Our unique location is close to Bend city limits and right next to Horse Ridge Mountain Biking Trails. BLM land surrounds the area, and is even accessible from the upper part of our property. Come out and enjoy the high desert and expore the juniper forest. We have tent camping sites and one tipi. We are currently in the process of still building out our glamping pods. However in the mean time you can currently book a stay at thoses sites for tent camping. The tent sites offer a comfortable setting for your tent in the sandy dirt. Each site includes a picnic table and a fire pit. We have a small community area! There you will find a mini outdoor kitchen with a blackstone and a bbq. (We have no water on-site) This is also where the trash bins are located. There is also a basketball hoop, yoga deck, and pull up /hanging bars. Next to the community area is where you will also find the bathroom, which is a clean porta potty. Come enjoy wandering the juniper forest and sage brush in Central Oregon’s high desert. We are next to 100’s of acres of BLM land, including the Horse Ridge Mountain Biking Trail System. There is hiking, biking, horse trails and ATV trails all nearby. Our open skies are great for daydreaming and stargazing. Come see how bright the milky way is out here Sage Ridge. Sage Ridge is only 15 miles east of Bend right off of Hwy 20.

Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now. I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”.

This hidden gem is quiet yet close to everything — with a couple of restaurants just up the street less than 5 minutes away. Tents, truck campers, and RVs up to 40’ are all welcome. Pets are allowed, as long as you pick up after them. The RV pad area and front yard are accessible, and the site is well-shaded by tall pine trees, so it stays comfortable even on hot days. The neighborhood is about as safe as they come — you could literally leave things unlocked and nothing would happen. I’m a Central Oregon native and happy to help with recommendations or local tips to make your stay even better.

Then wake up to the smell of our Juniper trees and watch our local group of mule deer grazing through the yard with views of Tumalo Mountain. Just across the street starts the Canal Trail that heads East and West. A 5 min bike ride East along the trail will take you to a Fred Meyer Grocery store, Starbucks, and much much more. Or take the Canal Trail West through the massive 123+ acres of forested public land that connects directly to the Deschutes River Trail (only 4 mins away). Once there, the outdoor activities are endless! Great fishing, bouldering, biking, swimming, rafting, and nature viewing spots are all within a couple minute walk from our home. Heading to the Old Mill or Hayden Homes Amphitheater for some shopping, a concert, restaurants, or drinks? It all starts 3/4 of a mile down the hill! We have a private, single site located on the banks of the McKenzie River in Rainbow, Oregon. The campsite is near our home, but feels private. The access driveway and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Long trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. We have a porta-potty on site Memorial Day through Labor Day. The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs. There are also four restaurants, a food cart, golf course and a general store nearby.

The site is gravel so you may need to level your rig. We have a fantastic outdoor area complete with couch, loungers, BBQ and fire pit. The high desert offers some of the most amazing views of the Cascade Mountains with clear blue skies and some of the best star gazing around. Casa del Lago is a dark sky site. There is a fantastic view of Mount Jefferson from the couch and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful. During the Summer we usually enjoy beautiful sunny days and cool comfortable nights. You can hang out down at the lake and find a spot on the beach to have a picnic. You can also bring your boat or rent one at the Cove Palisades Marina and enjoy water sports. Hosts live in house on property. We are located 4 miles from the lake and are nestled in a rural country neighborhood.

We love this Upriver spot!! It was our second time staying here. It's a perfect set up for groups with both RV's and tent campers. Lots of space, with a large fire pit and walking trails down to the river. Steve keeps it tidy with just the right amount of yard art and additional landscaping. He lives on site, so he's available if you need anything, but keeps to himself. The location is great for golfing, fishing, hiking--with easy access to the Willamette National Forest.

Great camping spot! We showed up on a whim, booked a site, and had a nice night camping! The stars are mind blowing. The area is pretty sandy though, so be prepared for some cleanup afterwards. There was also a verrrry friendly kitty that came to say hi (and tried to go home with us) which added some fun to the evening.

This was our second time staying here. We really appreciate the generous check in time (1pm) because we can drop our trailer and easily get in a hike, etc instead of losing a day. Easy access to 97 and we were left to ourselves. It’s a big area where you can easily position your equipment to maximize privacy- though we only saw 2 vehicles drive by the whole time we were there. We will be back!

Easy to find. The view of the canal is amazing! If you pull in nose first, you'll have a better view out the side door of your rig, and a bit more privacy. You are parked right near a road that is only busy at rush hour times, it seems like. The road noise wasn't too bad. Michelle's property is beautiful. Michele herself is a very lovely person to talk to. We met 2 of her children as well. Very nice kids. If you have your pup along, go to Pine Nursery Park. It's not far away and their dog park is awesome.

Weekend Trip to Bend Canal Mini-Farm

Great space in town. There are houses around on large properties and the RV space is right on the road. The road was busy at times but not bad, and still felt private. We were working all weekend so we didn’t hang out much. Perfect to come back to rest! Thank you and we will consider it next time we’re in town.

Great Hipcamp! The pictures show what you actually get! The camp was very clean and well maintained! There were tons of activities and amenities! Would be a great place to take the family camping! We had the whole campground to ourselves, it was very quiet and relaxing. We had our two dogs with us and it was very accommodating for them too! The campground cat even came for a few visits! You can tell that the hosts take a lot of pride in their campground and work hard to make it a safe place for all!

Weekend Trip to Upriver Paradise "Private Retreat"

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Upriver Paradise and it was truly a delightful experience for us and our friends who came along with their trailer too! Plenty of room for both of us to park our trailers with riverfront views. Beautiful, private spot in the forest along a picturesque river, a perfect escape into nature! The scenery is amazing and Steve has done a fantastic job putting his personal touches all around this retreat! We enjoyed the soothing sound of the flowing river, it's a great spot for relaxation. It’s also a great spot for exploring near by waterfalls, hot springs and lakes! The grounds are well-maintained, with the cleanest porta potty you will ever see. There are plenty of chairs, picnic tables and benches throughout the retreat as well. Overall, I highly recommend Upriver for anyone looking to connect with nature. We can't wait to return!

This site was easy to access from the highway. Maybe too easy since we could hear the cars and trucks from the highway, but it was not an overwhelming noise. Otherwise very clean, quiet, and just as the description said. There were only two other campers, I think, so no problems with the toilet capacity.

We stayed at Susan’s place for four days and very much enjoyed it! Quiet and with lots of amenities including Porta potty, sink, grill and lovely seating area with a hammock. It was very well maintained-highly recommend it!

Beautiful, quiet, isolated, yet easy to find spot on East Lake. Close to Bend and LaPine. Lots of ducks and other birds, chipmunks, and we could hear other critters roaming around at night. David was a lovely host. Would definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Sage Ridge

Site is well-configured for privacy while also enabling community space. Not too far from Bend, but far enough to be quiet and have very clear night skies free from light pollution (excellent views of the Milky Way). Main gravel road is well-kept and portable toilet was set up with hand soap and water for hand washing. The site kitties are cute and playful, but I would caution against letting them snuggle up too tightly. One of them got a bit excited and left scents (from glands) on our sleeping bags, and that forced us to abandon open air sleeping for tent camping.
