Weekend Trip to Peaceful Hollow Pines

Great spot, less than 10 minutes from the AT. They provided easy access to wood and fire starters and we used a bundle that we pre-purchased online. The table and benches were great too!

Good level site on a hillside. It drained nicely after a rain. Fire out and benches are a nice amenity. Far away but close to some great towns. No cell service but that was always really nice. Phil stopped by to say hello. Great stay.

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Hollow Pines

We had a great time on our first camping trip with our young daughter. The spot was set up nicely and it was quiet and peaceful. The eggs from Victoria and Phil’s farm were amazing, highly recommended! Overall it was a very good experience.

Weekend Trip to Willows Farm

I tent camped at this site in late April. The site was flat, provided electric, and had a really nice fire pit. Views were so pretty and I had the chance to greet some cows and horses. I only wish the weather cooperated a little more--if you're tent camping definitely be ready for some winds. But it was a great time and centrally located to lots of great MD sites and wineries. I'd come back if I'm in the area again for sure.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Comus Sky Farm! Juanita was an amazing and attentive host who went above and beyond for all her guests. Our 3 boys (dogs) enjoyed hiking the trails around the property every morning as well as watching the horses. The farm may be in the countryside but not too far out of town to make a quick run to the store or from Washington, DC. We will definitely be back!

We came back to Willow's Farm and tried out the Woods camping. We loved it! It was private, shaded, quiet, and had plenty of space for our set up. Honestly, the only issue we had was that previous campers definitely ate crabs there because they threw all the claws around the campsite and our dog happened to find them all and eat them. We will definitely be coming back!

Weekend Trip to Kitchen Girl Farm

The farm is nice and the area is peaceful. The kitchen is a plus – it made meal clean up easy. The campsite is near a road and a couple of homes but the road isn’t busy and the neighbors are very friendly. It’s a good place to stay if you would like to bike the NCR Trail. The White Hall NCR Trail Parking lot is just a few miles away. Buy the eggs!

Weekend Trip to Locust Post Brewery Camp

We had a great overnight stay at site number 2. Tony and Denise were great hosts. Pizza and beer and live entertainment made for an enjoyable evening . Bathrooms for campers were super clean and convenient. Look forward to our next visit.

The sites are not far from our barn, and we will leave one tractor bay open for you, just in case it was to rain and you want to use it as shelter. The sites are not perfect level so you will have to level your camper a little. You will have your own fire ring and picnic table, also you will have access to fresh water. You will need a good size water hose if your going to hook up water to your camper from site 1. We have electric hookups that are 20amp Only. There is a clean outhouse but no shower at this time. We are working on making a shower. There is plenty of room for outdoor yard games. You will hear some road noise and we do have neighbors. You will see me and my family out working around and feeding animals at times. The hosts house is not to far from the campsites. This is just a peaceful piece of property on a mini farm to get away and relax and explore Berkeley Springs WV. We are also only 15 minutes to Cacapon River for Kayaking and Swimming. We are also only 15 minutes to the C&O canal for hiking and biking. We do sell firewood for $7.00 that's around 13 pieces of wood. Also Big Goats Ice-Cream & Hotdog Shack is open on the property on certain days. So you can get something to eat in walking distance. This is open to the public, but days and hours are limited. Let it be known you can not see the campsites from the Ice-Cream Shack so you still have your privacy. There is cornhole by the shack that you are welcome to play. There will be more things added to the property in the near future. So come on out to the mountains and be our guest.

Peaceful camping with privacy on a 160-acre historic farm! Minutes from Harpers Ferry, Antietam Battlefield and the C&O Canal to name a few. We are within an hour of Gettysburg and within an hour and a half of DC if you're planning a day trip. We have a prime central location with close access to so many things to do. This beautiful property is nestled in a narrow valley between Elk Ridge and South Mountain with incredible sunrises, sunsets and starlit night skies. Walk out to the fishing pond, or follow the trails around the pastures to meet the cattle grazing in our pastures. We have Scottish Highlands and Black Angus grazing as well as Alpacas. We also have beautiful peacocks on the property. We are a working farm so expect to see tractors and you may even see us baling hay or tending to the cattle. You may smell some animal smells which we work at keeping to a minimum but again, we are a working farm. It’s a true farm experience. Also, please keep in mind that during warm weather you may encounter some bugs. Gnats and flies are always a possibility and of course at times they can be worse than others. That can always be a possibility when camping or being outdoors. Bring bug spray, citronella and anything else to help with insects. If you stay by the pond you may hear frogs which personally I enjoy hearing but some may not. Consider bringing a generator and run a fan if you think the sound might bother you or some way to block sounds. We enjoy talking to our guests so feel free to stop us for a chat. At the RV sites you have 30 and 50 amp power as well as water. All the water spickets are potable and drinkable.

Taneytown, 1836, has an extraordinary antique store that is a delight to browse; as well as fine dining, drive through, an open air beer garden and close by grocery stores. Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard. Additional things to see: Boating in Carroll County Maryland. Local wineries Ski Liberty Carroll is a full service county whatever your needs. Let your children and dogs roam free without a leash. This property is remote and private. There are no neighbors nearby. This location is; twenty minutes north of I-76 Turnpike Willow Hill Exit forty-five minutes from Raystown Lake one hour and thirty minutes north of Gettysburg one hour and thirty minutes south of PSU three hours east of Pittsburgh three hours west of Philadelphia five hours west of NYC There is some cell service, but it is limited. Can you hear me now? Be sure to save site information on your phone before you leave, in case you lose cell-service. This is not Alaska, but it is not a KOA campground, either. We recommend you print of bring a paper map. Your GPS will not bring you to the exact driveway location. You need to be personally observant. This is the top of a mountain ridge. The access lane is steep, rocky, and has water erosion ditches you must drive over. Do not attempt this if you have a low profile car or a new/fragile camper. 4WD/AWD is highly recommended. Low profile and fancy cars are not recommended. This is not Alaska, but it is not a paved KOA campground, either. This camping site is for those who want to live ruggedly like Lewis Clark. It is NOT for those who like their campground to be like The Villages of Florida where everything is flat, paved over, and you drive golf carts. This location is in a mix of farmland and mountain Appalachia. You will see common species such as chipmunks, squirrels turkey and deer. Many bird species. There are also porcupines, skunks, and black snakes around. You may also see black bear - it is rare, but possible. You are visiting wildlife species in their natural habitat. Please be self-aware of your own level comfort with wildlife. Once again, this is not an RVs park where you will socialize with a hundred other campers. This is primitive and isolated. This is an ideal camping spot if you want to escape from people. Nearby is the Tuscarora Creek which is excellent for trout fishing. The Tuscarora has a small but lovely window for kayaking from mid-March through the end of May. Please contact the host if you would like help to plan some paddle logistics.
