Nestled amidst towering trees and located right next to Oliver creek, our campsite offers the perfect feeling of camping way out deep in the country while only being about 5 minutes from downtown Decatur or around 30 minutes from Downtown Fort Worth! Unplug from the fast paced living as you experience life with our wild Colorado Mustangs that roam freely around our campsite or enjoy the stars that shine down upon on you at night. We offer the perfect weekend getaway trip for every outdoor enthusiast trapped and longing to escape the DFW area while not having to drive hours and hours to get to a state park!

Campers will have access to two locations to explore Oliver Creek! Campers will also have plenty of room to pitch a tent on either a wooden deck or on the ground surrounding the area! We have a large campfire location that can be used (as long as no burn ban is in effect)! We can also provide a teepee that can easily fit 4-6 people in it for an additional charge upon request!

Moonshiners Ridge is a beautifully located campsite that overlooks Oliver Creek! -It’s private- and has an incredible view - which includes a 45-60ft drop into a canyon that has Oliver creek running straight through the middle! It takes everything people love from our first site and adds even more scenery to the experience! We look forward to meeting you soon!

I love this site I been out before, this time we brought out my friends kids for thanksgiving. The kiddos absolutely loved it. They had so much fun in the creek. It’s a perfect spot to get away just play in nature.

Wild Horses on Oliver Creek
Trey was such a kind host! We had a fantastic fall camp with clear skies and stargazing at night and lots of active birdwatching in the morning. Definitely recommend as a place to escape DFW and be out in the country all by yourselves! The site was very private and well maintained.

This was a really great spot. There’s tons of room to roam around and trails to explore. Total privacy and an extremely friendly and helpful host.
