I am going to be in early this year because of the lack of snow. I am going in March 22nd. I have taken the block off of the Gers and the camp sites.
8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers.
The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26.
Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now.
I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts.
Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice?
No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ.
What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”.
Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen.
I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven.

Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters.
Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village.

'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene.
All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock.
Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask!
UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024.
The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry.
Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower.
There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos.
The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away.

This 200 acre property is located within the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, a land bridge where two mountain ranges meet, creating immense biodiversity and natural beauty. Soda Spring is a bourgeoning community tended land located on the unceded territories of the Shasta, Takilma, Latgawa and Klamath peoples, just 10 minutes from the south end of Ashland, Oregon. The property is primarily oak savannah and pastureland, with adjacent fir/pine and madrone/manzanita forests and hillsides. The land sits in a valley where both Soda Creek and Carter Creek enter in to Emigrant Creek as it flows onward to Emigrant Lake, just a mile away. The land is being stewarded by a small group of humans and large community of wildlife and insects. Together we are slowly creating something special... including community event and classroom spaces, gardens, orchards, holistically managed ranch lands, campgrounds and wild places.
Please note that we are a working farm with sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, pigeons and bees. We ask that you are considerate to all the life happening on the land, observing animals at a distance (except the cats, who will not allow for that) and being aware of electric fences. If you bring dogs to the land, (an option only with RV sites) do so at your own risk. Dogs will need to be leashed at all times and cleaned up after meticulously. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe and the land well cared for.

We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close.
Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods.
Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall.
Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake.
Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you.
The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary.
The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge.
Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. Power has recently been going out more frequently due to the Pacific Power's "advanced safety settings". When the power is out the well pump is out, so there is no water. I am happy to provide buckets of river water for "flushing toilets" and pay for showers at the Klamoya Travel Center. I will not be giving refunds for a situation over which I have no control.

The cabin is tucked away on the property offering beautiful views from your 4x10 covered porch. The perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, watch the sunset, or simply soak up the peaceful surroundings.
The cabin also has an attached private bathroom with a flushing toilet and an on demand water heater for the shower.

Out’n’About is a treehouse resort located right next to the siskiyou national forest. The 40+ acre property is partially forested with horse pastures and meadows. There are 15 rentals, of which most are treehouses built in oak groves or Douglas fir trees. There is a main lodge where breakfast is served. Outside there is a shared kitchen pavilion with additional bathrooms. There are numerous bbqs, picnic tables, and a shared fire pit.
There is a fresh water swimming pool, a ping pong table, tree trampolines, and tons of swings for the kids of all ages. For additional fees we also offer massage, horse back riding, ziplining and arts classes.

We were fortunate to be warmly welcomed by Julie and Clay!! Amazing property with everything you need to enjoy outside and stay comfortable inside! We enjoyed using the very much cared for outside sink & personal outside bathroom. Everything is well lit! Our child loved all the children's books, space to ride his bike, toys, horseshoes game, & loft! The cabin was well kept, clean, functional and very well thought out (bottled water, coffee, paper towels, etc). No harsh cleaner smell- bonus! Gentle essential oil smell- loved it! They have soft sleeping pads available and bring your own bedding-- perfect set up! THANK YOU JULIE AND CLAY! We'd love to come back!!

Weekend Trip to Sunny Valley Campground
We had a good experience staying in the Cabin #7. I wish we had a canopy to put over a picnic table outside during the rainy day. God willing, we plan to come back again. Host was prompt in responses via app.

The Perfect Basecamp!

This place is an absolute dream! Tucked away near stunning Paulina Lake inside the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, it offers the perfect mix of wilderness escape and city convenience. We were just a short, scenic drive away, close enough to grab amazing food but far enough to feel completely off-grid and peaceful.
The site felt private and serene, with great views all around. After a day of adventure, having a hot shower and comfortable bed was the perfect way to end the day.
Whether you're here for the outdoors vibes, this spot nails it. We're already planning our next trip!
Pros: Secluded, amazing scenery, great host.

Beautiful view! Debbie helps you feel comfortable and welcomed with wonderful communication of how things work. She’s incredibly thoughtful of details.
If you enjoy “glamping” she has this place all set up for modified use.
Waking up to the sound of chickens brings a smile I haven’t had since I was a kid. The horses were the icing on top.
Great location and we felt safe.

Cabin 1 at Sunny Valley Campground was great! Clean, cute, and lots of conveniences (nice restrooms, potable water, playground, heater and fridge inside the cabin). The site overall was quiet and relaxing. Our kids enjoyed biking around the loop. It was the perfect stop on our southern Oregon trip.

2 nights at Cedar Bloom
Cedar Bloom is really special. My husband, daughter and I stayed in the forest dome - awesome. Really big, really comfortable. The land is beautiful and the swimming hole was just what I needed for some end of the summer frolics. And a teahouse and sauna to boot! Possibly the best hipcamp I've stayed at. One thing to note is that the forest dome is a bit of a walk to the toilets and kitchen.

Weekend Trip to Paulina Acre
So my sweet wife and I stayed here to get away from the wildfire smoke because we live near Prineville. This was a really amazing little campsite. Love the sign out front. It was pretty easy to find a place to park really amazing creative bathroom facility and the shower worked pretty good. I couldn’t figure out how to get the hot water on, but probably if I saw the host in person. Probably could’ve figured it out but extremely incredible. Nice set up like the tent was very nice. Very sturdy on a wooden platform incredible patio to sit outside looking out towards BLM land really loved that there was a my buddy heater in the tent itself and really absolutely just loved the mattress. It was so comfortable. We brought our sleeping bag 0° sleeping bag and it was extremely comfortable I asked the host about the mattress and she was right it is fairly firm which she was so rare to find a mattress that’s firm you know for me and my spouse so definitely luxury camping for sure and it really is true. it does get cold at night, but our sleeping bag you know kept us warn and the tent you know is really insulated so to speak it’s it’s a really great tent also, the host was very nice. Easy to talk to very responsive to messages.

We had a wonderful time on the farm. Debbie’s place was very cute and Debbie was extremely welcoming. Her farm is conveniently located close to town so we were able to explore downtown Ashland. Unfortunately our dog found a big pile of horse manure to roll around in. Luckily it was in the morning so we could take him straight to the dog washing station nearby. We would definitely return in the future.

Debbie was a great host. She made sure we had everything we needed both days we stayed at the cabin and was very responsive with communications. The single bed and loft bed were comfy. The loft is accessed with a ladder but we had no problems getting into the loft. The view is gorgeous and it’s a good place for star gazing. Highly recommend this place.

We had such a fun stay in the wagon! It was a unique and memorable camping experience, and we really enjoyed being surrounded by the beautiful trees and peaceful setting. The wagon was such a fun place to stay, especially for a little outdoor adventure. We also really appreciated how clean and well-maintained the bathrooms were. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this Hipcamp to others!

1 night at Cedar Bloom
My daughter and I had such a wonderful time at Cedar Bloom! We did some crafting, read some Tarot, and went to a lovely restaurant for dinner at River's Edge. After whicg we swam in the swimming hole in the early, then enjoyed a long, hot shower in their STUNNING shower area (there are also private, enclosed showers.) We finished up with a hot cup of tea at the teahouse, then went to read with the sidewall of our A-frame open to the night!
We would have stayed MULTIPLE nights if I hadnt put this on the last night of our trip!
Lovely gift shop, and an extraordinarily kind and courteous caretaker.
10/10 would stay again - 10/10 would stay multiple evenings!

The yurt, host, and location were great. Easy enough to find if you put in the actual GPS coordinates or find it on a map and drop a pin. Host was excellent and accommodated our unexpectedly late arrival (it was one of those days…). Lots of friendly chipmunks and ground squirrels. Pretty lake. Neat hand painted yurt with nice patio area. Will be back.

Words can’t fully describe how much I love Cedar Bloom! The A-Frame was amazing. Beds were super comfy and the cedar smell is wonderful! Sitting on the deck in the morning and afternoon was sublime. Love love love! Can’t wait to come back next year!
