Lions Gate Camp Ground

4 sites · Lodging, Tents48 acres · Bon Aqua Junction, Hickman
Enjoy some privacy just 35 minutes from Loveless Cafe' in Nashville. The 48 acre campground is almost all woods and access to trails on about 35 acres. More trails are coming. There is about a 1/2 acre of field to park in between the road and the creek if you don't have an off road vehicle. Mother Nature has a lot to offer when you cross the creek into the first two campsites that are on the 30' creek. One big spring runs through the middle of the 2 sites with small cascading waterfalls. Both sites have string lights and 120V extension cords. These two sites are right next to each other so if you have another couple that wants to join you these two spots are perfect. Site 1 is the nicer of the two with granite outdoor counters, a round fire pit with a fold down heavy cooking grate, charcoal grill and a large wrought iron table and chairs. RENT A CAMPER WITH SITE 1 or BRING YOUR PERSONAL CAMPER: There is a camper site option on the field side of the creek of Site 1 with 30 amp. 240 and 120 volt plugs. Click on additional fees for camper electrical hook up. Site 2 has a large Solo stove(delivered upon arrival), wrought iron chairs for the fire, a separate picnic table, and a small grill. Both sites have 2 or more flat areas for tents. Set up you your chairs in the creek if front of your site. The cold water is a great place to relax and cool off. No bathroom or city water. Just electricity unless you rent the camper of course. It has a bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower. Burn as many dead branches as you like. We provide 4 - 16" diameter bundles of split wood or purchase additional bundles for 5.00 each. 4 bundles usually last one evening. Site 3 or "Still Hollow" is more primitive and has no electricity and away from the road in the middle of the property. Bring your own table and chairs, build a fire and enjoy the privacy. (We can supply a table and chairs if you need them. No charge) The old moonshine barrels are still barely standing by the spring. This site is also accessed from the opposite side of the campground on Ben Fly Rd. 4 wheel drive may be necessary. STAR GAZING for all 3 sites: There is a cleared area on top of a hill side for stargazing far from the city lights. TOURING THE AREA: Check out 'Fisher's Off Road' to rent a nice 4 seater CAN-AM machine. Drive around the local dirt roads for miles and learn the history of Moon Shine Alley, visit Lick Creek, drive through many creeks and see some beautiful views. We took to tour with Fisher and it was a blast. https://www.fishersoffroadrentals.com/ CHECK IN: Check in can be really early and check out can be as late as you want most of the time. Just let us know in advance! PHOTOS: EXPAND THE PHOTOS TO A SINGLE VIEW! You can see the description of each photo and which site is in the picture. Some are not at the campsite but nearby attractions. Note: In order to drive up into the campsite, you may need a 4x4 vehicle but definitely need ground clearance. If you do not have a 4x4 vehicle or ground clearance, that is okay, park in the field and bring your water shoes for campsite 2. There are stairs and rocks to cross over to Site 1. Stepping stones for site 2 are coming soon.

Flora and Fauna Camp

10 sites · RVs, Tents102 acres · Tennessee, Cheatham
Once a place where Whisky was made under prohibition, the regulators came and bashed down the stills that are still standing along the stream banks. This area was a bulwark for natives that hunted and fished along the stream banks, and there's artifacts that can still can be observed along the canyon where hikers can enjoy. Learn more about this land:Get away from the city and hike where others would love to hike yet have no access to! There's a lot to be discovered at Flora and Fauna Camp! Discover the canyon, stream, and much more!  It's blackberry season from June through the beginning of July, so if you'd like to pick blackberries that's a perfect time!

East Nashville Stopover

1 site · RV1 acre · Nashville, Davidson
The perfect spot for any tent camper or van adventurer looking to explore Nashville from a close home base. In the Inglewood area of East Nashville, I’m less than 10 minutes from the many restaurants and bars of East, any only about 13 minutes from downtown Nashville. The property is less than an acre, but has ample driveway space for any van (I have a Ford Transit) and a shaded backyard area perfectly tucked away for a few nights in a tent. As a separate part of the backyard, I have a large fully fenced area, perfect for dogs. I have a small dog myself, so only friendly dogs please! I have a large back patio with a grill and fire pit that you are welcome to use. As a HipCamper myself, I sometimes struggle to find options that are in close proximity to the major cities I’m hoping to explore while on my travels. Hopefully I can help solve that for others looking to explore Nashville :)

Wild Meadows atop Rutherford County

5 sites · RVs, Tents16 acres · Lascassas, Rutherford
25 years ago, we camped this spot and dreamed of building a house here. The view was so captivating. Needless to say, we’ve been here 20+yrs and still camping our land. Now we are sharing the beautiful landscape and remote feel that's so close to so much to see and do. We love where we are and we think you will too. Oh and I should also mention, you must love dogs. We have 3 plus 2 cats and chickens. Isolated or wide open. 1 tent or group camping. No electricity or water hookups. Free Access to water hose. We do not allow recreational motorized vehicles, firearms or bows. This is a peaceful serene getaway. We also have Airbnb rentals that consist of our home, that's also listed as "Wild Meadows atop Rutherford County", a travel trailer referred to as "Wildwood 17' Western RV and an RV listed as "Boutique RV at Wild Meadows". See trees, birds, lightning bugs and gorgeous views of Rutherford county. 5 min. from water. Swim, bike, fish, walk or run. Boating 15 min. from Percy priest lake. 10 min. from Cedars of Lebanon state park. 5 min. from Murfreesboro. 15 min. from downtown Murfreesboro. On the city square, there's live music first Friday every month. Fantastic farmers market sat mornings in the summer, starting in May. Checkout “Quarter Spring Farm” goat soap booth.
