Creek-Front Sanctuary x Crater Lake

Birthroots Sanctuary is simply magic. In our sanctuary, you will be surrounded by butterflies, dragon flies and humming birds and catch glimpses of otters, eagles, fox and kingfishers. The land is a riparian preserve and native medicinal botanical sanctuary. The entire sanctuary totals 11 acres with 1/4 mile of private creek. The Sanctuary Campground is 1 private acre with creek front (both sides), private beach and private trail. 8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers. The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to October 15 and the Gers are all 12 months. Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. This being the 4th year, things have gotten a little out of hand. So let's regergitate some things and make sure everyone understands how it is. If you aren't capable of practicing the 5 P's, then you need to book somewhere else. Proper Preperation Prevents Poor Performance. If you can't get here and have your camp set up by 8:00PM, showing respect to the other Hipcampers that are already set up and enjoying the PEACE AND QUIET, then you need to book somewhere else or don't come until the following morning. No driving down to the campsites/the lake after 8::00PM. Period. Communicate with me. If you leave Portland at 5:00 PM with the intention of spending the night in Heaven then you need to alter your plans. No more than 4 adults at each campsite. I am almost to the point of saying no BIG DOGS. If you got big dogs, my suggestion is you go book someplace else. Talk to me. It is a given they willl need to be on a tethered throughout your time in Heaven. Take them for walks along the lake, not having them run thru everyone elses camp sites. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no yippers, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. You need to listen to music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. The chipmunks, the squirrels, all the different birds, the eagles, the osprey, the fish jumping, the deer roaming, the timber martins running thru the trees, the snowshoe rabbits and the occasional black bear. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”. So, while you are here, take a deep breath, close your eyes at the appropriate moment and ask yourself, am I on the right path? Is what I am doing fulfilling me? Am I showing my family and friends how much I love them? Do I really need all that crap I got? Where do I go from here? My intention was for each one you to not just go camping, or to stay in a Mongolian Ger but to have an “Experience” that just might lead you to a more fulfilling and happier life.

We have been able to clean up, regrow and make ready for camping guests. Its wonderful to see all the beautiful regrowth, and to see that most of our trees have regenerated. It is now once again a beautiful place to be. It is their love for this land and a desire to share the beauty and Native experience with others to led them to open up these campgrounds. There is 5 acres, but currently have 3 tipi sites and 4 camping sites for folks with their own tents, so LOTS of privacy. Our ranch has 250 acres of land, great hiking trails, next to the Winema National Forest, and connected to the Pacific Crest Trail. You will have space to enjoy this beauty. The owner's 5 horses are rescue horses and are their own private property. Please do NOT feed them or go up to them without the owners being there. Horses have delicate stomachs. Our gentle giants are mellow but very big so please stay OUT of their pasture. You may help us during their feeding time, if you ask owners.

We've been enjoying this special spot with family and friends for over 25 years, and now we want to share it with you. We appreciate the four seasons here on our 120 acres in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta. Our property is adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest. It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek. We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

Lakeshore Villa RV Park

Located in Lakehead, California, Lakeshore Villa RV Park spans over 6.7 acres and features two outdoor restrooms with free hot showers, picnic tables and trails. We cater to large and small RVs and trailers ranging from 16 feet long to over 40 feet long plus sufficient space for a towing vehicle. Most of our spaces are approximately 16-24 wide and some are even wider, accommodating everyone's needs. Our sites feature 30 amp and 50 amp hookup service with full hookup to water with each space providing a sewer drain. As a convenience to our guests, propane is sold on site. The park backs up to a creek where swimming and fishing are popular. Fishing requires a state license which can be purchased online. Outdoor BBQ is allowed but, currently, no charcoal or wood burning is permitted due to the recent fires. Propane tank or electric BBQs are acceptable. Please note that trains do run near our park and throughout the City of Lakehead. Welcome to Back of Beyond. We are the only year-round residents living off of Camas Prairie in the North Warner Mountains, perched at 5,700' elevation. We have owned this beautiful piece of ground since 1996. It has ponderosa and aspen forests with a few white firs, junipers, and willows along the seasonal creek. Wild flowers are all over these mountains from Spring through September. The Squirrelville cabin was built in the early 1920s by a Lake County judge. The Whitetail cabin was built just after WW2 and is fully plumbed w/ hot water and a redwood deck, perfect for gazing at the stars. We are a member of Dark Skies Oregon, there is no light pollution, and on a clear night you can see the Milky Way. Privacy and solitude are on tap here: We are up against the Fremont National Forest, a massive 2.4 million acre forest offering multiple hiking and walking trails & winter sports. Speaking of winter sports, Warner Canyon Ski Area and Camas Sno Park are only a 5 minute drive away. The road running along our property is part of the 50+ miles of trail through the North Warner Mountain range, and into California. Love biking? It is also part of the new Timber Mountain Bike trail, as well as the Oregon Natural Desert Association alternative route to Lakeview. If you're looking to take home some of Oregon’s finest sunstones, South Central and Southeastern Oregon are the only areas in the world where the gem-graded sunstones with copper inclusions are found. Better yet, the Sunstone Public Collection Area is only an hour and 45 minutes away from camp. We are a mere 10 miles from the wide open spaces of the Great Basin, and a short drive to Hart Mt. Antelope Refuge. You get 2 ecosystems for the price of one! Hart Mountain Hot Springs and Petroglyph Lake are all an easy day trip away. Discover the largest concentration of Native petroglyphs in the entire state of Oregon, on and around Hart Mountain. Native Americans have lived in this area for over 10,000 years. Fishing enthusiasts will be happy to hear that native Red Band trout are in many water ways close by. Fly-fishing on Deep Creek and Vee Lake, or lure fishing for crappie and bass in the Warner Lakes, as well as Drew's and Cottonwood Reservoirs, Dog Lake, and Goose Lake. Seasonal wild flowers and bird watching are all very close at hand. Bird watch at the foot of Hart Mountain in the Warner Valley, where a series of lakes and wetlands form part of the Western Flyway for migrating birds. There are trails and blinds for bird watchers. Our water is pure Artesian spring water that we do not need to touch w/ chemicals.

Junipers Reservoir RV Resort was created approximately 30 years ago. The RV resort sits at the end of a one mile gravel driveway, on the edge of a juniper forest overlooking the 200 acre Junipers Reservoir and its surrounding meadows. A large lawn and cedar buildings sit at the center of the oval shaped RV park, with the generously sized camping sites angled along the outside edge to provide the best views. The resort boasts free fishing in the reservoir for trout, hiking and biking trails, rock-hounding, bird watching, wildlife viewing, horseshoes, and volleyball. We have hot showers, laundry machines, restrooms, BBQ's, Covered Pavilion, park benches, and lots of lawns. Plenty of room for tent campers. We have an enclosed dog off-leash run area. Plenty of trees for shade, fresh air and blue skies. At night we are far enough from town that the dark night lights up with stars. We've been enjoying this special spot with family and friends for over 25 years, and now we want to share it with you. We appreciate the four seasons here on our 120 acres in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta. Our property is adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest. It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek. We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers. The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to October 15 and the Gers are all 12 months. Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. This being the 4th year, things have gotten a little out of hand. So let's regergitate some things and make sure everyone understands how it is. If you aren't capable of practicing the 5 P's, then you need to book somewhere else. Proper Preperation Prevents Poor Performance. If you can't get here and have your camp set up by 8:00PM, showing respect to the other Hipcampers that are already set up and enjoying the PEACE AND QUIET, then you need to book somewhere else or don't come until the following morning. No driving down to the campsites/the lake after 8::00PM. Period. Communicate with me. If you leave Portland at 5:00 PM with the intention of spending the night in Heaven then you need to alter your plans. No more than 4 adults at each campsite. I am almost to the point of saying no BIG DOGS. If you got big dogs, my suggestion is you go book someplace else. Talk to me. It is a given they willl need to be on a tethered throughout your time in Heaven. Take them for walks along the lake, not having them run thru everyone elses camp sites. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no yippers, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. You need to listen to music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. The chipmunks, the squirrels, all the different birds, the eagles, the osprey, the fish jumping, the deer roaming, the timber martins running thru the trees, the snowshoe rabbits and the occasional black bear. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”. So, while you are here, take a deep breath, close your eyes at the appropriate moment and ask yourself, am I on the right path? Is what I am doing fulfilling me? Am I showing my family and friends how much I love them? Do I really need all that crap I got? Where do I go from here? My intention was for each one you to not just go camping, or to stay in a Mongolian Ger but to have an “Experience” that just might lead you to a more fulfilling and happier life.
