Weekend Trip to Boulderdash Cabin & Camping

The trailer was adorable and clean. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Spending time soaking in the river was wonderful.

Carol-anne and Lyn greeted us upon arrival and offered any assistance since we are new to the RV life. They are amazing and friendly hosts! Grounds are very clean and well maintained. No issues with hookups. Beautiful views of the hill country. Perfect place for newbie RVers to stretch their wings! We plan to return in the future. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Weekend Trip to Indian Blanket Ranch - Utopia Texas

We enjoyed the peacefulness of this quaint cabin with its unique features. The fenced yard was wonderful for our dog. The private hot tub was fantastic! Be sure to bring paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, condiments, bug spray, dish soup and other essentials. We explored the trails a bit, but the tall grass caused concern for our dog and potential snakes. It’s a great location away from the craziness of the river. Enjoyed Lost Maples Cafe in Utopia, Gypsies in Leakey. Hippie Chics in Concan was our favorite! Garner State Park is beautiful and popular so get a reservation way ahead of time. Looking forward to coming back to this gem in the future. Thank you to the owners.

We loved Boulderdash so much! It’s so quiet and peaceful. The water was perfect for the kids. The bathrooms were beautiful and clean. There was shade in all of the spots. We loved it so much we booked our next trip back while we were still there!

Boulderdash is a fantastic getaway. The hosts are just wonderful and so helpful. They have a little store where they stock ice and other stuff for sale. Weekend Trip to Terraqueous RV Resort

The “M section” is the perfect spot if you have a small travel trailer and are okay with water and 20 amp hookup only (I think there was a 50 amp as well). There are no sewer hookups at this particular site, however there is a really convenient dump station before you exit the park and not to mention a really nice bath room and shower with a/c within walking distance. This is our second trip out there and we absolutely love this place.

Fantastic spot. The shower facilities are spotless and nicer than most hotels! If your passing through or planning on spending a day touring the near by three sisters this is a great place to stay.

1 night at Sparrow Bend River Retreat

Great experience staying in the Scamp camper. The space is tucked away from the other cabins given the proximity of the other sites. Very adequate amenities inside (cookware, towels and silverware). I would highly recommend it for couples, no more than 2 people can comfortably stay in the space in my opinion. Very responsive and professional customer service and the riverfront felt very private and fun! Definitely staying again sometime soon.

We had an incredible stay in the Airstream! The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views that made our trip unforgettable. 2 nights at Sparrow Bend River Retreat

Absolutely amazing! I've been coming to the area (mainly Frio River) my entire life and this place might be my favorite place I've been! We stayed in campsite #3 and it was perfect. Plenty of room between other campsites. Very clean and had a fire pit area with a picnic table. Deer came to eat every morning and evening. We saw turkey as well. Went fishing and caught bass, catfish, gar, soft shell turtle and about a million perch! Water was low, but still had the perfect amount for swimming and cooling off. Indoor bathrooms with AC is a major bonus! The cabins on the property looked great from the outside. Truly worth every penny, we'll be coming back! Easy access into the gated property, which made us feel safe knowing our stuff was safe when we left to go to town. Can't say enough good things!

Camping spot was great! Tried to get a river spot first, but they were all booked up. Glad we ended up a Forest 1 because of the shade and close to bathrooms. Only about a 3 minute walk to the river. River was super fun. Also, short drive to Bandera which was a really cute town. Plan on returning in the future!

My family love our get away trip. The camp grounds were clean and the staff was very responsive if you needed anything. We went for Memorial Day weekend and while others were fighting for space to set up and hit the water. The camp grounds were spacious and other guests were quiet and respectful. Beautiful sights from the communal observation deck. We will be returning in the future.

About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out. NO FISHING Free firewood for use during your stay and can make a good deal if you want to take some home! As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are-- 1. Below the Green Cabin 2.
