3 nights at Secluded Treehouse/AC, Real Privacy

Very interesting and comfortable treehouse! Very private and the tub and fire were perfect. You will hear the highway unfortunately, but it was still quite relaxing with a ton of wildlife. You can feel the love that went into building this special structure.

Weekend Trip to Terraqueous RV Resort

We booked last minute and the hosts were very accommodating. The property was amazing and well kept up. This is a great place for family’s with and without kids alike. There are plenty of amenities from a catch and release pond, a giant sandpit, playgrounds, swimming pool, huge splashed, and an adult only pool and bar.

Me and my family loved this treehouse! It was tons of fun for the kids - there are games, puzzles, kayaks, a canoe, a cargo net, arts & crafts and a nice little "hike" on the property. The water was low but the host sent us another spot we could checkout closeby if we wanted more water- turns out there was plenty still to entertain the kids. There are pantry staples and basic seasonings, a small electric cook top thing, a few pans/pot, mini fridge, kettle, coffeemaker and a toaster oven. If you find you need something you are nearby a store (but don't worry, this is a nice isolated place. I never felt like there was anyone nearby! I did hear some loud music a couple of times at night, maybe from a neighbor? but it subsided around midnight and wasn't *too* loud.) There are 3 cute ducks that hang around and a bunch of cardinals and other small songbirds that pop up- one even greeted me in the shower, haha. The weather was perfect - especially for sleeping outside in the hanging bed. The host is super nice and will answer quickly! If you are thinking of booking, for a romantic getaway or a little fun with the kids (or both) - you can find it here.

Great spot to camp and super friendly host! We were supposed to have a tent site but needed to car camp, and the host was super flexible and understanding. She went above and beyond to help us when we arrived. We had great communication with the resort making our stay very simple and easy. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning on stopping in this area.

I loved tent camping here. We had a very quiet site next to the entrance. The clubhouse was wonderful and also had popcorn available for us to have. The bathrooms were immaculate and just spotless. There was coffee in the morning and water for all of us. The caretaker also was very inviting and helpful. She was just a very understanding lady. It was just a wonderful experience and I would stay here again.

This was a real treehouse with just enough upgrades to make it comfortable. We had a wonderful break away from the city here. It was so nice to just relax with the kids and have a break from TV and phones. Highly recommend!!!

This treehouse is a wondrous place to take a retreat from your day-to-day. Me and my partner came for a little one on one time. The cowboy bathtub was the highlight for me (a person who chooses vacation destinations based on tub quality). Each “porch” of the tree house was cozy and whimsical. The inside is full of games, art supplies, and plenty of natural light. Waking up and opening the doors to let the fresh air and sunshine in was rejuvenating and peaceful. The energy of this entire property was absolutely inviting, refreshing, and very special. The only gripe I have is that we couldn’t stay long enough to get to our list of desired activities during our stay. (pond swimming, hammock chilling, yoga, swinging daybed reading, etc). Shellie let us know about a spectacular brunch spot near by. She was communicative and helpful our entire stay. We will absolutely be visiting again!

Weekend Trip to Secluded Treehouse/AC, Real Privacy

Beautiful treehouse! The AC was cool during the day, and the electric heater was fantastic in the evenings when it got cool outside. Everything was very cozy, and I definitely second what other Hipcampers have said about the shower being AMAZING! I used it twice in one day! 🤣 The entire site is very private, and we saw a few critters roaming around. I will say that the stairs are definitely steep, more in between a ladder and stairs, so only our shiba inu came up to the treehouse. Our other 2 larger dogs stayed on their leads on the ground. The queen day bed was so comfy, and the weather was so nice that we ended up spending most of our evenings out there, until after midnight. It was so calm and I definitely recommend it. Very unique, and quiet, stay.

We loved staying at the treehouse on Shellie’s property! It was thoughtfully set up with much of the necessities to make packing easy. We couldn’t believe how clean the outdoor swinging bed was given the elements, but it was immaculate. We slept and read books there and it was a dream. The campsite provided the perfect amount of firewood and it was a very private spot. Shellie was amazing with communication and went above and beyond. We will definitely be staying again next time we need a quick escape from ATX.

About 15 minutes to tube rentals to float the river in San Marcos. The San Marcos outlet malls are a shower trip. An approximate 30 minute trip to Wimberly, TX wineries. There are wildflowers all over the property; especially in the spring time. We have seen deer grazing on the property and some travelers have found fossils and arrowheads (no guarantees of course). A tent can be provided upon your request ahead of time. We look forward to hosting you. We want you to create lasting memories by connecting with yourself and loved ones.

River Grove Campground

. These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so. Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds. Campfires are permitted. There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one. Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently I am almost always on the property and try to have my phone with me while campers are on site, just let me know what you need and I will do what I can to accommodate you. This is a relaxing spot in the Hill Country to camp and enjoy the surrounding area with nearby swimming, kayaking, rock climbing, bicycle riding, and hiking on and around the Pedernales River, as well as the many restaurants, wineries, and breweries in the area. We have a variety of campsites styles ranging from cozy secluded oak groves to more open spaces for camping under the stars. Rates: $25 PER PERSON, PER NIGHT (minimum of 2 campers). Children age 3 and under are free. If bringing children, please tell us how many and their ages. Nearby Parks for hiking and swimming: HAMILTON POOL PRESERVE (1.9 mi) is open by reservation for hiking and swimming. Visits are for 3 1/2 hour blocks of time. No dogs allowed at Hamilton Pool MILTON REIMERS RANCH COUNTY PARK (2.5 mi) is nearby and is open for hiking, swimming, fishing, rock climbing, and cycling. Dogs on a leash allowed at Reimers. CASH ONLY! $5/per person, no reservation required. We love it there! WEST CAVE OUTDOOR DISCOVERY CENTER (2.6 mi) is open by reservation only for guided tours of the waterfall/cave-no swimming allowed. No dogs allowed at West Cave PEDERNALES FALLS STATE PARK (34 mi) is open by reservation only for day use hiking and swimming. Dogs on a leash allowed ENCHANTED ROCK STATE NATURAL AREA (71 mi) is open by reservation only for day use hiking on weekends and holidays. If we are not under a burn ban, BRING FIREWOOD and/or charcoal because we have fire rings and BBQ cookers at most of the sites. If we are under a burn ban, campfires (even in fire rings) are not allowed, but bring some charcoal because you may still use BBQ Cookers, which we have at each of our sites.
