Gorgeous old oak trees shade the land that has seen many inhabitants, from Native Americans to our three generations, who love the fauna and flora on the edge of East Texas. The sandy loam soil is prefect for our horses and cattle and we are only 30 miles from the hustle and bustle of the Big D. Learn more about this land: We are a working ranch with cattle, horses, chickens, goats, pigs, llamas and more. We offer guided trail rides with our Curly Mustangs who are gentle and calm through the flora and fauna filled forest and pasture for an additional cost if you are up for a real ranch experience. Please contact us in advance for the availability of trail rides.  Spend the day fishing, play a few games of horseshoes and enjoy watching our gentle critters as they munch away. As evening sets, pitch a tent and feel free to relax by a fire as you view some of the most beautiful stars of the big sky of the Lone Star State. We have private hot showers and restroom accommodations in our sixteen stall barn. Horse boarding available for an additional fee. While we are only 30 miles from Dallas, you will feel the quiet beauty of country living at Golden Curls Ranch.

We are a working ranch with cattle, horses, chickens, goats, pigs, llamas and more. We offer guided trail rides with our Curly Mustangs who are gentle and calm through the flora and fauna filled forest and pasture for an additional cost if you are up for a real ranch experience. Welcome to a working ranch in North Texas where we breed Irish Dexter cattle and train BLM gathered Curly Mustangs. Grab a fishing pole and drop a hook in one of our many ponds (tanks). Light the campfire and watch the stars shoot across the Lonestar State sky. Then turn step into the comforts of a well stocked Casita with shower and frig/microwave. This Casita has a Queen sized bed downstairs and two twins upstairs. Next morning after a hot coffee of tea or coffee saddle up with well trained horses (price not included and must be prescheduled). Enjoy the old days of ranching and farming with a few modern day conveniences.

amazing place! Let me boom last minute, animals here are beautiful, happy and very quiet, cleanest ranch ever been to, Angela is so incredibly kind, very responsive, Cabin I stayed in was fenced in, safe, clean, beautiful, spacious. on a road trip to big bend park w 3 pups, was not expecting so much hospitality but privacy if needed. I cannot thank her enough, hope to come back through ❤️

Great time on the farm

I'm grateful that Angela and her family opened up their place to us. We had an amazing time just relaxing on the farm, watching the animals, and enjoying nature. The horse ride was great and it was awesome to learn about the specific breed that Angela has there. She's caring and passionate about what she does and it made the experience that much more incredible. Thank you.

Convenient location with farm animals and horses, the host is flexible and friendly, she walked with us and showed the property. It was freezing and raining during our booking period and it’s hard to stay indoors in the small space, we wish climate was better

Thanks so much for hosting us for the eclipse! The land was spectacularly kept and seeing the animals added to the experience so much. Angela was so hospitable would definitely recommend to others as a host!

We really just needed a place to hook up because we were going to go visit my aunt. I did need a converter to plug in because I was 30 amp but otherwise everything was amazing and perfect and wasn’t startled at all when I opened the door and there was a horse standing there. She brought us muffins and drinks the first morning and couldn’t have been happier with where we stayed the few nights that we were in Texas!!!!
