1 night at Hopz n Skootz: Camping & Fishing

I had an amazing experience at Sonja’s place! The views were stunning, and it felt like the perfect escape peaceful and relaxing, yet surprisingly close to Dallas. This was my first time camping and I went solo, so I was definitely feeling anxious, but the moment I arrived and met Sonja and her sweet daughter Olivia, I immediately felt safe and welcomed. Sonja went above and beyond to make sure everything was convenient and comfortable. She mowed the grass before I arrived and sprayed the bathroom for mosquitoes, which was a huge relief. The bathroom itself was stocked with everything I could possibly need bug sprays, fire starters, a lighter, batteries, OFF! spray, sanitizing wipes, and more. Honestly, I regretted stopping at Walmart for those items Sonja had it all covered! One of the highlights of my stay was getting to meet her baby goats they were so much fun to play with! And to top it all off, she even gifted me fresh eggs, which was such a kind and thoughtful touch. This was truly a special experience, and I’m already planning to come back hopefully next time with my husband. If you have kids, this is a very family friendly spot where you’ll feel safe, cared for, and have a great time. Highly, highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to The PARK at Brushy Creek

I had a great time at this campsite. The owners were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything was comfortable. The property itself is spacious with plenty of room to explore and stretch your legs. Perfect spot if you're looking for a quiet place to unwind.

1 night at 4R Ranch Winery Campsite

Just went camping at 4R Hipcamp and it was phenomenal! Beautiful… rolling hills, creeks and the campsites were plentiful. Most of all, it was peaceful. This campsite does provide showers and a toilet, but come prepared. We slept under a big oak tree and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at the Treehouse. Steve is a great host. Very good location given it's not too far from the city....it's a cozy & private site. Couple of tips for fellow travelers: 1) wear your mud shoes when there is rain just before your stay 2) expect & be prepared to use a make shift toilet (few yards away on the trail)...better to pack a flash light.

Another great trip to 4G ranch. Site was freshly mowed and clear directions on how to get there. Enjoyed the proximity to the fishing. My 12 year old loved being able to just walk on down there to cast his line. Will be back again soon!

We loved staying on Gary’s property! It was the perfect weekend getaway. It was so peaceful and the animals were all so friendly and sweet. The property was easy to get to and easy to get in and out. Gary and Dee were wonderful as was everyone else on property we got to meet! We had some issues with our RV and had to use the restroom they have there which was clean and perfect! It is disguised as a cute little outhouse and was steps away from our camper. We visited the stockyards in Fort Worth while we were there which was just about 30 min away! Thank you so much for having us! We will be back!

Campground was pretty. Top of the Mountain really does have a fantastic view. We rode by it on a mountain bike race. There's a road over by a bunch of wind turbines that had a really good view. Showers have an instant hot water heater. Non-variable temperature. Bring a pull cord if you want kids to be able to shower themselves. Hand washing sinks at the shower. It could use more toilets for the morning rush at events. Sitzen by itself is probably fine for an off-weekend. The creek has shiners/minnows about 2-3 inches long downstream of the culvert.

Built in the 80's by the Corps of Engineers, Paradise has been a mainstay of the lake for many years. Recently, the current management team are working to grow Paradise into something special. I have deer that sleep in my front yard, opossums, 600 bird species, and my favorite… the armadillos! We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding. The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods. In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family. We’re always a text away! You’ll see us out and about on our golf carts. If you ever need anything just holler (: Check-in time is at 3 pm. Our staff works really hard to make sure everything is perfect for your stay and we can’t guarantee it will be if you arrive before then. Parking, we work really hard to keep our property beautiful.
