It's super primitive but if you drive 4x4 and are willing to take risks you could drive down, park on the edge, and have the best view out there. The hike down the hill is pretty steep but if your a hiker it's a breeze. Sooooooo much eye candy with the creek down below and the cliffs. Not a lot of water this time around. Clouds did move in but you can tell the stars would be epic from this location. Really hoping if Claire is cool enough she would let me know when its got enough water for recreation. 🙏🥹😉

The view is beautiful, the campfire is nice, but views aren’t everything.
There was no heat or WiFi in the van which was promised. The host excused it by saying “well if you have an internet signal it would be better than our WiFi anyways”.
There was also no way to have a hot shower as the furnace wasn’t working, so it was either cold shower or go without. Not the end of the world, but not what was promised.
The van beds are comfy, they’re what you’d expect from a camper van but I had no complaints there, plenty of blanket & pillow.
Overall, I wouldn’t say “don’t stay here”, I’d just say be aware you may not be getting what you paid for. That being said, I wouldn’t stay more than a single night, & I personally would not re-book.
The hosts were nice, I felt pretty safe & overall I was only dissatisfied with not getting the amenities that were promised, & necessary for this trip in particular.

I was looking for memories to create for my son and I…and this was perfect! The JC Rig was so comfortable and had everything to spoil yourself! I was so excited about the accommodations and location! The view was so spectacular! We faced some challenging weather and camping obstacles that were instantly tended to by wonderful hosts. I can’t say enough about how much this trip meant to us! Thank you!

Good for a quick country getaway with an amazing view and the necessities that you need.. wouldn't recommend for children as there is not much to do, it's more just piece of quiet for some good clean fresh air with a couple good hikes down toa creek. found some pretty fun rocks and enjoyed the campfire. ... the rig was accommodating with full work working water, electric, great AC, shower, coffee, dishes and a few snacks. Linens were clean and the beds were comfortable as we went as a couple the beds don't connect you do sleep in your own separate twin little space ad that's how the van is equipped. Definitely would enjoyed a little more privacy as it's not far from the homeowner's house due to electrical reasons for hookup, very understandable. maybe ideal put a small privacy fence of some sort in the future with a small stock tank to cool off in 😁😎🧡❤️💜 . Other than that i recommended for a night away from the city.

Great spot for texas hill country viewing! Fun little hike you can take to the river bed too! Host was very nice. Saw the eclipse here and it was 10/10

Camp JC had terrific views and great options for sites. There was easy communication and access to the property as well as proximity to Pedernales and the Fitzhugh breweries. We only wish we had planned in a little time to hike down to the creek on the property!

Our hosts were super nice and helpful and had prepared a perfect stay for us in their camper van. The location was also lovely in the middle of the Texas hill country.
