And if you're looking for a park with a playground and a dog run and a baseball field and walking trails That's about 15 minutes down the road and it's called Hidden Rock Park. I have 3 acres of land *I do live on my land. I You're more than welcome to access the swimming pool in the spring and summer time it will be closed in fall and winter. Hot tub will be coming soon! I have goats and chickens that you can walk up and pet. Along the woods are blackberries that bloom from june to July your more then welcome to pick them. I have dogs that stay in a fenced area when let outside. If you need anything just message me. Also there is a road called salmontown road if you're interested in a walk. When you walk out the driveway to the road you make a right and the road is about 100 ft down to your right. It's a mile back road that you can walk. It is very gorgeous and beautiful scenery. Please enjoy your stay

My granddaughter, pup and I really enjoyed our stay at Sarah's Cottage. It was very clean and cute. We had full access to the pool and back area of her property. There is a little reading room with some books as well as games that we had the pleasure of playing. There were plenty of floats to choose from and an area to sit out of the sun. My granddaughter and pup really enjoyed visiting with the goats and chickens on property. Sarah was a great host and checked in on us and responded quickly through messaging. I would definitely consider returning again but in cooler temps the next time. My little tribe and I really enjoyed our time on her little farm. ❤️

Very clean, tons of extras, it's hard to picture the layout with just photos but it was really great. The night lights are a lot of fun too! Just enough to get around but not give you night blindness. Our two dogs also had a great time seeing chickens and goats!

Sarah was a wonderful host and had everything ready for us. Her attention to detail with the cabin made the stay fabulous. Cabin was stocked with snacks and goodies. Appliances such as Kuerig, toaster, microwave and fridge were useful for us. The bed slept well too. AC and heater as needed. A highlight was seeing the baby goat, goat family and beautiful hens and roosters! We also enjoyed a swim in the pool. Floats were nice to have. My husband has myotonic dystrophy but everything was accessible as he brought necessary adaptive devices. The compost toilet and gas shower were nice. Good to see appreciation for the environment. The property is well kept. I really liked the wooded area with fire pit and the cozy reading room. Sarah has a nice touch for interior design as well. We will be returning here for a longer stay and hope to bring friends. Looking forward to the hot tub

We absolutely loved our stay at this Hipcamp spot last week! It was the perfect retreat—so cute and cozy, and truly had all the amenities a weary traveler could possibly need. I was especially impressed by how conscientious and thoughtful the host was throughout our stay. For instance, the space was efficiently designed with plenty of hooks for hanging items, which is essential in a small space. We were also very grateful that she provided snacks and small bites to eat after our long drive, and she was incredibly communicative and fast at responding to any questions we had. As a pet owner, I was also appreciative that the space was pet-friendly, allowing my dog, Biscuit, to join us on the trip. I sincerely hope to stay again sometime soon, perhaps when the weather is a bit nicer! Highly recommend this wonderful spot.

The campsite at Sarah’s farm is a sanctuary in Virginia. Not only is it a perfect setup for a scenic getaway, the hospitality that Sarah provided made the trip so pleasant and memorable.

It was a beautiful site. The views were amazing. Kids enjoyed feeding the farm animals. Sarah reserved some fresh eggs from her farm for us to purchase. There are some on and off hunting dog barking out in a distance, which was the only thing that we didn’t like. Would definitely visit again. Sarah was awesome and very accommodating.

Can’t say great things about this spot! So quiet/peaceful and I got to pet goats! The weather was perfect so I got to enjoy the pool for a bit and sleep under the stars — would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great spot just outside of Richmond!

I loved my stay here! The site had everything I needed and more. I especially loved the animals and having access to the pool. I was able to pitch my tent in a tucked away corner of the yard and it felt very peaceful and quiet (except for some barking dogs nearby, but what can you do). Saw a couple shooting stars. I would come back!

It was very easy to find and get set up at this site. It was just a quick overnight for me, no fuss, no muss, with a nice, clean bathroom setup, pool, goats and chickens... I had a quick question and the host responded very promptly. If we're back again next year for the same event I'll be sure to visit again!

Really beautiful property with lots to explore. The space accommodated my camper well and Sarah was very helpful getting settled in. There are lots of fun activities for kiddos and the pool is a big bonus.

Adorable setup: best for tent camps

Sarah has a beautiful spot with an adorable setup. She is kind and welcoming and communicative. She kindly offered us fresh eggs from her chickens. We did however only stay one night; the tent camping area is very private, and further from the house - but it’s important to note that the RV hookup is on the side of the house and to note that children are coming and going often. We personally wanted something a little more secluded for our camper trailer. I think this location is best for tent or dry camping. I was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi, and had to get some work done the first day too so we decided to move locations.

We had an amazing time! Sarah was super responsive and very helpful. Very dark sky, great for stargazing. The pool is a plus and you can get to town in about 15 minutes. We will definitely be staying again.

Fantastic not only was it private, quiet & fun with all the animals it was very pleasurable meeting her beautiful family. She brought us veggies from her garden and fresh eggs too AND a pool. What a great Hip Camp 10 stars. She was a great host and in the end I believe we made some new friends.

I loved tent camping on this property! The trees provided some privacy and was perfect shade for a fire. The pool was such a treat. Sarah was a lovely host and very accommodating.

That site was gorgeous and Sarah the host, so nice friendly and helpful! You have beautiful grass and trees and household animals, rabbits, and birds. And on top of that, you can use their private pool and enjoy landscape. In the morning I was treated with the eggs and fruits! Definitely that was the best campsite on my four day long trip.
