We loved this site! We had great view of the 4th of July fireworks! The camp ground was clean and very cute! Carol-anne and Lyn were both very nice and caring. Definitely recommend it!

This was our second trip to Dos Rios! I cannot recommend Campsite 2 enough. It’s right above the Llano River. I have no complaints and we’re ready to go back!

Weekend Trip to Seco Ridge Campgrounds

Seco Ridge Campground is isolated but close to town and the park for swimming fishing. The tent spots are big areas, you can find some amazing views and on Sat nights they have a band come out and play. Woody and his wife Jessica are super nice people who will engage in conversation with you. If you want a nice peaceful relaxing get away this is the spot. Already planning my return trip.

We had a wonderful weekend at the campground! The area was clean, quiet, and surrounded by nature—perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. The facilities were well maintained, and everything was exactly as described.

great location! very close to frio river and its really nice spot that has nice deep water. the camp hosts are really great and accommodating, the bathrooms are clean and the shower work well. all in all I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a nice quiet getaway.

Tent camping was amazing here! The views and weather were so beautiful. Our favorites were the sauna and cowboy pool! We were also taken away by the kitchen, there is literally more than what you’d need for a camping trip and the showers were so clean & spacious! I loved the touch of eucalyptus. Now I’m trying to plan to stay in a cabin.

I loved camping out on Fritz’s land! The landscape is so beautiful and it was so peaceful out there. So many different species of birds to hear and see. The water is crystal clear and refreshing to take a dip in! Definitely planning on going back out there in the future!

We brought our teardrop trailer here for a night. Getting hooked up was easy, the spot was level, and it was a short walk to the bathrooms and the river. Very quiet and peaceful at night. Loved it!

First time camping and this place was amazing. River was a little low but that didn’t stop us from getting in the water and having fun. Easy rental process for the kayak, tubes and firewood and very nice bathrooms and showers. Definitely considering coming back when it’s cooler.

This was a relaxing and enjoyable stay! The staff was friendly and laid-back, which made the experience even better. I had no trouble reversing my 27-foot travel trailer into the site—very convenient. It was the perfect place to unwind and disconnect. We made use of the pool and even played a few games of pickleball. The Wi-Fi was a great bonus and worked well for streaming movies. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

French Connection Wines is right next door and the renowned William Chris Vineyards is just 1 mile away. Not to be missed is the Garrison Brother's Bourbon Distillery, less than a mile down the street – you could even walk to all three! Our property features a shared, covered outdoor patio with a games court for corn hole, checkers, and bocce (checkers, boards and balls provided), gas fire pit, and a gas grill for those cooler nights. The patio is lighted with cafe lights. One of the RV slips is covered, while the other is nestled under a charming burr oak tree. On-site, we also offer a rental cabin. The covered RV slip is equipped with 30 and 50 amps, the other hookup is 50 amp, both have their own water and clean out connections. Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt. Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed. Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Kindly be considerate of noise levels and how it may impact the experience of fellow guests. You may also be sharing amenities such as the grill, deck, outdoor kitchen, and games court. 1100 acres of gorgeous natural land at the headwaters of the Medina River. Crystal clear and clean spring feed water. Fourth-generation family owners. Remote camping. Very private with plenty of varied terrain for hiking swimming, tubing, biking or just hanging out in a hammock enjoying the breeze and peace and quiet. About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out. NO FISHING As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are-- 1. Below the Green Cabin 2. The Ranch is our place we like to go when we need to get away. It's raw and it's nice land to camp, explore and enjoy wildlife. We have a Wildlife Exemption on the property and enjoy managing native song birds. We keep a constant flow of bird seed located in feeders around the ranch, and we have seen all kinds of birds making this a great place for birders. The ranch has nice elevation changes with a wet weather creek that traverses the property. There are some trails to hike or mountain bike. The cabin is rustic without plumbing or electricity, but we enjoy it and it's fun to think it's everything we would need. This is off-grid living all the way, and we are constantly learning new and better ways to do things. The cabin is located on the very first spot we pitched a tent after purchasing the land, and we continue to make improvements as we go. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
