Stayed at camp site#5 Memorial Day. Surrounded by beautiful sceneary. Good shade, good privacy, very well maintained site. Walked up to a tasting room, saw grape fields with constant winds 4 hawks circled above, no wonder why Ranch Red wine tasted so good. Backed to campsite enjoyed the bottle with stars in the dark sky. Night and Morning different bird songs. Rear wheel drive no problem, very good location

This place was amazing! Melissa met us as we pulled in. My two little ones immediately adored her. She was so nice and welcoming. I was honestly blown away with how secluded and “in the woods out in the middle of nowhere” it felt. The boys (6 and 3) and I haven’t done a real camping trip yet and I wanted to do kind of a trial run first. It honestly couldn’t have went better. They said it felt like we went through a portal! We had plenty of fire wood to roast marshmallows and hot dogs and the boys loved the teepee! Thank you again Melissa for such an amazing experience!

We had a great time on an overnight camping trip to this site. Ms April took our group of 4 adults and 4 children on an awesome horseback ride as well. The site had lots of ants due in part to the heavy rains we had prior to our stay.

This property has been in my family for 5 generations. There was a house and a cabin on it at one time, but now it just has the old cemetery and a small corral. The cemetery is notable, it being the final resting place of Wilson N. Jones (1827-1901), principal chief of the Choctaw Nation. Learn more about this land:Have a great stay. This is the first time my folks have let anyone stay on the farm. So please be respectful of the land. No trash/litter. You can see the stars at night in a way that is impossible in the cities. It’s really worth the drive. Perhaps bring a telescope! There are the remnants of long gone houses and a worn out barn. Interesting to look at. But be careful, your car might get stuck unless it has 4x4. There is a creek that runs along the backside to the South of the property. Sometimes it has water, sometimes not, depends on how much rain we’re getting. We only allow one camping party at a time, this ensures you get to enjoy the property undisturbed. It is primitive camping, no services, no facilities. Bring in everything you need, take out everything you brought.

We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods. In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! The Sniders played an important part in the development of our town, Lucas, and surrounding schools. My location is about 8 miles due west of the little town of Caney, Oklahoma. I’m very rural, no close neighbors, 19 acres of pasture and woods. Plenty of places to park, one area is back in the woods a bit with water and 50 amp service, others strictly boondocking. There’s not much “close” to me but I’m kind of centrally located between Atoka, Texoma and McGee lakes. Boggy depot state park and Fort Washita is close by and south of me is the Choctaw Casino. It’s very quiet and no nighttime lights so there’s an awesome night sky. Please check out the map I've included in my photos for precise directions. The last 2.5 miles to get to my house is by gravel road and my entrance may be a bit difficult to spot but my name and address is on the big black mailbox. Just turn in and cross the cattle guard and go through the driveway into the open field. Parking is on the north side of the drive along the tree line or back in the woods. Don’t hesitate to contact me directly for directions. If you follow my guidance, you should have no problem finding me or turning into my drive. Pets are welcome but I suggest they remain on a leash if you’re around my house or other campers and please clean up after them. The open field around my house is not always mowed because my neighbor cuts the hay and I like the spring wildflowers. I try to keep a walking path around my place but I travel too so at times it may not be well maintained. Since I do travel a lot, I may not be home when you arrive. Please make yourself at home and leave the place as you found it. Thank you!
