This was a great spot! Robert was very welcoming. The directions were clear and the spot was exactly as pictured, with full hookups and a covered parking spot and picnic table. I had a very peaceful week here!
What a beautifully appointed location to rest, enjoy peaceful surroundings, and very welcoming and gracious hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute we were there. If we’re ever in the area we’ll definitely come back here.
The RV ranch spot is secluded, quiet and lovely. Plenty of country. Plenty of privacy.
They have full coverage, a lovely home and a very kind family. They also have cows and chickens and eggs that you can buy. We're lucky enough to have been able to stay a number of times with them and we can't wait to do it again.
There's also quick and easy access to the river!
Great spot great hosts. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful relaxing place to stay. Eggs are great too! 10/10

Only one rv spot that has full hook ups with covered awning. The owners are very nice, quite, raising cows, chickens and 4 children. The location is rural but only 15 minutes or so from San Marcos. The tiny down of Martindale has a public parking for $10 a day that has access to the river. I took my 2 dogs to the river and was all alone. Great solitude.

Perfect stay for anyone with a camper trailer! Full hook-ups under an awning and spacious driveway make it an easy stay. Loved seeing the cattle pass directly behind us and cute cats roam the property. We swam, caught some fish and even saw a beaver in the river close by. Went shopping in San Marcos and got barbecue at Blacks Barbecue in Lockhart. Great weekend getaway and highly recommended stay which Becca and Robert made possible!

We had a great stay here! It was private and peaceful. Far enough from the city but yet close to all your needs in the nearby cities. There is river near the property, about a mile away, for tubing, swimming etc. e got fresh eggs from their chickens. Becca and Robert are wonderful hosts. Definitely recommend.🙂

The Ranch RV Spot
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our tent camping stay in early July 2022. Met upon arrival with a dozen fresh chicken eggs. Host gave us tips on where to go for the activities we wanted to do. They brought around the fire pit and shared their own firewood, they also had tubes and kayak set out for us before we arrived. Kind family, they do live on the property in the house they are restoring so it feels a bit like camping in someone's front yard (bc you are). There's not much to do by way of hanging out at the campsite, but recommend this spot as a launch point for San Marcos, New Braunfels, or the river around the corner at Shady Grove Campground.

Cute Martindale downtown less than 5 minutes away
Some shade provided by two large trees, particularly nice in the morning.
Wonderful stargazing and sunsets
Cons:
No bathroom facilities
The family lives on site so there will be some in and out of a normal family, including kids
Bugs - numerous but no harm to us
Critters can be loud at night - recommend earplugs
Shady Grove Campground which is just around the corner has bathrooms with free showers. $5 per person for a day pass and there is also river entry there. Not a long floating river, more of a post up in a nice spot river (too shallow).
