I am going to be in early this year because of the lack of snow. I am going in March 22nd. I have taken the block off of the Gers and the camp sites.
8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers.
The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26.
Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now.
I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts.
Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice?
No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ.
What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”.
Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen.
I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven.

Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters.
Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village.

'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene.
All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock.
Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask!
UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024.
The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry.
Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower.
There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos.
The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away.

NOTE: Please be aware that the mosquitos can be very bad here at times.
Power has recently been going out more frequently due to the Pacific Power's "advanced safety settings". When the power is out the well pump is out, so there is no water. I am happy to provide buckets of river water for "flushing toilets" and pay for showers at the Klamoya Travel Center. I will not be giving refunds for a situation over which I have no control.

This 200 acre property is located within the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, a land bridge where two mountain ranges meet, creating immense biodiversity and natural beauty. Soda Spring is a bourgeoning community tended land located on the unceded territories of the Shasta, Takilma, Latgawa and Klamath peoples, just 10 minutes from the south end of Ashland, Oregon. The property is primarily oak savannah and pastureland, with adjacent fir/pine and madrone/manzanita forests and hillsides. The land sits in a valley where both Soda Creek and Carter Creek enter in to Emigrant Creek as it flows onward to Emigrant Lake, just a mile away. The land is being stewarded by a small group of humans and large community of wildlife and insects. Together we are slowly creating something special... including community event and classroom spaces, gardens, orchards, holistically managed ranch lands, campgrounds and wild places.
Please note that we are a working farm with sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, pigeons and bees. We ask that you are considerate to all the life happening on the land, observing animals at a distance (except the cats, who will not allow for that) and being aware of electric fences. If you bring dogs to the land, (an option only with RV sites) do so at your own risk. Dogs will need to be leashed at all times and cleaned up after meticulously. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe and the land well cared for.

We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close.
Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods.
Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall.
Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake.
Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you.
The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary.
The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge.
Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. Mobile phones connect through WiFi. The cabin is non-smoking. Children six years and up are welcome.
Summer recreational areas are nearby with miles of trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail, are nearby. Howard Prairie Lake is across the road. Howard Prairie Lake is a local favorite for fishing for Rainbow Trout and smallmouth bass. Birdwatchers can see eagles, pelicans, geese, ducks, hawks, herons, and many other bird species.
A 25-minute drive will take you to Lake of the Woods, where you can dine, hike, and kayak, or snowshoe and cross-country ski in the winter. Crater Lake National Park is 65 miles away.

Bring your own sleeping bags. Outhouse provided. Additional tents and people are allowed. Area for tents and RV’s is large grassy wooded area. Great for large gatherings of friends or family who enjoy camping.
Large cook shack with gravity fed water. Propane camp stove, lots of kitchen equipment. Black stone grill and drinking water. At the pavilion there is an outdoor fire pit and propane fire ring under the shelter. Lots of chairs for sitting in the sun or shade and a couple hammocks too. Mountain bike/hiking trails run throughout property as well as National forest trails within a few miles.
North Fork River swimming 10 minutes away. Golf course across Westoak Rd. Sit on the porch and enjoy the solitude only minutes from Oakridge. Grocery store, etc... all available in Oakridge. Beautiful, safe and secluded. Elk, deer, and other forest critters live here too.

Their ranch, Heartline Ranch & Tipi Village is on Crater Lake Highway (Hwy 62) just 26 miles down from Crater Lake. They have designated 15 acres for a primitive Campgrounds and Tipi village sites. September of 2020 we were sadly effected by the Wildfire- TwoFourTwo which took 5 of our 6 tipis. We have been able to clean up, regrow and make ready for camping guests. We once again have 6 tipis, all beautiful, and in addition, 6 new camping sites for people with their own tents. Sorry, NO rv's (vans are allowed.) Its wonderful to see all the beautiful regrowth, and to see that most of our trees have regenerated. It is now once again a beautiful place to be.
It is their love for this land and a desire to share the beauty and Native experience with others to led them to open up these campgrounds. There is 15 acres in the immediate campgrounds & 6 tipi sites and 6 camping sites for folks with their own tents, so LOTS of privacy. Our ranch has 250 acres of land, great hiking trails that you will have access to for hiking, next to the Winema National Forest, and connected to the Pacific Crest Trail.
You will have space to enjoy this beauty. The owner's horses are rescue horses and are their own private property. Please do NOT feed them or go up to them without the owners being there. Horses have delicate stomachs. Our gentle giants are mellow but very big so please stay OUT of their pasture.

Whisper Canyon Ranch is first and foremost a weekend wedding and event venue, which means every corner of the property has been thoughtfully designed for beauty, comfort, and gathering. During the week and on select weekends outside of private events, we open our gates to travelers looking for something a little more memorable than an ordinary campground.
Whether you're pitching your own tent, arriving in a camper van, staying in one of our cozy cabins, or settling into a fully furnished bell tent at Glamp Camp, you'll become part of our little forest village for a while.
For groups looking to gather, we also offer private bookings for retreats, workshops, reunions, celebrations, and other meaningful events. With beautiful gathering spaces, overnight accommodations, and room to spread out, Whisper Canyon Ranch is an unforgettable place to bring people together.

🔥 Glamp Camp Commons – Home to our three beautifully furnished bell tents, this shared space includes a communal camp kitchen and propane fire pit (when seasonal fire restrictions allow).

.The reverence for this powerful land is palpable.. I appreciated the shrines as much as the structures. The way the camp is set up is so well thought out. I love the tea room, the kitchen and that beautiful shower room overlooking the river. The people who work there are wonderful. Staying in the gnome dome was delightful. I can’t believe how cool it was even during the hottest part of the afternoons.
I wish I had known how high above the river we were. As an old lady with arthritis, I was unable to access either one of the steep paths down to the river. It’s a camp designed for able bodied people. Even simple things like no hand rails on the steps to the toilets made it more difficult for me to negotiate.
But even with the mobility challenges, it was a deeply healing experience staying there. When we left, we were surprised at the shift in energy. Cave Junction is a funky Oregon town, very different in feeling from Cedar Bloom. You have created an oasis of beauty, power and delight. Thank you!

Staying at cedar bloom was such a wonderful and peaceful experience! The property is beautiful and there are so many thoughtful touches. I loved having access to a full kitchen, chest freezer, and walk-in cooler (note that the temp was around 50-60 degrees so we kept our food in cooler bags with ice in the walk-in cooler to make sure nothing spoiled). My favorite parts of our stay were the shower house with the beautiful patio, the tea house, and all the different river access points — especially jumping off the little floating dock! The river is so clear and a stunning blueish-teal color. Couldn’t recommend this place enough — it was my favorite glamping experience :)

Absolutely perfect spot for our family. We had no idea what to expect as it was our first time visiting and glamping. Our tent was perfect for my family of four. It opened right onto a crystal clear (and very cold) creek and wildflowers. My boys were entertained with swings, hiked, corn hole, pickleball, etc. The staff was very nice and their store had anything you might have needed. The bathrooms were clean and the water for the showers hot. We will be back at glamp tent #2!

We had the best time at Ruby’s Cabin and already can’t wait to come back. We stayed for several nights and honestly wish we could have extended our trip.
Our days were spent exploring, spotting wildlife, and just slowing down and enjoying being together. We had 12 adults and 4 kids, and the property was perfect for our group. Everyone had their own space to retreat to, but we spent most of our time together in the shared kitchen and common areas.
We definitely overpacked! Next time we’ll just bring our sleeping gear and coolers of food because the cabin really has everything you need.
Jay and Tamara have created such a special place. You can tell they’ve put so much thought into making it comfortable, welcoming, and a place where families and friends can truly connect. From the moment we arrived until we headed home, everything was wonderful.
This was one of those trips we’ll all remember, and we’re already talking about when we can come back. We couldn’t recommend Ruby’s Cabin more.

The structure is very simple, but perfect for our needs.
We are typically tent campers and this was a great way to just get away and not load as much gear.
I was unable to enjoy a lot of the features due to recovering from bilateral knee replacement surgery. But everybody spoke highly of swimming in the river.

We had a lovely night stargazing by the fire and slept great in the spacious tent. All the amenities you need centered in the beauty of the land and zero waste principles. The Osprey gert was a wonderful cozy place to cool our jets. The lake is right there. We paddled around in the provided canoe on the beach. Everything needed for a comfortable stay is there. Just bring food and bedding and it's relax time. David has this place dialed in. We will be back.

Loved the warm welcome and intro by Lara and getting to hear the farm story & animal backgrounds. The grounds are well cared for the location is stunning!
