Our stay at Dave’s camp was nothing short of spectacular! The communication was top-notch, with clear, easy-to-follow directions that made our arrival seamless. The gated entry gave us a great sense of security, allowing us to fully unwind. The grounds were stunningly beautiful, offering a serene and secluded atmosphere—it truly felt like we were the only ones there, even with another group at the second camp. The highlight was the breathtaking view of the night sky; the stars were absolutely dazzling, providing an unforgettable stargazing experience. Our stay at Pine Camp #2 couldn’t have been better! The only thing we heard were birds in the morning and an occasional woodpecker. Hookups were easy to use and worked perfectly! The only negative is we had to leave! I strongly recommend Pine Camp to those looking for peace and quiet in the Crater Lake area. We would absolutely return!

The campsite host was very welcoming upon our arrival. Additionally, the entire site is well taken care of, and site facilities are clean. If you love waterfalls this is the perfect place to book as there are numerous falls that are only short hikes.

We had a lovely stay at Lara’s. Best Hipcamp around! Beautiful surroundings, lots of cute animals on the property. And delicious homemade treats at the farm stand! Outdoor shower was also amazing !

Lara and the animals were kind enough to help me out with a couple skits I was doing for a Hipcamp campaign! I’ve never seen this good of people farming at this kind of scale before and it’s one of the coolest things to hear about. Lara is hilarious, and you’re gonna have to get a few things from her farm stand during your stay 😋✌️

Weekend Trip to Gambrel Arts Collective

This was a great spot when you need a place for a quick stop. It’s all dry camping with no hook ups for electricity or water and no garbage but there is compost. Our kids had a great time biking in parking lot and playing basketball. (Ages 5,7 and 9) Bring your own basketball. There are pickleball lines but not net. We pulled in at 7pm and left by 8am. We’d stay here again. Host was very friendly. Can’t beat the price!

Sunny Valley Resort is a unique and off the grid experience. We use a reliable Satellite service that delivers a great signal to each tipi and across 5 acres. Each tipi has its own deck with a private outdoor toilet and instant hot water outdoor shower, comfy beds, fire pits, carpeting, kitchenette with fresh local coffee, tea, goodies, creamer and sugar. Clean filtered spring water. We have lots of fun activities for families. Our tipis are spaced respectfully apart from each other for privacy. All four tipis come equipped with at least one queen size bed, some have two, and three to four very comfortable couch beds, dishes, cups, silverware and pour over coffee maker and hot water kettle. Very comfortable bedding, sheets, blankets, towels, lights, pillows, wash cloths, robes, hand towels, toilet paper, blow dryer, vanity, portable DVD player, fan, heater, tv tray, luggage rack, fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detecter, first aid kit, board games, cooler, propane fire pit inside the tipi and wood fire pit outside on your deck. There is a toilet for urine and foot pump sink inside the tipi and outside of the tipi there is a separate shower and toilet for everything else. The shower has instant hot water and lasts a long time for an amazing shower experience. Both shower and toilet are outdoors and on your deck but enclosed for privacy. Each deck has furniture, umbrellas with misting system, lights, and fire pits. You can see the outdoor movie screen from each tipi deck. We have a giant outdoor movie screen with epic sound system because hey, we don’t have any neighbors and we can have some fun for family reunions and parties, weddings or any other gatherings that mean something special to you. We also have an axe throwing station, hammocks, pickle ball court, basketball, trampoline, badminton, corn hole, garden, two ponds, one is a lily pond the other is very big and we have two pedal boats, a paddle board, floating island, float toys, and a floating deck and 155 acres of private hiking and mushroom foraging. This specific piece of land holds very special energy. Guests have plenty of activities, comfortable beds, lots of oxygen because we are tucked into a forest, and a peaceful off grid environment. You will also drink fresh spring water filtered through one of the finest filtration systems, The Berkey Filters. All of these factors contribute to very good sleep. Our guests biggest compliment is how well they sleep. We are also 15 minutes away from the Rogue River! We offer tours to the Redwoods, Oregon coast, Oregon caves, and a Rogue River scenic drive, The ghost town of Golden and the Wolf Creek tavern, which has been on the tv show Ghost Adventures. The cost of the tours depend on the cost of gas at the time of the tour. We have a fully loaded outdoor kitchen with hot running water, community mini fridge, induction cook tops, pots and pans, silverware, cups, dishes, coffee maker, popcorn maker, coffee grinder, spices and a spice rack, paella pans, pizza maker, bbqs both propane and charcoal, dish rack, cleaning supplies, mixing bowls, cutting boards, knives, and most cooking utensils that are used regularly. On Saturdays we set up a crafting table so kids and adults can paint, build, sculpt and create cool things to take home. We offer fresh eggs with advance notice and offer goodies from our garden and fruit trees when in season. We do not charge to use pedal boats, Pickleball, paddle boards or any other activities on the property. Yoga classes are donation based. We pick up from the Rogue Valley Medford International airport for a fee and welcome solo and world travelers. We are a dog friendly resort. If you have an aggressive dog you will be required to keep your dog on a leash. There is an additional fee for dogs. We have animals on the property including dogs, lots of birds including two handsome peacocks, deer, and squirrels. There could be cougars, wolves, foxes and bears in the surrounding forest area although we never see them and we do have a barrier.

Crater Lake Resort

Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters. Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close. Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods. Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse & buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall. Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake. Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you. The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary. The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge. Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. You may also spot the prolific wild hazelnuts. As Forest Stewards, we are committed to maintaining a well balanced and diverse forest ecosystem.

This isn't any airconditioned motel room- this is the real deal. Owners are Native American. An experience of a lifetime. Questions will be answered, info. available. Also a art gallery of their artwork is on site in the office. Come and enjoy! Their ranch, Heartline Ranch & Tipi Village is on Crater Lake Highway (Hwy 62) just 26 miles down from Crater Lake. They have designated 15 acres for a primitive Campgrounds and Tipi village sites. September of 2020 we were sadly effected by the Wildfire- TwoFourTwo which took 5 of our 6 tipis. We have been able to clean up, regrow and make ready for camping guests. We once again have 6 tipis, all beautiful, and in addition, 6 new camping sites for people with their own tents. Sorry, NO rv's (vans are allowed.) Its wonderful to see all the beautiful regrowth, and to see that most of our trees have regenerated. It is now once again a beautiful place to be. It is their love for this land and a desire to share the beauty and Native experience with others to led them to open up these campgrounds. Our ranch has 250 acres of land, great hiking trails that you will have access to for hiking, next to the Winema National Forest, and connected to the Pacific Crest Trail. You will have space to enjoy this beauty. The owner's horses are rescue horses and are their own private property. Please do NOT feed them or go up to them without the owners being there. Horses have delicate stomachs. Our gentle giants are mellow but very big so please stay OUT of their pasture. You may help us during their feeding time, if you ask owners.

There is four campsites of your choosing to choose from.The river is within walking distance, easily accessible off the main road, just about two car lengths away, off Sunna Ln. Additionally, I have a gravel driveway, mostly level, with room for one RV on the main driveway off Sprague River Road. This spot offers a river view and access for kayaking, fishing, and swimming. It's approximately 5 miles to the town of Chiloquin, about 35 miles from Crater Lake, roughly 12 miles from Collier Park Museum (a logging museum), and Spring Creek, around 32 miles to Klamath Falls.
